    i truely have no idea how to deal with secret mage. How do you beat the tempo? Counter spell makes his board invinsible. And he fills a board with 2 4/3’s 2 5/5’s  and usually a mimic of one of my minions, all by turn 5. If I don’t draw my one secret eater in my opening hand I just lose. Not enough secret counters for anyone but hunter.

    I’d love to win 25% of the time with a fun deck but unfortunately it like <10%  with plenty of fun decks when playing against the current meta decks.

    But you could still play those tier one decks in casual for rewards, so that begs to question, if you had a deck that has a 50% win rate why would you want to play that in a mode where you earn no rewards, When you could still play them in a non-ranked mode for rewards. I’d have no problem waiting longer for a que for that kind of mode but I do understand that there still would be people that would play that kinda deck. I know that this isn’t a mode that will happen, I was mostly hoping that I’d have some people that would like a mode where you can legitimately experiment less burdened by the masses of net decking.

    Same decks as ranked in casual squashes the fun. I know that freeze shaman is not a “real” deck, but not being able to play a fun deck cause I get crushed 9/10 games means there is almost no point to printing 50% of cards cause there isn’t any real space in this game  to even try to play them.

    I literally just got done playing 6 matches, 3 secret tempo mage, 2 big priest, Aggro pally. So yeah people play tier 1 net decks in casual but that makes Causal not casual because people are, even though it’s a small sample, frequently playing those decks.  Even though some people do that to get away from ranked or just to upset other players, if they were getting no quest rewards and no gold I think that would drastically decrease the amount of tier 1 deck being played in a “casual”  mode.

    Ive been playing this game for a long time now and often I find myself trying to build kinda wonkier decks to play for fun. No where near a tier 1 deck. But unfortunately casual is just full of people playing tier 1 decks for quests or just cause it’s easier then playing ladder and obviously losing to tier one decks makes playing your “for fun” deck terrible..  I just wish there was a mode where you don’t earn quest rewards or gold for wins so that people can go play for fun, which I feel is lacking in this game.

    The Obvious counter is two eater of secrets in a shaman deck, hope they don’t die, get them back in your hand with legendary so you can still not have enough to cover the 12 secrets they will play this game. Eater of secret totally a plausible counter. (please note the obvious sarcasm)

    Secret tempo mage 7 games in a row. Pretty awesome. Super duper fun. And that deck is all about skill.  Jk boring and really strong decks, just the deck blizzard loves to push to the top.

    they are taking Dk’s out of the arena. But the game isn’t decided by dk’s, it’s all about who has bonemare on turn 6-7-8 or how many you have. Drafted three, 8+wins pretty much automatically cause you can’t draft enough removal. I just lost a game, was ahead in cards, ahead 15 HP and we both had 1 minion on the board. Turn 6 coin Bonemare —> turn 7 bonemare. 100% unwinable, No skill involved.

    Its just unfortunate that as a hunter I can’t clear 3 6mana minions with 10mana worth of spells, never mind on turn 5,6,or 7. I do get that control hunter isn’t a thing and I should be going lethal by that turn is I was playing a competitive deck. But I love the DK power. It so fun.

    Anybody who doesn’t think bonemare is fucking busted needs to go play another game, back to back bonemare turns 6+coin and seven is a loss plain and simple. The “draw back” of needing another minion is not difficult for any class. Because shitting out a 1 cost righteous protector to get a 5/5 divine shield taunt and a 5/5 for 8 mana it absolutely bonkers. Thanks Blizz for fucking another 8 win arena run buy giving me matchups with that’s bullshit. Common cards with legendary effects need to get looked at.

    The fact that it is common in arena means that I frequently see more then one in an arena match. As much as I’d love to “play around it” I can’t realistically keep the board clear every turn from turn 6 on in arena. I also see it in constructed 65% of my games and even though I don’t play tier 1 decks, currently I’m playing a Deathrattle egg hunter, it can be devistating to see bonemare turn 7 and 8.

    it’s pretty common knowledge right now that Bonemare is an absolutely unbalanced, arena wrecking fiesta of a card. How do you all think it will hold up over the next year being that it isn’t going to be rotating away?

    I get that 5 mana is a tempo loss but playing that card turn ten for me ends up looking like this. Cabalist tomb +frost nova then a possible doomsayers if I have it. So even though yeah I lost that 5 mana to generate 3 spells, in the late game situation that’s 3 cards and a clear board or at least a frozen one. I guess my issue is that even though they are random, I rarely see the freezing potion + arcane nova + glacial mysteries. I just think more often then not getting that extra, blizzard, or frost nova, or meteor etc, is worth the other cards not being great. But they CAN be great. like I said the game is balanced around having 2 of any card in your deck, with the amount of spell generation for mage it make “smart plays” almost nonexistent cause you have no idea what the 12 cards he pulled out of thin air are. I’ve seen, rarely, people with 5 copies of cards and I don’t think that’s kosher.

    Side note- I was playing big priest to finish the “play priest cards” quest. I get having Barnes on curve is strong as hell.
