posted a message on Card Nerf - Giggling Inventor

That change was totally undeserved. Giggling Inventor is a defensive card good almost only in control decks. Against fast decks you need to protect yourself in the first few turns or they slaughter you, which is why at 5 mana it was just right. At 6 mana it would still have been playable, however, 7 is way out of line.

In fast decks the card is good only, when facing other fast decks, because it solidifies your board state. If you are facing a control deck, however, it will not care if you have some annoying trash on the board, because it will have a plethora of board clears, usually, to deal with a wide board and covering your minions with Giggling Inventor does almost nothing.

The main problem with this card is, when used in a deck like Quest Rogue. You cannot deal with Giggling Inventor, when buffed by the quest, but in that deck the main problem is and always will be the quest itself. If, for example, the quest did not buff summoned minions, but only played ones it would not have been as bad.

If Blizzard wanted to they could have even banned the card from being used in a deck with the rogue quest in it, but instead they went and nerfed Giggling Inventor to oblivion, lowering the survivability of control decks by a huge margin. I am immensely disappointed.

Every deck has its good and bad days. In the current meta combo druid decks are popular and so people use tech cards to disrupt any combo deck, such as this one. Not to mention this type of deck is weak to aggro decks.

Either you get lucky and do not face control decks with anti-combo cards, such as Dirty Rat, and aggro decks or you should not expect good results from this deck. When the meta changes in a way to become more suitable for Exodia Mage to be played, things will be different.

I want to play Control Warlock, but am not sure how Demonic Project interacts if there is no minion in my hand. Will it transform the minion in my opponent's hand or does nothing happen?

I was thinking whether Mal'Ganis is better, however, adding him means you will have less chance to drop Voidlord against fast decks, which is your primary target. The buff is relevant only in the slower matchups and is pretty redundant in most cases.

What I mean is, Voidwalkers are enough to block and trade with the enemy's board on their own against fast decks. In slow matchups getting them buffed will not do much. They will either get removed with a board clear or Mal'ganis will be removed, making them harmless again.

Unless you create a situation against a slow deck, where there are multiple Mal'Ganis on the board, he does not do enough in those matchups. Against fast decks he is not what you are looking to pull off your deck.

I find Baron Rivendare to be always useful. Against fast decks you can drop Mistress of Mixtures and Plated Beetle and double the health gain with a Baron Rivendare follow up. In slow matchups you can do more with your plays.

Spiritsinger Umbra triggers after you play a minion, which means more mana, making it a late game option only. In contrast, Baron Rivendare not only has a similar effect in the late game, but offers help early on as well against the fast decks with Mistress of Mixtures and Plated Beetle.

Having a before and after trigger on a similar effect, which has great synergy in this deck, appeals more to me compared to Mal'Ganis. That is my reasoning for choosing Baron Rivendare. It is a personal choice of mine in the end.

The reason why I am deciding between the two legendaries is, because I do not see a possibility of removing any other card for Mal'Ganis. All of them are just too important to sacrifice a copy. Also, if the deck plays Spiritsinger Umbra there is no reason to not play Baron Rivendare, given their effects.

With N'Zoth the Corruptor and Plated Beetle replacing the Mountain Giant style of play, the deck is more of a hybrid between Cube and Control Warlock so I feel like the extra effect of Baron Rivendare is more valuable overall.

It worked!!! To think the problem was just that the calculations were turned off. Thanks for the help! I'm glad things are finally back to normal :)

Didn't work. I synced the collection, but the problem remains. When I go to HearthPwn and see my collection everything is just as what I have in-game, but when I go to a deck of mine to check what cards I don't have the red dust bottles have question marks next to them and asks me to get Innkeeper. The cards I don't have remain as if I own them.

I can't understand how can my collection be synced properly and not track the red dust bottles at the same time.

I hadn't thought about the different account being the problem so I checked that and it turns out I really was logged into another account. I do feel like an idiot for that, but even though I logged into the correct account afterwards something even more weird than the previous issue happened.

After doing a sync on the correct account the same problem remains. Now, however, it says "Verified by Innkeeper" on my collection and nothing else has changed.

On the images shown below you can see that after the collection was "verified" and displays that I don't own Edwin Vancleef, when I go to my rogue deck it shows that I own the card. I can't imagine what the cause of that might be.

If only there was an option to reset the collection manually and sync it afterwards. Could the problem be that I manually added every card in the game, as I mentioned in my 3rd post, and it is causing problems with syncing? I can't think of anything else.

Here is the log file if that can help. http://txt.do/ddebs

posted a message on Innkeeper Sync not working.

I have uploaded an image of the file's contents. Before the upload I synced my collection once more, but it remains unsynced.

Since there were no changes to the collection after a sync has been made, I manually added every card in the game as if I already own them. This was done by the time of my first post here.

After making the sync and uploading the image I saw that my collection remains unchanged yet again and it still shows that I own all the cards in the game. This means that the sync failed, since it should have refreshed the collection and shown what cards I do/don't own.

Yes, unfortunately. Every time I sync my collection it doesn't do anything. No cards are synced at all, despite that Innkeeper says my collection has been synced successfully.

The only reason I can think of for that to be happening is if my defrag software (IObit Smart Defrag) is somehow causing the program to not work correctly after extended period of using it. If I reinstall my OS it will fix the issue for sure, but I can't be sure that is the cause of the problem. I doubt it is Innkeeper's fault.

When I update my collection with Innkeeper it says "Your collection is up to date", but in reality when I open one of my decks on HearthPwn it still displays the cards as missing even though when I open the collection on HearthPwn they are present. See the attached images as an example.

No matter how many times I sync it the result is the same. Any ideas how to fix this?
