badhank14 posted a message on Blizzard just cant resist the infinite value decks?Posted in: Standard FormatSlow control decks will always lose to infinite value decks. You will eventually run out of tools to remove all the threats. I may not like this aspect of the game either, but there are 'fair' versions on doing this and unfair ways.
Dead Man's Hand in warrior, I felt was fair because it forced you to shuffle cards back in that you may NOT want to redraw. It also meant that you had to get both Dead Man's Hand in hand and then relevant cards to shuffle back in. Some players also tried to use this to shuffle back in combo pieces back INTO the deck if they drew them for Recruit effects. This was not done to go infinite, but to fix the combo or get value out of recruit cards.
Jade Idol specifically is a card I feel is the unfair way of doing infinite. It requires no forethought, no planning and no punishment for playing it whenever you want. They had to create a card just to counter this card, that's how powerful and annoying it was against control decks. Worse yet, if you had the legendary out, you got both choose effects from the Jade Idol, which made it even more annoying to deal with. Many control decks in Wild still play the 6 drop because there are alot of 1 cost spells in Wild that are good to get rid of.
While I may agree that certain types of infinite seem unfair, you have to ask yourself, what type of deck am I playing and how can I put a card in my deck that can counter that? Since I don't know what decks you play, it's hard to give advice.
But if you are playing aggro or combo, going infinite shouldn't bother you at all. Only playing slow control decks should.

jgabing posted a message on Entire Card Back SetPosted in: General DiscussionNOTE: DUE TO HEARTHPWN SHUTTING DOWN SOON, I HAVE MOVED THIS POST TO OUTOFCARDS WEBSITE HERE: https://outof.cards/forums/hearthstone/hearthstone-general/468-entire-card-back-set I WILL CONTINUE TO UPDATE THIS POST OVER ONTO THAT WEBSITE. I WILL NO LONGER UPDATE THIS POST HERE DUE TO THE HEARTHPWN SHUTTDOWN COMING SOON.
I don't know why HearthPwn haven't been updating their Card Back Galley page.
But if anyone is interested in seeing the "ENTIRE CARD BACK SET" and how to get them, I have a personal collection that everyone can look at, on GoogleDrive, at the following link...
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zyiCo83uYzkPA8m6qGQfhFBXLyzGKieN_35HC-zxUDo
Some are not as rendered as good as HearthPwn does it but the whole card back collection is there, I keep this link up to date.
Entire Card Back Set - Last Updated: June 3rd, 2019
Currently there are 118 card backs ever revealed. The document has a blue number on top of each card back representing the order of when the card back was announced (not the order it was added to the game), then card back image, then name of the card back, then how to get the card back, then the card back flavor text and then lastly if the card back can still be obtainable or not.
Also send an in-game friend request if you like too, my battle tag ID will show up on top. I'm a big card back collector but I'm also a casual player so I do not have every card back because I get stuck at curtain game modes or has never been to any official Blizzard esport events.
NOTE: My post may also be found on HearthPwn's Card Back Gallery Guide by clicking here... https://www.hearthpwn.com/guides/592-the-card-backs-of-hearthstone#c412

ElSabidon posted a message on How to stop Netdecking forever. *Share*Posted in: General DiscussionI have made a Murloc Control Shaman deck on my own. As it stands, it uses over 20 cards used by other Control Shaman decks, with the added bonus of using the 2/3 Murloc to generate a ton of murlocs with the Echo Murloc and spells with Hagatha. By your definition, my deck is a plagiarized copy of other control Shaman decks. By your definition, my deck also palgiarized other people who had the idea of using the 2/3 Murloc in a Control Shaman shell.
My deck came to be out of my trial and error. Yet, i'm a criminal for my ideas (quite literally, plagiarism is punishable by law).

Kaladin posted a message on What would it take to stop Hearthpwn shutting down? It's answered on the main page. https://www.hearthpwn.com/news/1-the-hearthpwn-tavern-is-closing-its-doorsPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from Feyd_Ruin The answer to the inevitable question of why is complex, but deserves a response. Our owners have expanded on to other projects, launching such epic endeavors as D&D Beyond. As these have taken off, the development team has shifted focus and simply does not have the time and resources for us that we require. They can simply no longer justify the development, infrastructure, and maintenance costs of the site compared to their other projects. -

Innkeeper will continue to work, but won't be updated anymore.
As for the whole how much a deck will cost, you can do the same with other deck trackers such as HSreplay, but I think you have to have premium to make it work. I don't really know what would be the best alternative for it but I hope Flux and the other people running that site add in a feature for the collection.

