posted a message on High rank in a nutshell

Everyone around here is so quick to dismiss legit points/complaints regarding the game.  On the official forums too.  It's fucking gross.

Do you guys really want to see the same cards and decks every single game?  Even amongst different classes the same neutral cards are almost always used.  It's fucking boring.  The game needs variety.  Blizzard needs to stop pseudo-nerfing strong cards like Argent Commander and start buffing other cards.  Half of the neutral 6 drops in the game are worthless as hell - why not start there.

I have my own version but I'd like to see what Legendary players are doing differently in theirs.  Is there a "standard" cookie cutter version of this deck floating around?

I doubt that I am wrong.

It shouldn't count as a combo and a spell card.

It should just give 1 mana.

Most pro's will tell you two things:

    A. most matchups they don't care if they go first or 2nd as it's not much of a difference
    B. the matchups that don't fit in to "most" aka mirror matchups or matchups against really aggresive decks (warlock murloc for example) they prefer to go FIRST, not second.

posted a message on Druid is my favorite class because it lets you play around with all (most anyways) of your legendaries

At least the good one's that is.. crappy legendaries will be crappy regardless.

But what other class can you fit like 5 or 6 legendaries in and still be really competitive?

Be my guest! I always want to start a discussion, discussions are good. Hopefully you re-evaluated your stance on Far Sight since our last discourse, your pick for the worst card in the game?

You can cherry pick situations all you want but when it comes down to it staring you in the face on an empty board, you either ping it or throw a creature out to trade with it. You can boil it down to your usage of buffs in my personal opinion. Novice is better in a variety of situations but Loot Hoarder is never completely useless aside from the occasional direct counterplay like Shadow Madness and silences (which is pretty questionable). Later game, Novice acts as a buffer for your other cards and that is incredibly strong, but early game, she does have trouble trading into that 2 health mark without buffs and will most likely never trade into 3 health creatures so she often gets ignored for the majority of the time she's played. Her biggest advantage comes from relying on an early game buff where she may survive to trade into 2/2, but what I'm saying is with Loot Hoarder, you don't have to.

There was another thread somewhere in the past where Artosis heavily leaned towards Novice Engineer, but that was a different time for this game.

And in the first turns there's really no benefit to getting a card immediately anyways.. unless we are talking about rogues.

ya if they waste earth shock on a loot hoarder that puts a smile on my face especially as a druid when they have so many other things to silence

The murloc meta got me thinking about Hungry Crab.

Do you guys think it has any use in ranked mode?  I think maybe not because if you aren't playing a murloc deck it probably sucks but let me ask this question.. if you are in a tourney and you know they are running a murloc deck.. do you run 2 hungry crabs?

Who do you guys think wins in this matchup?

Early game I think Loot Hoarder wins.  With the 2 attack it's a threat on the board that might alter your opponent's plans.. he may not want to drop his Faerie Dragon anymore because you will get great value out of it.  On the flip side if he doesn't have anything to drop in the first place, many classes can simply take it out with their hero ability.

Mid game I think the novice engineer wins simply because it's not much of a threat, often times I see my novice I placed on turn 2 live until 3 or 4 when it can get buffed but Sun Cleric/Dark Iron/etc where it can make favorable trades.  Loot hoarder almost always dies immediately

Late game I think the novice engineer wins again, it lets you draw and cycle out of a card for 2 mana... If you are drawing for something and are at 10 mana you will most likely still be able to cast it if you draw in to it.  Loot Hoarder being draw a card after death makes it fairly useless at this stage of the game

So overall I think novice engineer is better if you are playing a slower deck and loot hoarder may be better for aggro since it can trade favorable early.  Do you guys agree/disagree?

posted a message on How about a Paladin Giants deck???

Just trying to bring some new ideas to the table.

This is the decklist I came up with.

    Paladin Giant
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (15) Ability (13) Weapon (2)
    Loading Collection

The reason why I chose Paladin in the first place is because I love the synergy with Wild Pyro and Equality (or conc).  Basically it's about taking damage, then clearing the board and dropping your giants + healing up.   Use Alexstraza + Giants or Avenging Wraths to finish off the opponent.

There's ridiculous amounts of ways to cycle through your cards.  Also if you're searching for your giants Holy Wrath can be a big lol.

Anyways I'm sure the deck and idea can be improved upon a lot, any suggestions?

Are Warlock's the new meta again?  tried this deck for fun (with some changes of my own).. I played 9 matches.. 5! of them were against warlocks lol.  Went 7-2.  Lost to one warlock and one paladin.  Beat 2 shamans quite easily a paladin and 4 warlocks.

Went from rank 13 to 11 pretty fast. I'm not sure how strong I feel this deck is.. my 2 losses proved if you don't get great starting hands you might as well just concede.. and i feel like all my wins I maybe got lucky to get great starting hands

I can't ever seem to find a use for this card..

Using it on turn 5 to get to 8-10 mana earlier doesn't seem worth it and if you don't get one until turn 8+ it's 5 mana to draw 3 cards which won't really help you unless the game is dead even or something.  What do you guys think?  I see a lot of decks with 2 of them, I don't get it..

No starfall, leaving only Swipe and Wrath for buff targets and i figure the 2/1 on loot hoarder is more usefull against rush decks. The deck is made mainly to beat mage and I only lost one time to aggro mage with a double mana wyrm opener and me with no claw, wrath, swipe, innervate. I also don't have thalnos right now but loot is better against rush decks in this version. The deck is ok vs. everything but the mirror as this version is less gready. No azure drakes, ysera, starfall, thalnos, hogger, wild growth etc..

True.  I think 1 starfall is necessary too though.  I adjusted your deck a little bit, put in 1 starfall and thalnos and removed 1 loot hoarder and 1 farseer.  I think maybe you could drop 1 ancient of lore too.. i don't think i've ever been in a game where I could drop 2 of those things in 1 match

Hey kdoggy any reason you aren't using Thalnos instead of a loot hoarder or farseer
