JackScale posted a message on Why people keep playing meta decks in casual?Posted in: Standard FormatAlmost every time you see a meta deck in casual it's for a reason. Either because the player can't commit to a full game and might quit in middle, or because of quests, or because they are testing out the deck to see how well it performs, or because there are different variations of decks and ppl want to see which ones work best. Like even if you see a player playing what seems like a standard pirate warrior deck he can be testing out the list with bittertide hydras and wants to see if it's better than the leeroy version etc. I just know for myself that anytime I'm playing casual it's for a reason, either because I don't have the time to commit or because I'm not in the mood of the stress of ladder and just for trying out fun decks.

hebbe84 posted a message on Suggestion: fast paced modePosted in: General DiscussionThe games I play vs people that are inordinately slow are so few and far between that it's a complete non-issue to me. I like having the time to think through my turns when I need it, and I don't mind my opponents doing the same.

sparkisUS posted a message on Suggestion: fast paced modePosted in: General DiscussionYou can do that right now. All you need to do is get some friends to play with and play with a speed rule. No need to inflict this silliness on the rest of us.

For anyone just doing this encounter in late 2018 or 2019, I made a few alterations/updates that allowed a first attempt kill. May be worth a try if the other one doesn't work for you. Mine is much less forgiving of your own hp, but as long as you survive with a few hp when you stabilize, you're golden anyway. I'd suggest swapping the Homonculii out for 2 of those new 2mana 2/4 gnome taunts from the Rasta xpac. I would have if I gave it a bit more thought, but it worked anyway.

Just in case anyone decides to finally get around to this in 2018 or 2019, here's the list I used. It should work way better, although it could still be improved. I tossed this together and it was a joke, but I realize Shaw is probably worse than rhino, and if you have that dude who spawns a 5/5 as his battlecry obv use him (i dusted mine :x ).

You think double Rhino is better than 1 Shaw 1 Rhino? Or is this a "budget" deck? I'm just looking to make the best aggro/beast hunter deck possible atm... Rexxar also confuses me a bit.
I'm going to try your exact version out first, but the changes I have in mind are -1 Rhino -1 Rexxar -1 Baited Arrow +1 Shaw +1 Highmane +1 Leeroy.

Oh, I don't take credit for the list. I got it off hsreplay by sniffing around for high WR decklists. I should update my post to say that. I just like to list the decks that do well for me on here, even if it's something someone else built. I have no clue who originally tuned this list or I would thank them. I am glad you are doing well with it, though.
As for your success with the deck, I'm not surprised. It just seems incredibly good, and not only "in the current meta". It seems to be able to beat just about any archetype. I played 4 more games with it today and won every game, with 3 of them feeling like complete free wins. The 4th was one of only types of games that can get hairy, which for me are games vs Zoo (or zoo-type aggro - odd paladin is easier since basically everything has 1hp prior to buffing) where you not only don't get much removal within the first few turns but when your Hemet is also way towards the bottom of the deck. I started a brawl with the deck and my first game was vs a legend zoo player with a fairly early Keleseth. I still ended up winning but it was a little scary. EDIT: Here's my 2nd game of that same brawl. Again vs a legend player (legend cardback) but this time playing Quest Rogue. Rogue usually gives Priest a hard time, but this game just showcases how insanely easy many of the games with this deck are vs slower decks. Notice my back to back Psychic Scream turns with nothing on board, lol.

So...you took out the Dirty Rat's (which can be complete blowouts vs lock/priest/mage) for 2 Plated Beatles? Why?
EDIT: Not to mention they're low cost taunts...

Is this the best we can do with the control warrior archetype? :*(
Nothing much against the deck....maybe it IS the best we can come up with. But these are sad times for the control warrior.
(Yes, I know it's "taunt warrior" but it's as close as we can get right now)

I really don't get this deck.... I spent 50 bucks to get the 4k dust i needed to complete this deck (and I wanted to try Aviana/Kun anyway) after hearing about this new amazing sea witch nonsense..... But it doesn't really do anything amazing til turn 10. Tons of decks can do crazy shite on turn 10ish. Honestly, I like the version without the giants but with Malygos and face dmg (moonfire, etc) better. The OTK ver.
Unless you can explain exactly how these Sea Witches are so OP? I mean, the effect isn't permanent...
