Sorry i don't have the link, but about a month ago Reynad on stream took about an hour to explain Blizzard's matchmaking, and although i'm sure it's speculation, he's gathered a mountain of data and was basically predicting his match-ups that entire hour with no deviations. Based on my own experiences it seems to line up. Basically it was this:
1) Every deck you build has independent win/loss data saved by blizzard as you play it (it also looks for identical decks and adds your data to that).
2) When it encounters a deck it is unfamiliar with (say you swap in a rando card) it will take 5 games or 3 wins in a row or 3 losses in a row (whichever comes first) before it starts to stack matches in a certain way against you (see next point)
3) For sure blizzard ramps difficultly both as you rank and as you get win streaks. If you win 3 games in a row, it will start throwing decks at you that are statistically likely to beat you. When you lose 3 in a row, it then reverts to just random deck RNG (no attempt to make it easy - just not stacked)
4) This effect is much more noticeable at ranks up till about 3-4 as at that point the diversity of decks goes way down.
Basically this is why when you load up a new deck, suddenly you are playing against a new meta (because you are).
So what can you learn from this? I have had WAY more success building 4-5 versions of the same deck with minor card variations (like a random Spellbreaker in one, a Frost Elemental in the other) and as soon as I hit a win streak switching to another deck. Has taken me basically from rank 20 to rank 5 in a couple of days (i only get a couple hours a day to play).
TLDR: yup, matchmaking is rigged and you can use that to your benefit. Don't believe me try it.

I agree, I think you save more time by conceding early in bad situations (or even bad matchups) than you do by sticking it out to see if yuou can get one of your unlikely wins. Sure, you probably miss a few surprise victories that way, but I've found that in the time I waste trying to win unwinnable games, I could be winning 2-3 games against other opponents. So, I tend to quit as soon as my opponent has a lead on the board that I don't think I can overcome.

Didn't care for it. It didn't make me angry like the banana one, but it just wasn't different enough from normal play to be interesting, IMO. I thought it was one of the more boring brawls they've had.

Thought this brawl had potential to be interesting, but after getting my pack in all three regions, I think I'm done with it. I just didn't think it was very fun, as compared to the portal brawl where I got 10+ wins in each region. The element of magic was just missing from this one - no 'whoa!' moments, just boring, lengthier than usual games.

A bit disappointed in this deck, tbh. Trying to move up through the lower ranks (15-20), and figured this would be a breeze...but seem to be stuck bouncing between ranks 16-17. Just lost my last two games to shamans - one with healing wave (won the joust too, naturally), and one with taunted & reincarnated nerubian eggs. I do beat most opposing aggro decks, though I just lost a close game to a warlock (zoo variant?) who had 2 defenders of argus to save him.
The deck's ok, but I'm not seeing anywhere near the high winrates you describe. I think I'm around 50% only.

I don't think they're bugged. It's just that there are no minions in either deck, just spells. So, you can never win a joust.

Same for me. Won a bunch last night, logged in to play a quick few games this morning, lost all 6 games I played. Good times.

Neither. I'm ok with the status quo.

I'm sick of seeing Boom in nearly every single match I play at rank 16 or higher, especially since I don't have him myself. He badly needs to be nerfed. I'd propose changing his boombots so that they can randomly hit any character (including Boom, other friendly minions, or his owner) when they explode. That'd mesh well with the warning about their volatility.
Really wish Blizzard wasn't so slow and conservative about every little thing they do. Expansions are great and all, but I feel this game needs more active leadership.

I like this brawl. It's not the best, but it's entertaining more often than not, and good for dailies.
To all the complainers - sucks to be you. My taste wins this week. :-) Feel free to show your whiny selves to the door.

Not everyone did, actually. I liked it, and so did (gasp!) many others. Too bad for you.
This is actually the brawl I wanted last week, so we could play with all the new cards ahead of time. Better a week late than never, though. I still don't have most new cards, so this should be entertaining.
