Are you playing solo against nobody taking turns? if so that probably will work great.

Most decks have you dead or something on board so nasty at turn 10 you will be dead.

any idiot that thinks that this is bad should uninstall the game and start some sport or something because they clearly don't have the brain to solve simple math problems, so let me spell for them:" if you play card and ur hand thingie no go down, you have moar cardz to deal with opponent less cardz and eventually opponent no have moar cardz to sthap yah when yous till have cardz to damage opponent".

this is basically Lyra tied to an AoE.

This card is BAD.  Really bad.  They even did the work for you to explain how bad it is, Frodan used the example of it being sorta like a different Thrall.  Everyone knows you run out of gas fast when using Thrall.   In terms of spell generation, Lyra is 10x's better than this.   You are going to pull MAYBE 1-3 garbage shaman spells(and we all know the vast majority are garbage) and then be stuck with some OVERLOAD trash while your opponent just builds their board.

This is really really bad and a total meme card, but not a fun meme card becuase you are just going to slowly die and get a few disappointing unusable spells.

Yea, and I don't really care if you have a specific deck that counters handlock because guess what... you are losing 9-10 matches playing against anything else so what is the point.
Not true at all.  I have been climbing with control hunter, and it has a great matchup vs handlock, and a good matchup against everything else.

Climbing = Just broke into the TEENS guys.  keep it up man, by the end of the night you might be at level 17.

You just cried on the Warrior thread.
If you don't want people to laugh at how pathetic you're being, don't be, pathetic?
Make reasoned arguments instead of just blatantly crying over everything.

These losers actually follow you from thread to thread defending their OP decks that they think they are winning with skill with.  lol.

No, really, you are great at this game...  you just uhhhh... you just like playing handlock and control warrior is all...

(3 months ago they were all undertaker hunters and back in the beta priests)...  typical scum bag role players.

Love how all these morons replying don't acknowledge EVERY SINGLE GAME in the tournaments this weekend was Warrior... same exact deck, same exact cards.

Why would EVERYONE be playing that exact deck???...  i wonder why...   Oh... thats right, becuase its insanely unbalanced compared to anything else and it gives them the greatest chance to win.

Don't worry OP, you are going to get about 10 replies below about how each of these people beat warrior easy and have no problem with it.   Same old same old.

Made a post about 2 weeks ago saying handlock was broken and unbalanced in every way.   Was laughed at.

After watching the tounranments who is laughing now??   Every single game is WARRIOR vs HANDLOCK... every, single, GAME.

Yea, and I don't really care if you have a specific deck that counters handlock because guess what... you are losing 9-10 matches playing against anything else so what is the point.

Handlocks are worse then Hunter and more mindless to play.  TURN 4 GIANT OR INSANE DRAKE... EVERY GAME. you do nothing special to earn it, you make no startegic decisions, IT IS GUARANTEED.   LOL, someone said that you need to tap 3 times for that to happen. WOW... you now have 3+ cards and an 8-8 on the board for a single fireball shot.   Cry me a river.

Where are you all now????  saying handlock isnt OP... funny how thats all that is on twitch all day long.

I would suggest that Rock paper scissors has more depth and strategy then this game.

In that case you can atleast read your opponent and apply previous history to your decision making process.    Hearthstone's strategic value lies within which netdeck is most efficient within the meta, but even then the lack of control variables of any kind(opponent, deck, card draw) remove all other meaningful player interactions.

Well they *are* times you play and you know it is over before you start. Case in point, playing as Priest last night and tossing a hand of 2 x Sledge Belcher and Circle of Healing, for 2 x Mind Control and Power Word: Death.  Really fun game that was. Thankfully after I conceded turn 3, I played the person again right after and got my revenge >:)

As per the convo though, there are bad matchups for decks, and sometimes it feels like you have lost before you even started because of it. But there is still a ton of room for play skill and choices. Plus eking out a win against almost improbable odds makes winning that much sweeter.

you are not "eking" out wins though, that is my point.

