Sorry to hear that man, hopefully you will get what you need soon. Well from what I am experiencing the meta seems to change daily, yesterday was mech zoo, hunter and druid, today all I am seeing is Control Priest, Mage both aggro and freeze, and Handlock. The meta may not settle for another couple of weeks so it is going to be hard to see where this deck stands. This deck does work great and I really love the early game I got going but I do want to change up the formula and add another shadowflame, remove a helfire, and add a silence. I want more late game threats as well but that is going to be hurting the early game.

Hey guys how are things going with your Demonlock builds? I will admit that my midrange build was not proficient at dealing against slow Control match ups so I made some minor changes. Also against very aggressive builds like Face Hunter it feels like 50/50 because it depends on your early game. I have gone 5-2 against Hunter aggro decks on the first day and have not encountered anymore as of yet.

For the new build I took out Slyvannas because she felt too slow for what the deck wants to do. I added a Power Overwhelming and a shadow flame because it does very well against mid-range builds like Druid, which I was running into a lot. I took out haunted creepers because they did not add anything to the deck. I also added in Doomguards because they are just way too good in this kind of deck. Very rarely have i needed to Play him where it was a risk of losing something needed. He is perfect for voidcaller and can change games. Sense Demons is so good in the deck and has helped me smooth out my turns and make some power plays. It is poor in aggro match-ups, and it is a loss of tempo but I think that the benefit of getting combo pieces is worth it.

This is the demonlock deck I am going to try when GvG comes out It has a lot of good synergies and good tempo for early game, I added a sense demons because the 3 drop spot is low and if you are going to play on tempo you are not tapping into demons early enough for void caller to be used effectively. I am sure through testing that there will be a more streamlined version that I can maybe cut sense demons for a more tempo oriented play.

I want to get a little more serious at Hearthstone, I love being and staying competitive at a game I love and if you want to get better and practice for tourneys add me. I will admit I have not hit legend, but that is more of a time constraint for me because I am in college and have other obligations but I can get to 7-5 no problem, it is just a time thing for me. Also if you want to try out new decks and test them it would be no problem. I am on the US server and my battle tag is to the left.

posted a message on I hope Neptulon is a joke or something.
    Quote from sageturk »

Guys i speak from experience - 2 arena runs both with Neptulon (i swear they are totally weighting the RNG right now like crazy).  Neptulon is a tier 1 legendary.  Like possibly one of the best.  Imagine if you could cast Onyxia 3 turns earlier....and the minions she summoned were always better stats than 1/1.  That's Neptulon.   And his intro animation is the best in the game (King Krush finally has been dethroned ;) ).   I know people wanna hate on him cause it was SO unexpected.  But play him once and be converted.

That is from an arena perspective though. In arena it is about overall card value. I will admit that Neptulon is great in arena because of its body and the card advantage it gives you. In constructed it is most likely going to be a different story. In arena cards that are sub-par are great, because of initial value, like Onyxia for example, she gives you a lot of stats and a big body but she is too slow in constructed and not that effective. I just think that people that are for Neptulon are overvaluing the murlocks in constructed. I do not think that Neptulon is a tier 1 card like Tirion or Rag, he is more of a tier 2 card along side Antonidas and Cenarius. He is not bad in a lot of cases, but I do not think he can be great in most situations. My opinion of this card has changed a lot from what I have initially thought, that it had really no place in any deck if it wanted to be viable to maybe it can work under the right situations and give you that extra push. I think we can all agree that this card was underwhelming when we first saw it and that if it was a better Ancient of Lore, where it could draw 4 cards from your deck with 3 overload, I would consider it a tier 1 legendary.

posted a message on I still think Undertaker is going to be ridiculous post GVG

It is true that she can be weak against certain decks, but i would be running two copies in my decks right now because of the meta and how prevalent deathrattle is. Loatheb is very bad against Undertaker Hunter and Zoo because they can are not hurt by his effect, and I would say that the majority of the meta is shared between the 2, yet he is still ran. Sure he can stop lethal for a turn but it is just preserving one more turn for you. That is a little off-topic, all I am trying to say is if the meta is similar to how it is now, there would be a lot of decks running 2 copies of Lil' Exorcist. It is the same for all tech cards, if the meta is dominated/majority of certain decks and you can count the card not being dead for over 50% of games and can get value, I would run it to increase my overall winrate. tbh we need sideboard tournaments after GvG releases and a new tournament mode for the game. Clockwork Gnome is not that great, he is the worst out of the 3 1drops with deathrattle, Zombie chow has crazy value, and leper gnome gets damage in, but i am sure he is going to be in aggressive mech decks.

