Yeah, Herald Volazj is often locked in hand, but he has won games once in a while, though often he is just played as removal bait or tempo. The idea is a lategame turn with a cheap (free) arcane giant along with the herald, and silencing the token back to 8/8. He has also created insane tempo swings if the opponent left up a priest of the feast or an auctioneer. The deck originated from a purify experiment, but I added silence instead, to have the curved Barnes/Herald as an option.
I used to run a single Entomb, and I should probably find a way to fit it back in, to deal with key cards like Tirion, Sylvanas and C'Thun.
Btw I considered many of the usual cards like soulpriest, loot hoarder and pyromancer, but I found them sort of weak when playing resurrect+Barnes. I guess the miracle approach requires innervate or prep to be able to perform really well.

Yogg would be okay if the tournaments didn't take themselves so seriously (as Kripp pointed out).
So many people are trying to justify having this "Fun", completely random card be viable in serious, competitive tournaments. What?
If the tournaments were all about having good times and fun, then Yogg would be awesome! But as it stands right now, they are trying to make Hearthstone seem like a serious E-Sport.. and it's not!

I've been seeing success with my own version lately, reaching rank 11 a few days ago. Don't feel like you have to cram the deck with only murlocs/beasts/dragons. I found that by putting about 7 total minions across those tribes you're highly likely to draw 3 cards from Curator.

I am at Rank 12 and still going strong. It is the middle of the season so I don't get totally swarmed by Aggro Shamnans. I did play two in a row just now and went 1-1 so not too terrible. Then i beat a Midrange Shaman and a Renolock but those two played real bad. lol.
I think the record for this deck is at 9 wins 2 losses.
Murloc Warleader and Bluegill are the Merlons you want trust me. It seems like you wouldn't hit that combo enough for it to be good but it works out more often then would think. You can kind of play slower then you normally would with Hunter as this is a Midrange Decks that leans a little closer to control. I focus on Board Control pretty much every turn.
You win as any good Midrange deck wins. When you hit your synergies your cards on curve are just better then anything they can play on curve.

Hi there. I think Bilefin Tidehunter is much better than a Bluegill Warrior for deck like this and Ysera is too slow. After testing The Curator in Hunter I decide even not to run any murlocs at all. I called this deck "Dragon Hunter", because impact of dragons is bigger than The Curator itself and it works ok, I climb pretty fast to rank 3 with it (and got stuck a little bit), you can check my deck if interested:

Quote from DontFeedtheEmu >>Especially if you do a friend quest. I have an alt F2P account I use to play Wild (I dusted all my Wild cards) that only has cards to make exactly Secret Paladin. When I get that quest there is always a "I am sorry I know this deck is OP and not fun to play against but it is the only deck I can make on this account please don't concede."

Aggro decks are the strongest thing right now and they really need to be nerfed. Shamans and hunters are the biggest offenders. Now you might say Hunter plays "midrange". Yeah no stop lying and protecting it. Its an aggro deck. If the deck can setup a board and kill with burst before turn 5 its aggro end of story. The same problem is with shaman. Now you might say. Well all archetypes need to be viable. This is true and the one archetype that isnt viable right now? Oh yeah thats control! Control decks right now are just so clunky and awkward because we have weak taunts to work with. Heals that eat most of our mana and leave no board presence. Board clears that cost a lot of mana and might not even clear the board. Aggro honestly feels like its suffocating part of the game. I love playing all types of decks combo/control/midrange/tempo. But not aggro because its braindead and gives no choice.
The big issue with aggro is the minions are to effective with abilites and synergies. Also the spells for these classes are way too flexible. 1 mana deal 3 damage? That is insane early game. That kills nearly every 1-3 drop in the game. Plus it allows for a totem golem 3/4 worth of stats. How is that fair to face on turn 3? Its not and there is no coming back from it. Or how about tuskarr totemic that spawns a flametongue or totem golem. You instantly lose right then and there. Thats not fun and the game shouldnt be designed like this. For every strong aggro card there should be a strong removal or taunt card. Or increase the amount of health that every player gets by 20. That way aggro is completely unviable. That would be good too.

