    Quote from _Nihenna >>

I've played HS since the beta, so 6 years or so. I have never managed to reach Legend. Does that mean I'm a bad player? It feels like everyone who discusses HS online has managed to reach Legend at least once.

The closest I've been was like rank 2 in the rank system before this revamped one.

HA! no we were just smart enough not to no life the game for a month like the ones that did. If they claim it was ez that's probably when mech mage was running rampant. Good times  lol

what was the lie, being specific is a good way to not getting flamed by blizzdrones

Oof i don't think anyone could of said that better lmao, even I reacted to that IRL. Well played, 10/10 👏 . I'd upvote this to make it a sticky but I don't think there's a dick measuring ranking system in place here yet, haven't logged in here in so long so I might be wrong. This being my first post to view since God knows when, this showed signs of good things coming my way ^_^ reddit was starting to get stale ever since they've been pulling a blizzard and appealing to casuals lol now everyone has to be on their best behavior

    ::edit::

Nvm i'm an idiot, found the upvote, here you go sir

110% agreed with everything said here. I saw you suggested Arcane Keysmith for à travelling healer. I’ll most likely do that. I’ll let you guys know how it went. I’m recording the stats as we speak so I should have a good sample size after a few days

I already sanked in so much of my time back in gvg and blackrock playing it at a hardcore level that not playing it casually on a regular basis afterwards would of seemed like a waste of investment. The irony lol..😂

I played freeze mage in most expansions I was just pointing out that losing ice block really made a dent into it’s viability is all. I’m just theorycrafting here, not criticizing.

1st matchup against rogue and the main idea of freeze mage was very present lol. He seemed confused about what I was doing the whole time and if it wasn’t for leeroy he would of died. I was actually surprised to see him since I think he’s usually not included in the typical decklist. Feels like I could of used an ice barrier on turns 3 and 4ish. It would of saved my ass from the leeroy dmg and ultimately win me the game. I also think having it in the list would potentially make the opponent do mistake plays trying to figure out what it is or stalling a minion for a turn if he thinks it’s mirror entity.

Quick question for ya. If you’ve played previous versions of freeze mage like I did since gvg during it’s rise to fame, you should know that the whole idea was abusing ice block to get uncle tony out and start pumping out fireballs with mainly ice lances. How does this work if those 2 key elements are out of the picture.  Having played that deck archetype as a main deck I still have every piece included in your list and craft kalecgod to see for myself but would love your 2 cents on this

::edit:: - forgot to mention I’m floating in between rank 6 and 10 so i will be taking this with a grain of salt but I’m curious as to what it’s capable of. I remember way back when, at some point I had played so many freeze mage matchups that I could pull a win out of my ass in the worst possible matchup. It was all about Jedi mind tricks and anticipating what your opponent was gonna throw at you. The deck just had every tool in its arsenal so it was up to the player to know how and when to react accordingly.

uh ... i cannot really recommend any of them.

electra is a great card, but not important to really decide matches. zentimo is more memy atm, it seems. houndmaster definitely is a safe craft, because he rocks in any deck that is not a beast hunter deck. he has more impact than electra, if you ask me. no idea how s9 is doing, but s9 is *very* meta dependent, so i don't like the card at all. secret paladin & s9? maybe. flark? yeah, it's great right now, but it used to be trash and it easily can fall out of favor again. would not advise crafting him.

    .....

Electra has turned out to be great. Using her in one of my control decks, I used her tonight to cast visions twice, get rain of toads and blood lust :D cast rain of toads for free and totem up (I already had a totem and electra down)

dude takes out one of my frogs I think, I blocked his oondasta/king kush combo then get lethal next turn with the blood lust.

I don't know how I was living without this card before. She can completely close out games alone based on the combo with visions. I had Krag'wa loaded up and ready to give me stuff back as well rather than go lethal with the blood lust if things had went a different way... also had a hex in hand and removal and magic power totem up etc. had loads of ways to move for ward.

I definitely rate electra pretty high now I've seen the impact she can have on a game, especially a game that was about swing for my opponent if I'd not rolled rain of frogs there. being able to double discount it meant I could also play it as well. Yeah man, use this card if you play shaman.

you won't always be lucky with visions. plus electra plays surely *feel* powerful, but the fact that you need to pay 3 mana extra to double your spell is a hefty price to pay in many occasions (which is rewarded by leaving a 3/3 body behind).  Nonetheless glad for you that you enjoy her :)

    ^^^ What he said ^^^.

When crafting legendarys the general rule of thumb is consistency. The ones that do not follow this guideline usually falls into the getting them from packs of having enough dust lying around and don’t know what to do.

Thx for the input tho, i never gave Electra much thought but I will look into her more closely now that you’ve pointed out some of her strengths

Can you blame him though? Standard Priest as a whole is a joke right now... Out of sheer boredom I went ahead and grinded out the Arthas class portrait and forgot how powerful priest really was a few years ago. Delving back with the old sets, the number of board clears and synergies we had was out of this world. Miss those days

posted a message on Oil Rogue for high legend ladder

Quick question for ya, I've been playing Oil Rogue for about a month and a half now. (On and Off). I was planning on doing some ladder with it tonight so I was a browsing through what's the current flavour atm for it and I just wanted to know ur opinion on Healbot VS 2x Earthern. I think I played Healbot in it when I first started but if my memory is correct it was costing a tad to much in some situations to combo it with something.

Again just wanted to know YOUR thoughts on this. Reason is I haven't modified my Oil Rogue deck in a while because it's current state still hasn't failed on me yet. Also my Version of it is a tad different too.. I am running  2x Violet, 1x Barber (Newly added), No piloted shredders and thee farseers . Im not looking to modify my build to much but I would love some insight on yours VS mine (Even tho it's pretty much "Play how you feel it" type answer.

Its just hobgoblin Pally.  But Day-9 popularized it.  Need to be ready to remove the Hobgoblin immediately, and have your standard aggro counter cards (AoE, taunts, heals).  Oh, and play really aggressively yourself to defeat Divine Favor.

This... This is what usually fucks me over and since I've never actually played against it before,  it bites hard the

Thx for pointing it out tho

posted a message on Been facing a Pally Aggro Deck Recently and I'm stumped

    ***oops wrong section >.<***

I'll try and keep this short and sweet so basically last night I was laddering and everything was going smoothly. I was averaging about 65-70% win rate with variations of Oil rogue, Control Shaman, Control Pally and a newly built ramp druid since I was able to craft Cenarius. Got to rank 10 and started facing this Aggro pally deck over and over and over again. I've never seen it before but it's nothing out of the ordinary. Basically it has all the 1 drops for extreme aggro (Abusive, Hobgoblin, Wisps, Leper Gnomes, etc etc) but I couldn't for the life of me defeat it. I litteraly spent my whole night tweaking my decks because of it right until I dropped back to 13 where I was facing ur typical mech mages and mid range hunters.

My decks are either 100% complete or close to it (Harisson, Sylvanas, Boom, KT, Neptulon, Alakir, etc) So I'm wondering if I'm the only one that has been facing these pally decks and if you did, how did you deal with it.

If you need more information on my behalf I'll be glad to supply them but that's the gist of it. In the end, I went to bed to hopefully get a clearer mind on this.
