This deck is so fun, but it does lose to G'huun and Big Priest unless you get very lucky. I run a slightly different version, but I consistently beat aggro decks, with the exception of maybe Lothraxion Odd Paladin.
For the record, there is a Duels achievement that rewards XP based on the amount of games won for a total of 8200 XP if you can reach 12 wins, which is a lot relative to the other achievements. There's also another one that rewards 1500 XP if you can complete a run undefeated (12 wins).
One of the best things about the Arena game mode is the potential to earn your spent gold back, invest it in another arena run, and earn rewards on the side.
Heroic Duels appeals to me for the same reason. However, what's holding me back is the fact that I'm missing a lot of standard cards (as a F2P player) that might be needed - mainly epics and legendaries. What I'm wondering is whether it would be worth it to invest in crafting the necessary standard cards for 6-7 decks (Duels allows you to select one of 4 classes). There are two sub-questions here:
1. Assuming you have all the cards you need, is there any data that would suggest that Heroic Duels has a higher potential than Arena for the consistency of achieving the desired reward goals (e.g. reaching 7 wins)?
2. If Heroic Duels is more consistent than Arena for earning rewards, then the next question would be how much more consistent (e.g. how many more wins per run)? This would help to determine whether the dust investment would be worth it (more valuable relative to Arena over the course of an expansion, perhaps beyond) and how much more time/gold is needed to complete the runs necessary to begin "making a profit" relative to dust expended.
My only guess why Zephrys the Great did not offer lethal is because he may not have recognized the improved stats from The Caverns Below. Is this intended?
Seems like a fun deck. I remember playing against a similar deck and losing as Raza. As a Raza player I've occasionally teched Finley and Grizzled Wizard against Raza myself. A benefit of this is that you can counter the Raza counter by waiting to use Shadowreaper Anduin and when you suspect the opponent has the Finley-Wizard Combo in hand and you don't think the opponent will have access to your Finley, swapping hero powers, then swapping hands. If you play their Finley, then their counter is countered. If they play Anduin, you get the Anduin hero power next turn.
I honestly really like the risk reward balance in this brawl - not because of it being "worth it" statistically, but because of the heightened stakes. I just wish it was draft like in arena. The players that would be most incentivized to take a high risk for a high reward are ones that probably don't already have the content that they desire (cards and dust). Having pre-made decks is weighted in the favor of people who already have most of what they need (e.g. legendary and epic cards that play an important role in decks). It's true that draft includes more chance than pre-made, but in my opinion, it's more fair for newer players and people who don't put money into the game.

I get the reference, but what does it have to do with this deck? I don't see any ravens.

Insight also works in a deck with the only minion in the deck being Horrendous Growth. I completed the 15 attack achievement in my first game. Shadow Visions and Palm Reading recommended.

Happened to me too. I didn't know I could log back in to unfreeze.

In order:
The following cards: Prize Vendor, Banana Vendor, K'thir Ritualist (for mill decks. I might try a hybrid mill-Waygate mage deck just for fun.
C'Thun, the Shattered
Tenwu of the Red Smoke.
Kiri, Chosen of Elune
Cloak of Shadows
N'Zoth, God of the Deep
Ring Toss
Grand Empress Shek'zara
Knife Vendor (for quest completion)

I had 6 minions on board with base attack and health set to 4/4 from The Caverns Below and the opponent had 22 hp, 2 Khartut Defender, and The Lich King. At 10 mana, I played a 0-mana Zephrys the Great and was offered Faceless Manipulator, Flamestrike, and Natalie Seline (not Mass Dispel).
My only guess why Zephrys the Great did not offer lethal is because he may not have recognized the improved stats from The Caverns Below. Is this intended?

Anyone know how costs are affected if the spell is cast by Archmage Vargoth?

Crossing my fingers for a card that reads, "When a rush minion dies, return it to your hand." to complete the ETC OTK combo requirements.
