    Quote from EpicAD >>

It can happen to anyone as long as you have the same win/lose ratio during your arena run.

I have recently done the  same with my friend when we were both at 10:2. We started the search for opponent at the same time and got matched together.

He got better rewards for 10 wins than I got for 12...

I thought for sure Blizz would do some kind of prevention against that so you cannot abuse or cheat the system.  Imagine both of you at 10:0, you could do that and give each other a win to get to 11:1, and then give one player a guarantee 12:1 for example.

My friend who I matched went ahead and finish 12:1 and got Jaina the dragonhawk from his arena pack, a little jeolous (cause I already got Jaina).  I play slow so I haven't finished mine yet, hope to be able to match him.

posted a message on Play Arena against your friend in friend list

I always thought that it is impossible to play against someone who is already in your friend list until TODAY:

It is so weird, at first when I saw the opponent's nick name and I double check on my friendlist he is online, just in a weird greyed out icon mode where you would normally click to issue challenge or spectatle.  So I thought may be someone with the same nickname with different ID at the end so I continued playing until the end.

After the match I checked the ID through HDT and it is the same ID.  After his run, we chat and he then realized too that we were already friend.

Has it happened before to anyone? I searched but it seems like no one encountered this before.

"Dad Legend"? "Dad Infinite"? LOL, such silly terms... XD Just play the game if you like it, dude, instead of worrying about absurd titles. :P

Ha ha, no worry man, just thinking it's kinda fun to ask.

    Quote from Sinti >>

I agree that these terms r silly, but if i was to give my definition of "dad infinite arena player", its "have enough gold to play arena whenever you like", true infinite is "have enough gold to play arena 24/7". Meaning that you dont have to have the actual 7+ avg overall cause you wont be playing arena all the time, but can sub the lower average with gold from quests and 3-win-gold.

Fair enough.  It's like 3 wins average :D

Dad legend means no time to grind more than r5 because I have children.

There is no grind in arena hence it doesn’t make sense.

You makes sense there.  May be looks at it another way, you could have 7 average if you could have played more arenas, gain more skill, and more games to average out.

Conceding 3 times at 0 wins because you have no time and the ticket is free

Ha ha, this will only happen a few times a year.

    Quote from Banur >>

Dad infinite is paying for arena because you have a job, wife and kids - which is also the reason you can’t put effort into the game.

That's definitely infinite as long as the pocket can provide.

posted a message on Bad draft after a good run

Does that usually happen to you?

After I had a great run, next I was offered to draft as Mage.  Seeing as mage raised up after the recent Arena nerf and seeing my opponents blasting me with multiple Flamestrike, Blastwaves, and Meteor too, I had high hope and look at this:

    https://www.heartharena.com/arena-run/l4qf55

A low score of 66.9.  Tell me if you would have drafted differently.  How many wins you think I can get out of this?

So there is a Dad Legend, which I learned recently, which is to reach rank 5 ladder as a dad.  So I was wondering if there is a Dad Infinite for Arena?

So true infinite is 7 wins+ average, what would be dad infinite? 5+ wins average?

posted a message on So I’ve been crafting gold legendaries lately...

    I like your senses,

If I have a lot of dust I will do something like you for sure.  Since I don't, I can't craft golden one atm.

I do like those cards in gold whenever I got them from packs, I opened Malygos  Onyxia definitely a highlight.  I also have one of the most used cards Devilsaur Egg in gold so it feels very satisfying when slabbing the egg down the board.

Well, next season you don't need to get to 15 if you get to 10. So maybe as a time investment to save you time next season.

Well, not quite, the time to grind from r15 to r10 now will be longer than the time grinding from r19 to r15 next season for sure, so I rather start from r19 next season if my goal is always r15.

posted a message on Nozdormu dust?

I keep him from 2 years ago, not once actually putting him in a deck, but I played him in arena every now and then, kinda fun to see your opponent scrambling to deal with it.  Almost like a soft taunt.

I like to keep every cards in general for collecting purpose, so I keep him.

The only purpose to grind at all is only the reward. If you're happy even at rank 20, the choice is yours. As a wild legend player, I can suggest to climb if you would be interested to play against better players, who make less mistakes and play more serious decks.

I grind for reward and I feel reward rank 15 is good, much better than rank 20 because of the Golden Rare, so I'm quite happy at rank 15.  I don't think I'm interested in playing against better players, that is not rewarding enough yet for me.

    Quote from scr26x >>

    Play only for fun.

Only grind if you think its fun.

Grinding is definitely not fun, I don't like the feeling of gaining then losing, the feeling of after 1 hour of playing for example you back to where you were 1 hour earlier is bad.

    Quote from Whodatninja >>

If you haven't reached rank 10 and you're still learning and improving, then it might be worth it.

If rank 10 is a stepping stone and you're planning to get to rank 5 at some point in the future, it's most likely worth it.

If you're doing it only for the reward, it's probably not worth it.

I reached rank 10 like 1 year ago with zoolock.  I definitely can reach rank 10 every season, I only wonder about the time investment for grind.  I do like to reach 5 one day but looking at the amount of time ppl telling me to reach rank 5 scare me, and if I can only play like 4 games a day, will I ever be able to get there in time.

    Quote from Malygoddd >>

Is there any reason for anything? No. Just do what you want and you’ll be happy.

Well, I don't know if I will be happy, may be there is a hidden reason that might make me happy achieving rank 10, that's why I'm asking for my peers here.

    Quote from Doomer_22 >>

It depends on the way you collect cards and the size of your collection. For me personally, the rank 11 reward is better than the rank 10 rewards, as I don't dust my golden cards. This means that when I get a golden common I don't have 2 off yet, I disenchant the regular copy and end up with 5 dust. However, on rank 11 you would get 20 dust guaranteed.

In general I would say that you grind as far as you can, if you enjoy it of course. Every rank you gain is another 5 dust added to your reward, and you start another rank higher up in the next season

Nice, first time I hear about this way of collecting cards that make you think r11 is better than r10.  I collect golden cards regardless and it is quite rare to have 3 golden copies of the same one so I'm cool with reaching r10 in that regard.

I'm not enjoying grinding, 5 dust for one rank I think is so little for the time investing.

    Quote from Gilbie >>

Don't forget you can't lose stars at rank 10. I climbed to rank 5 for the first time this month. I like the fact I play against higher lvl-players.

yeah I know r10 can't lose stars, I only concern about the time it takes to get to r10 and whether the golden common reward extra worth it.

is playing higher lvl players really worth it?  I mean do you learn a lot? is the learning offset the losing tilt from losing to them?

I know rank 5 is the best reward in term of time and value wise.  But since I don't have the time to grind up there I can only get the reward of rank 10 the most.

Thing is the reward between rank 15 and rank 10 is only 1 golden common more, is that worth it to grind up there?

posted a message on When is the right Time to craft a RARE or COMMON?

Suppose you really like that RARE or COMMON for your deck.  But everybody's been telling me never to waste dust on crafting RARE and COMMON since I will get them sooner or later.

That is true for Classic Sets, but how about the current running sets? For F2P as I polled earlier this month, ppl seems to be opening between 60 - 80 packs during the Standard lifetime of the set.  So:

    - Do you craft them after you have opened the max like 80 packs?

    - Do you craft them after certain point like 40 packs, 60 packs, (the rest of the packs you earn later on, for example through Arena, is too long the wait) ?

    - Not gonna even craft them at all, saving dust for Epic and Legendary only?
