I would say No, to both. Murloc Holmes has Discover - which is barred in the rules - and the second one is just selecting a minion via the Combo.
But the Discover on Murloc is only there to not write ‘look at’ again and make the text small. It’s effectively ‘look at’ and not ‘Discover’, since the card doesn’t get added to your hand. And Chester has radically different applications for whether you target a friendly minion or an enemy minion
edit: the text does not, in fact, get smaller. Changing it now.
This one is an old concept of mine, tweaked with it a bit:
How it works: Basically, you play this, Discover a minion that died this game. If you guess its “killer” correctly (the card that killed it), Case Solved! is cast.
some clarifications:
• The possible “killer” cards can be any card, as long as it has a way of dealing damage and was played/summoned/equipped/cast that game.
• The Discovered minion does NOT get added to your hand, it only serves to show you the “killer” cards.
• If two duplicate minions were killed and you play this, the system counts this as one card with two “killers” for example: If only a Pit Snake and two Coldlight Oracles were killed this game (one Coldlight by Fireball and one by Arcanologist) the first part will NOT show two Coldlights and a Pit Snake but rather only a Pit Snake and a Coldlight. If you pick Coldlight and it shows Fireball, Arcanologist and Frostbolt, picking either Fireball OR Arcanologist will cast you Case Solved.
Well, i think that's same thimg as lifesteal for KoFt or Discover for LoE
Even more, since Discover and Lifesteal are widely used after their expansions. Two cards are not enough to make a mechanic widely used. I think 50% mechanic is the same as Joust, or “if you’re holding a Dragon”. Both of those are fair game in this CDC, so I don’t see why 50% shouldn’t be
Yes it uses only adapt as non-vanilla keyword, but also it uses Ogre mechanic from GvG (50% chance to choose wrong target). That's old, so maybe you didn't know about it or forgot.
Ogre's 50% count as GVG ? I mean sure it started from GVG but it counts as GVG?
Definitely. We’ve never seen that mechanic after GvG’s ogres, so it counts as an expansion-exclusive mechanic
Those who've played WoW probably get the reference. We've all tried being ganked by someone, especially in Stranglethorn Vale (where Rastakhan's Rumble takes place), slowing down our questing and leveling. Ugh, that was so annoying. Found it quite fitting with Overkill. In addition, the effect is very niche, so I think it deserves vanilla stats.
Amazing card. Minor nitpick is that a unique effect such as that should belong to a Legendary
Yeah, why not? I just checked and I don;t see any basic/classic cards with a shuffle effect. The very first time we see this phrase being used is in Malorne's card text (unless I'm forgetting something).
It’s just that I wouldn’t even include “shuffle” as being a Keyword, because it’s such a basic concept of card games that it shouldn’t “belong” to any specific expansion. Could just be me though
I just wanted to say Self-Upgrading Bot is my favorite card so far.
Thanks! About your cards, Jade Eater has awesome flavor, although a little OP IMO. Haunted Dinobot is cool, but it looks just a bunch of random Keywords tied together by an all-including name (wow, that sounds stupid. What I mean is that rather than adding the effects to express the flavor, it sounds like you took a bunch of random effects and tried to force them into one flavor. Does that make sense? You know what, forget it). I definitely like Magnetite Shard most, it’s got a nice flavor and effect. Minor nitpick: shouldn’t have a period after Divine Shield

Also, would this count?

I’ll just post a new one.
On ages past, I was the best
the tavern feared my name.
Now, despite receiving a bigger axe,
I’ve never been more lame.

BTW, you forgot to link to the submission topic in the OP @linkblade91

Jade Architect seems an OP tool to an already strong mechanic. No thanks.
Blood Lord Volrath doesn’t seem very unique to this theme, since Lifesteal is already widely used in WW.
Murder of Raven looks neat, but that name is really weird. I’d change it to “Raven Apparition” or something, and find a more... “ghostly” art
