This is really... really, great. Thank you.
I wish I had more to say so my comment didn't seem so baron.
So who decided to sticky this? Either way, thank you.
There will be another theme. Just not in hearthpwn anymore.
However, isn't there a whole month until June 28, 2019? I could see 3 or 4 comps being organized.
But the current comp is the final competition of the season. After the final poll is a break. The only competitions left on Hearthpwn after this point are the mini comps at the end of the season.
True, I never received it. I ended up having to make it myself. I suppose our current competition is now the final WCDC here, and the Season 9 Final Poll is the ultimate grand finale. It's been years building up an arc and it will come to a dramatic, epic, fulfilling climax here.
There's always outof.cards though.
I will miss this site. A lot.
After lurking around on this site for a while before, I decided I would finally join it on March 20th 2016 during the reveal season for Whispers of the Old Gods. That would mark the beginning of my HearthPwn experience. I didn't do very much at first, but upon discovering the WCDC, everything all changed. I made some fan creation stuff, but I first started getting serious with the competitions around the time of the custom expansion competition. It was from there that I met all of my greatest friends that I've made on this site, and all of the wonderful people that made the fan creation community what it was. I say a big thank you to ThisOtherGuyTox, CheeseEtc, Linkblade91, Otovent, Sinit, Cogito_Ergo_Sum, Maxlot, CheeseEtc, Shatterstar1998, Livienna, RazorOfArtorias, Teknician, Phoenixfeather, and the big mac-daddy himself, ShadowsofSense, for everything in the fan community. You were part of the reason I stayed there. The entire fan creation community is easily the best part of the site. I also say a very special thank you to Fluxflashor and the rest of the community that runs this site, for making this site what it was.
I voting for the archaeologist simply because the hero power is the only good one.
This honestly is the biggest issue with custom classes. Design space for basic Hero Powers is extremely limited, as all of the really streamlined, simple designs are basically already taken.
Everyone did really good here. I'd honestly say everyone has an equal chance at winning, but if I can only vote for one person, I'm also voting for Pirc on this one.
I hope to see if any of you guys will continue with your classes after the competition, and best of luck in your future fan creation endeavors.
Also I have all the flavor texts ready for all the finalists.
If you're familiar with the Khajiit Caravans from Skyrim, this is the same flavor I was going for here.
I love the custom art! I think that's a real advantage to have, its silly and fun! But I don't like the card text. Banana cards are kind of silly, you've got silly art, the card effect should be more playful and simple. Maybe just "Cast a Banana spell on every minion"?
Here are my ideas. Banana Crawler is maybe actually a decent card. Totally Bananas! is maybe good? probably not great. Spooky Banana is just silly and stupid.
I vaguely remember someone making Banana Crawler, only with a Battlecry instead of a Deathrattle. I don't remember if it won anything, but I remember it being made and myself giving feedback on it. I say you can probably make it a Battlecry. I quite liked that card, and I quite like this card too.
Is Spooky Banana intended to be upgradable in some way? If not, then it should say "a" instead of "1".
A spell that only has a conditional effect is something I'm not particularly fond of, but the effect of Totally Bananas is interesting.
Didn’t we already have this prompt? Oh well.
Banana Crawler is a simple, flavorful Hunter card. Spooky Banana fits with Warlock disruption, but might fit better on a minion instead of just a spell with no other effect. Totally Bananas should probably cost 2 or more. The empty hand is a big requirement, but you can get a LOT of power out of a hand full of bananas.
Here’s my initial idea. He eats all the Bananas, so running him with Mukla is a good idea. If you have two of them, the one that’s been on the battlefield the longest gets the bananas.
Some people might be off-put by the flavor wording, and the effect may sometimes be a downside if you use it with something like Banana Buffoon. Not very many cards can add Bananas to a player's hand anyway, although the same thing could be said about Heistbaron Togwaggle.
Only took a while, but I'm actually quite happy with this idea.
If you're familiar with the Khajiit Caravans from Skyrim, this is much the same flavor I was trying to get at here.
My main concern here is that I'm not sure if the artwork could possible be centered better. The full artwork is in the spoiler. I was trying to focus mostly on the goblin.
With every class getting 2 buffed cards in The Boomsday Project, I thought I would do the same thing.
Bullet Time now costs 1, down from 2. Portal Scientist now has 5 Health, up from 4.
Originally I was concerned about a combo with Black Hole, which is why Bullet Time was originally 2 mana.
