In a recent game, I played Lorekeeper Polkelt after an Astromancer Solarian died. The highest cards in my deck were Solarian Prime, followed by Aluneth. However, although Solarian Prime was drawn on the 1st turn after, Aluneth wasn't drawn on the 2nd turn. (Instead, a 2-cost card was drawn, despite my deck being loaded with 3-cost cards.) Is this a bug? If not, can someone explain what I'm missing?
I like the combo you suggested. I'm not really sure about noticed vs unnoticed combos having stayed away from a lot of the reviews and such, but I thought of a fun, albeit impractical combo I like to call "Exodia Rogue" that can infinitely generate damage (damage only limited by turn and animation time).
2. Either discount at least 2 mana from the above cards in advance or have a Necrium Vial equipped with 1 durability remaining. (Rogue has many ways of cheating mana.) For ease of example, let's say Gadgetzan Auctioneer is discounted to 4 mana. (For more info on Necrium Vial vs discounting, see step 6.)
6. Here there are two scenarios (starting with 6 coins, 3 mana remaining):
If you discounted at least 2 mana in Step 1: a) Play 1 coin, then the 4-mana (discounted in this example) Gadgetzan Auctioneer (5 coins, 0 mana remaining).
If you didn't discount, but have Necrium Vial equipped with 1 durability, play 3 coins and then use the last durability. Then play Gadgetzan Auctioneer and the last 3 coins. This will allow you to draw 2 coins and play Necrium Vial.
8. Keep playing coins until you get the next Necrium Vial, then repeat until you have just enough time to play Spectral Pillager at the end of your turn, targeting the enemy face.
Notes:
1. If you have any extra cards (relative to the cards required in Step 1), you will need to cheat more mana to compensate for the lack of space to hold coins.
2. You could also avoid discounting and any need for Necrium Vial if you are willing to risk playing Spirit of the Shark a turn early, which could also free up hand space.
3. Due to the insane mana generation, you should be able to sometimes pull this combo off without an empty deck.
5. Animation and turn limit will obviously limit damage output, but in theory, I think if you were to have an infinite turn, you would be able to deal infinite damage, similar to Exodia Mage.
Educated Elekk has infinite potential! Looking forward to seeing other combos with this card and in general.
Such a cool card with so much potential for creativity. I'm excited to try an Aluneth deck with this because I've always wanted some way to selectively draw it. For even more reliability you could run spells only with the only minions being Witchwood Piper and Polkelt.
Very high potential for Wild. Will see play in Quest Mage for sure. I'm excited to see if I can rekindle the embers of my freeze mage deck with this card.
Hmm I never knew about that Nozdormu death interaction. I think it would be fun to try something like this with Hakkar to load up as many Corrupted Bloods into the opponents deck as possible or even speed up the fatigue death with additional meme factor.

Oh, I see . . . The Forgotten Torch explains it, my mistake! I didn't realize the shuffle mechanic meaning. Thanks to both

1. Have only Spirit of the Shark, Umbral Skulker, Educated Elekk, Shadowstep, Spectral Pillager and Gadgetzan Auctioneer in hand with Galakrond invoked twice and ideally an empty deck (if the deck's not empty, the combo can still work, just not as reliably).
3. Play Spirit of the Shark (6 mana remaining).
3. Play Umbral Skulker (6 coins, 2 mana remaining).
4. Play 1 coin, then Educated Elekk, then play the rest of the coins (5 mana remaining).
5. Shadowstep Umbral Skulker and play her again (6 coins, 3 mana remaining).
6. Here there are two scenarios (starting with 6 coins, 3 mana remaining):
a) Play 1 coin, then the 4-mana (discounted in this example) Gadgetzan Auctioneer (5 coins, 0 mana remaining).
7. Play Necrium Vial on Educated Elekk, (which will trigger Gadgetzan Auctioneer and in theory draw you a coin).
8. Keep playing coins until you get the next Necrium Vial, then repeat until you have just enough time to play Spectral Pillager at the end of your turn, targeting the enemy face.

3. Due to the insane mana generation, you should be able to sometimes pull this combo off without an empty deck.
4. Myra's Unstable Element could also be used to quickly empty the deck.
5. Animation and turn limit will obviously limit damage output, but in theory, I think if you were to have an infinite turn, you would be able to deal infinite damage, similar to Exodia Mage.

Finally, we have a way to selectively draw it! Lorekeeper Polkelt

It's painful to see a direct counter to Emperor Thaurissan.

I had a lot of fun with:
1. Embiggen
2. Arcane Tyrant
3. Pick a 5 cost spell such as Starfall
4. Arcane Giant
They almost always ban Arcane Giant, which leaves you with mega Tyrants on turn 5.

As someone who doesn't put money into this game, I'd like to know if I need to save up the gold to get the cards.
