Ok, I am not really sure, but I'll venture a guess based on the following:

According to the Metaltooth Leaper, mechs hate rust caused by rain (or other forms of oxidation). According to Ship's Cannon--loosely interpreted, every time it fires you will either be crushed or soaked. This leads me to believe that the continuous effort mentioned in the clue is the constant summoning of pirates needed to trigger the cannon. A cannon which will cause damage in the game and possibly rust from cannonball splashes in the lore.

I'm not confident though, this is a puzzler.

I like your reasoning, but no both are wrong.

I feel like it has to be one of the Ogre cards because of the "But my solution is not conclusive. Continuous effort will be required" part referring to their 50/50 chance to hit the right target. But no ogre seems to have any lore or flavor text that refers to saving the world or ridding it of Mechs. I don't know, I'll just throw out Mogor the Ogre?

Nope it's not an Ogre either.

I'd personally prefer one. Since I think it's both more punishing and more common to have both of them stuck in your hand, then to have none.

But ofc you could make 2 of them work as long as you're not too picky to play them. But in those cases the value is often just good, not great.

Z's Legend Grind Advice  (Haven't posted this in a while)
     - Pick a deck that has been proven can make it to Legend and stick with it.
     - Track your wins/losses against popular decks (ex. split Zoo & Handlock, Mechmage & Freeze Mage) this will allow you to not get discouraged and worry if you have a tough time against a particular deck you will know it.
     - Watch a popular streamer that uses your deck and mirrors your play style.
     - If you feel you need to change your deck to match a new rank meta only change two cards at most at a time.  To many changes can drastically alter your effectiveness and win percentages.
     - Realize that RNG giveth and taketh away.
     - Work on what cards your opponent could have to derail your plan.  Try to think your moves out at least one extra turn ahead of where you are at.
     - Have fun!  Enjoy the journey.  This is a game and getting mad or frustrated doesn't do anything for anybody.
     - Watch your win percentage and realize how many more games it will take to reach legend.  Prepare for the grind and it won't grind you up!

Hopefully this helps some people.  See you all in the tavern.

Was gonna suggest something very close to this. All very good tips!

666 is the number of the beast

Haha, figured you were trying to throw us of guard by writing it like it was a 6/6 for 6 mana :)

    Ok next one:

I have the power to save the world.
Much needed, since we have been infested with those filthy mechs.
But my solution is not conclusive.
    Continuous effort will be required.

posted a message on These legendaries work keeping? or disenchant?

I think you could safely disenchant Mekgineer Thermaplugg and The Beast. Unlikely to be useful in the near future.

Hogger and Gahz'rilla might see some play though, and as mentioned the ratio you get from disenchanting is not that great. Ultimately it is up to you though, if you feel you benefit so much more from that 1 legendary than from those 4, why not?

According to this video from Hearthstone official youtube channel, it could be tournament mode

They mention in the video that this is the format to be used in the 2015 HS world championship, no real reason to assume this has anything to do with the new game mode.

posted a message on Does Maexxna have a place somewhere in today's meta?

I don't think it's nearly as bad a card as people make it out to be.

I wouldn't want to buff it either, except possibly with Defender of Argus or Sunfury Protector. In my opinion the strength of the card is it difficult to remove without hard removal. And you would much rather use your Hex on something other than this 6 mana spider. Adding Mark of the Wild or something similar to the mix removes this advantage.

Seems to be decent against both control and aggro.

Main disadvantages are the competition in the 6 slot like you mentioned from Sylvanas Windrunner, but also from Emperor Thaurissan. And the fact he (or she?) is an answer rather than a threat of his own. And generally you can gain quite impressive tempo swings with these answers, compensating for the fact they are more situational (for instance Big Game Hunter or Shadow Word: Death). These might outperform Maexxna in certain cases.

Overall though, not a bad card at all. Might very well be playable, or borderline playable. Good idea to tinker around with the card a little bit :)

posted a message on Making that final push from 5-legend

If you can get to rank5, you should be able to get to legend! Probably the only thing you need now is a larger number of games.

What helped me a lot was keeping track of my winning % in individual matchups. This helps you realize which matchups you are playing properly and which ones you need to work on. It makes you think about key cards and turns against those classes, and how to prepare for them.

And like MRTGR suggested stick with 1 deck.

    Good luck!