I'll be honest... Aggro decks "killed" the game
1. You don't have any fun
2. Die before turn 7
3. The greatest problem, people only care about rank up and nothing more
Things like that made me quit Hearthstone and only enter sometimes to get free packs in Brawls (for me, the only game mode that is playable) and rank up to 20 to get a card back
I'll only return to serious games when Aggro decks be nerfed and Priest a bit buffed

It doesn't matter how good it is against Control if the meta is mainly aggro.
If it was a Control Meta. Jade decks would be God Tier. It is an aggro meta so they are tier 2 at best.
1
Kazakus and Patches are premium.
Jade decks are going to be tier 2 at best.
3
I am split on this.
Jade is weak AF in the current Pirate Warrior aggro meta so obviously it doesn't need a nerf.
Jade Idol decks existing as they do basically make decks like Control Warrior and other straight board clear win fatigue style decks absolutely unplayable. Which is part of why we are doomed to a super aggro Pirate Warrior meta. Once enough ppl play super aggro Jade dies and Control comes back to stop the Aggropocalypse. Then Jade comes back, kills Controls winrate and returns us to the Aggropocalypse that will be the Gadgetzan meta.
Dragon Priest wil prolly still be viable but it's not even super control. Reno Dragon is probably the only Control deck that will be viable when everything settles down, there is still only one viable Control deck as always, and that still probably loses to Jade match-ups.
I agree FUCK JADE. The last thing this game needs is a super hard counter to control decks.
3
Pirate Warrior is smashing the meta. Really, Pirate Warrior IS the meta. Another Aggro meta. Meet the new meta, same as the old meta.
You can counter it with Dragon Priest is put a premium on taunts. Run those 2-mana taunts and the add 3-heath battlecry 3-mana guy.
Dragon Priest is also just really powerful.
Midrange Shaman is still boss AF. I run a Primal Fusion and the 0/7 Spell dmg guy. Two totems it is a 2/9 pretty sweet. The taunts like Spirit Wolves and Thing make it pretty decent against Pirate Warrior. Some run that heal 6 health dood. Prolly because Face is the place right now.
Control Warrior, Tempo Mage, and Zoo are doing poorly right now so that is important to note.
Jade Druid is prolly dead too since Control in general is kind of dead and Jade counters Control. Pirate Warrior is hard to stop with a Reno deck for sure, and Control Warrior loses almost every game to the Jade Decks you do see. So Control is super rest in piece.
I am 8-2 with Midrange Shaman in these Meta since I started tryharding. lol. I lost to a Yogg that drew cards, healed for twelve, made 2/2 death rattles, and cleared my board. lmao balanced. I lost my second game to a mirror match that draw a way better start. So seems real good.

It gets blocked by a lot. lol. It is one hundred percent a just for fun deck. Though, there are a lot of spells. I may try a Yogg and two Arcane Giants somewhere to see if that makes it somewhat competitive. Probably not.

OTK Axe Flinger is a cool little meme deck.
It got a fair amount better this expansion. You used to have to hit both Axe Flingers with Revenge which made this almost impossible to pull off. Now you can just hit one with Don Han'Chow and you have a five health and a ten health flinger for a total of thirty damage.
It still wont be the the easiest thing to pull off, and relies on rng but should make for some solid shits and giggles when it works.
Experiment with Sleep with the Fishes, double brawl, or Fool's Bane until you find a good removal selection. Yogg could also fit nicely in this deck for extra removal.

Priest is going to be strong.

Looking at the cards it looks like the meta in Hearthstone could shift drastically.
We are heading to a game where hardline control could ruthlessly quell any attempt of minions to gather on the board.
Where the multi-species mix of creatures played by the likes of Zoo decks are swept away to make room for the hegemony of white blonde priest minions.
A new state of game where opposing large minions will likely be whisked into the opponents deck for the crime of being the opposition.
...wait what were talking about again?
1
This is second strictly overpowered Hunter card in the release that doesn't really need a deck built around it just has good stats and a good effect. Control is getting a lot more help this expansion though, so hopefully this is just necessary to balance out the most face class against the new wave of real viable control decks the HS community has been dreaming about.
Though it is possible a giant orange racist could step in and destroy all our dreams, cus that happens sometimes now apparently.

Sure I mean thats why Evil Heckler is in almost every deck, I can't argue with that.
I'm just saying maybe people are overhyping this one, you have the same card, in a class that ramps mana, so often you do play it at least one mana earlier anyway. I am not saying isn't a good card it is def good. I will try it, prolly in an old school miracle token Druid for fun, and maybe Token Druid can even be competitive, it currently isn't that great so unless it gets some more help probably not.
Remember that beast Druid hype? Menagerie was way better then this, it takes a lot to make a non competitive deck competitive remember how strong the top tier is that is ceiling it must reach. Also that like POW this is a card that requires you to have minions in a class without a lot of sticky minions.
Also POW is technically still better with Fandral, I don't think that is enough reason run it over this.
I am just saying you might want to curb your enthusiasm a bit this card is very much not nuts, its good but in no way is it nuts.