Vereesa Windrunner is honestly good even without Jepetto, in fact, I think she's not that great in the typical malygos hunter just because assuming you run 4 minions, vereesa, jepetto, Malygos, and Alexstraza, you have a chance to just not draw malygos with the discount which is really important. Jepetto is also the type of card where if you draw unlucky with it, you just lose.
If you do want a use for your Vereesa, she fits well in secret and spell hunters as it gives you a ton of burst with things like Rapid Fire, Kill Command, Bomb Toss, etc.

Wouldn't say useless, but it will no longer be updated.

So I've been thinking about what to really right here since I've used this site on and off for 4 years and so it means a lot to me. Some of my favorite memories is constantly refreshing the homepage whenever a card was about to be released in WotOG, the time when Hearthpwn started to fall apart completely, and the support I've gotten on my shitty decks I upload occasionally. This is the big reason why I like this site so much and some of the interactions I've had with the community have made my day.
So many people have made this site for me and from the bottom of my heart, I'm grateful for them. Thanks for the wonderful time, everybody, I'll hopefully see you all either on the discord or on out of cards.

Beast Hunter already is a really strong deck due to how well it goes against Control Warrior and has good matchups pretty much across the board. As for other hunter decks, as you mentioned both Mech and Secret hunter are also good and there's also a lot more spell-focused hunters having success too and so I think buffing the class, especially with a lot of cards that are currently seeing a lot of play is a bit over-the-top.
Ignoring that stuff and just looking at the buffs you suggested, a lot of them either just seems mostly worthless (such as the Spirit of the Lynx and the Dire Frenzy ones) or incredibly busted, such as Zul'jin being 7 and Hunting Party being potentially one of the largest mana cheating cards in the game.

Good call. Going to go all the way and call it 5N1P-5N4P 07K just to make it a pain in the ass to read.

As good as 1 Mana draw 2 is, I feel that odd paladin would much rather play a minion turn 1 just because the deck is so reliant on just beating the everloving shit out of people before they are able to react.

Honestly, as much as I am glad Blizzard is buffing some cards, most of these changes do not feel very impactful. Beryllium Nullifier and Security Rover might be a bit impactful just because they are warrior mechs, but aside from those, a lot of these changes just feel underwhelming. There's a reason why people don't run Cloning Device, and it isn't because it was too expensive and more just the effect is bad. Same thing goes for Flark's Boom-Zooka, Violet Haze, and Necromechanic.
That being said, a couple of the changes I would say are really good. Pogo-Hopper going down to 1 mana means it is significantly easier to play it on one followed by a Lab Recruiter or on turn 2 coining a bunny and lab recruiter and so the deck becomes a lot more easy to manage in the early game without losing too much tempo. Another buff I think is really good is the one to Thunderhead 4 mana 3/6 is already something I would consider to pass the vanilla test but the card also has a really strong ability against aggro decks. Now that it can be played on curve and most likely survive to the next one, I think it has a chance of being really strong. The final buff I think is really good is the one to Crystology. 1 mana draw two is incredibly good, even if the two cards drawn are 1 attack minions. The only card I'm a bit concerned about is just Unexpected Results because it feels like it lends itself to highrolling a lot more now, such as turn 2 Khadgar followed by turn 3 Unexpected Results.

If I remember correctly, Kingsbane pirate rogue is one of the best decks in wild and one of the biggest reasons is Raiding Party and in how it can be prepped out along with Tinker's Sharpsword Oil. Sure the nerf is annoying and all for people who liked to play around with the card, but the nerf is perfectly fine in my opinion.
4
I think these are all pretty fair nerfs. I'd be lying if I were to say I'm happy about the Preparation nerf since I still love janky rogue decks (the ones that rely heavily on Preparationto function) but it still is playable. Most the playable rogue spells are 2 mana or less, with one of the only exceptions being Myra's Unstable Element, which does not change the whole prep, myra, Chef Nomi line of play.
I never got the chance to play around with Evil Miscreant and Raiding Party so not sure if the nerfs make it unplayable or not, but the Archivist Elysiana is a great nerf in my opinion. Shaman does have some control tools but lacks the sheer amount of removal that warriors do and so even though Shamans can regularly play several Elysiana triggers, it will not make it immediately better than its warrior counterpart.
