So Priest run burst due to lack of win cons. What about Handlock? They have various creatures that can win them the game, including two sets of Giants. Why do they run Leeroy?
Because Leeroy is still the finisher, with 20+ damage bust potential being fairly easy
Also handlock is actually more of a midrange deck, and on top of being a finisher it is also used for a Shadowflame combo.
I have seen a couple of aggressive zoo decks lately that also run Wolfrider and Bluegill Warrior for instance, these decks dont go for board control and just throw everything at your face. In such a deck Leeroy would fit, but these decks are much weaker than a standard zoo overall imo. In standard zoo Leeroy is a pretty bad card for the reasons mentioned above, you don't need a rangy finish.
Ancient of War is a 5/5 with battlecry gain 5 health + taunt or gain 5 attack. Druid of the Claw summons a 4/4 with charge or summons a 4/6 with taunt.
Not really obvious from the text of the card though.
Thoughts on why having one large 'Panic Button' card doesn't work out in the long run?
Because generally speaking having a card in your deck that helps you avoid a "panic button moment" situation is preferable to one that might get you out of it.
Just to put some math behind it lets assume you cast 2 thoughsteals (priest games tend to last quite long so it's a fair assumption). Your opponent has 3 legendaries in his deck and decides to mulligan them away if they come up (very few exceptions).
The chance of you pulling AT LEAST one legendary are 1-(24*23*22*21)/(27*26*25*24) =~ 39,5%
So your 50/50 numbers aren't that far. This is of course assuming you get both thoughsteals off and if the numbers hold up on a larger test sample it might indicate people are using more than 3 legendaries on average in their deck.
Blizzard posted a stat quite a while ago that going first gives a slight advantage to every class except rogue. It was somewhere in the 52-48% range.
Going 2nd probably feels stronger cause most of your advantage is packed into 1 turn. While the player that is going first in fact has the same advantage for every other turn. So the only real advantage is you can choose to smooth out your curve + get 1 extra card.

Not even sure what I was hoping for when checking back so often for some sort of announcement after the "not this week news", but YAY! :)

This is really nice, it deathrattle orders feel so random on live now. And with so many new ones coming out it would have become a real issue.

This was proposed a lot during beta. But it seems going second is a still a slight disadvantage on average so I don't think you'd want to change this.

Bloodmage Thalnos adds much more to miracle than Edwin VanCleef.

If you make a fist with your hand the ring finger usually has the highest knuckle, and the thumb is below the side of the index finger/ring finger.

Enjoying the vids, but my ocd mind can't get over the fact the thumb is on the wrong side in your logo :)

But it gets removed from the board before it gets destroyed, and as Boyle mentioned the card gets destroyed, not the minion.
I don't think it should happen like this, maybe you should report it to blizzard. In either case it's definitely not obvious, good catch!