How often in tournaments have you heard the words "TOP DECK"? If your opponent has 4 taunted giants and you are about to lose and you TOP DECK a pyroblast and win... you didnt do anything.  The cards were already shuffled within the deck in that order and based upon turns played you TOP DECKED a pyroblast and won.   Does that make sense to you?

If you hadn't had that pyroblast in deck you lose.  If you didnt draw it at that instant, you lose.   There is no strategy in that example, your opponent hit "END TURN" and then you played that card.

The illusion is that you "eeked" out a win.  You didn't really do anything or make any thoughtful decisions to allow for that, the computer randomized and automated the events to take place that way you just sat back and watched it happen.

Just curious what percentage of the games you play are already over before they start.

Though you may think there is some strategy involved and you are making decisions, the fact of the matter is that most(+75%) of the games are over before they started.  Simply based upon class, deck, mulligan, then card draw.

Meaning the game itself has no startegy, there are no "Plays" to be made or tactics to employ.   Most everyone ranks 10 and under is netdecking or very close to it.(example: 99% of warlocks either drop aggro turn one or tap and then its handlock)

I believe this is the secret to hearthstones success when you peel back all the layers.  You actually think you are competing and making decisions impacting the arc of the game.

I see A LOT of threads on here with replies to bad matchups or complaints about overpowered decks/cards which suggest they should substitute a counter card or play a counter deck....  that would be a tactical decision you arent able to make before(based upon an unknown opponent) or during the actual game.

Another example would be Harrison Jones.  If you are playing a weapon heavy deck and you have that card in yours, the card provides a massive advantage.  If you are instead playing a priest/mage/warlock it is poor option given its stats and mana requirements.

In the above example you have no control who your opponent is, you have no control over the draw of that card within your deck.   No real control or strategy.

DO NOT REPLY WITH BLATANT 'MISPLAYS' AS AN EXPLANATION OF VARIED CONCLUSION.   THOSE ARE ANOMALIES WITHIN THE GAME WHICH ARE ANECDOTAL AND DO NOT HAVE ANY BARING ON THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD OF THE QUESTION.

I'm just upset because there are 2-3 ways to play each deck now, but scrubs want to whine about cancer because they got countered.  They should just realize that "cancer" decks are just counters to what they're running.  Its not cancer, its countering.  Everytime you get beat is not because the game is unfair, its because you were unprepared.

Just went to your twitch channel.  you are level 15 calling other ppl scrubs. lol

Also stop making bs click bait threads just so everyone can see your lame twitch channel address.

"Adapting to what I play" means that if a mage has anArcane Explosion and they see I played two one health drops, they might hold it for better value, or a Whirlwind or a Swipe or a Fan of Knives or a Lightning Storm

Those are some HIGH LEVEL tactics there.  and by HIGH LEVEL I mean 22-25.

WHat is the card to counter 2 damage every turn on a timer that is unstoppable, card removal with freezing trap, and 10 burst damage(basically a pyroblast) with kill command.  All which you get to sit there and watch as they are unstoppable.

I have beat hunter a bunch, but when they get their cards they are unstoppable and that is why they are cancer.   you cant stop it, strifecro cant stop it, nobody can stop it.   There is a reason why EVERYONE hates it, beucase you just sit back and watch them do damage that they didnt earn or think about.  Anyone can press hero power over and over again and drop freezing traps to protect themselves. its brainless.

I tend to lose to players who adapt their play style to the first few cards I play.

LOL.  That statement right there in relation to HEARTHSTONE of all games is HILIRIOUS.  Ask firebat and strifcro why the have BOTH gone on record saying the game is over at the mulligan selection.

There is no strategy once the game the starts, if there is ANY STRATEGY at all its in deck selection and construction.  Have fun trying to ADAPT your playstyle to zoo as a control player.  lol.

Watch a pro game once in awhile, when the casters say "WOW, he started off with a great hand"...  then watch who wins at the end.   You might start to see a little bit of a correlation as to what the two best players in the world have said on record.