I think we have to be patient, because there has to be a nerf for this card, it is just way too strong. The tempo it creates is ridiculous, and if there is no quick answer for him, this card can basically secure the win for you in the first few turns. The way Blizzard does their card change policy is weird and this is probably not gonna happen for months. Look at the Leeroy change...after naxx where Miracle was not all that dominate this was after the out cry of how strong that deck/combo was they finally nerfed him several months later.

It is definitely a strong card and it can get out of hand quickly. It works extremely well in both aggro and mid-range builds because of the insane tempo it builds. I think that Blizzard is going to nerf the card within the next couple of months if it is as bad as it is now. Another reason it may get nerfed is because it limits design like Gadgetzan (which they nerfed for the same reason). The more early game deathrattles that could be better that they design, the better Undertaker gets, just like making better low cost spells makes Gadgetzan way better. I think Lil' Exorcist is going to be a good card against these deathrattle decks, to at least stall and trade for your removal to get drawn. We can speculate all we want but in the end we are just going to have to see first hand if Undertaker is going to be a king of the meta.

Pyromancer gives you that extra damage you need and is very good in almost every match-up. Of course he is much weaker in control, but you can put him to good use.

I am surprised there is no shrinkmeister, he opens up a lot of possibilities for shadow madness and cabal. It will be interesting to see how Light of the Naaru is, definitely can be a good removal spell with Auchenai or nice turn 4 Injured Bladmaster/light get a Lightwarden.

posted a message on New bad cards NOT bad (in arena)

Muster is not a bad card. In arena it is probably a top pick because it can create large card advantage. In constructed it may be a foundation for a token Pali deck which could hold its own.

I think the 3drop Ogre is really solid it gives a lot of classes who had weak 3 drops a solid minion. I put him in a mid-range Mage deck board presence. Mistress of Pain can be great with buffs but I want to compare here to Armor Smith but the latter's ability is so much better because other friendly minions get damaged and you gain the armor. I think on average Mistress may only give you 2-4 health. I do believe there needs to be serious testing for this card though.

Yeah definitely, I will add you the next time i am on HS. I have finals coming up so I may not get on that much til they are over...next Wednesday.

posted a message on Are these Forums a good place for getting help with decks?

yes there are tons of options for you on these threads. You can get a lot of help from the community. There are already alot of arena help articles and I am sure if you just ask there will be a ton of people to help. For decks you have thousands of options on this site...some better than others. To be honest just post it in a thread if you need help/advice on something like a deck you are trying and the community will respond.

I am not the biggest fan of Mistress of Pain because she is strictly worse Armor Smith and the heals are most of the time the heals are not noticeable . If you plan on buffing her she can be good, but you deck is very combo-y, and consistency is going to be an issue. My personal opinion on Hobgloblin is very low, he is just so situational and relies too heavily on other cards to be good. I think if you are gonna run demonfire i would rather run Dark Bomb, it does more damage for same price, sure it does not buff but i think the damage is more important. This is way different from what I have been thinking and maybe a buff style deck is viable. It definitely looks like a fun deck to play though.

I think that soulfire is a preference thing now, but once i actually start playing this deck, i may just say that dark bomb is better most of the time. Best case for soulfire would be to cause a tempo swing early game, most likely turn one take out the enemy's Undertaker or turn 3 kill a minion, tap/play 2-drop, since we have a limited amount of 2 drops. Soulfire was an auto-include in Warlock decks because it was 0 mana and you were willing to pay that price of discarding because it was a huge tempo swing. I think after a good bit of games testing both of them and saying would it be better to have x or y. You are also right to say that soulfire is even worst now because you are losing alot with this deck since many cards are key. That jump to 0-1 is very huge.

Sense Demons is there for 2 reasons: 1) It fill out the curve, I only have 2 other 3 drops and this makes the best use of mana. If this proves to be a huge tempo lost and not worth the spot i would consider adding the 3mana 3/4 mech. 2) It helps find your demons. With the Mid-range deck you are not going to be tapping early on and you are gonna mulligan for a early curve, meaning you are getting rid of your demons. Even though there are only a few demons in the deck...6, i think the effect is just too good. If you have void caller in hand and no other demons, it is a bad tempo play, but if you sense demons and get Mal'Ganis/ other heavy threat it becomes great. It is a tempo killer but gives you card advantage, and helps you with the demon synergy.

I kept on forgetting about Voidterror so I have 4 3-drops in the deck.
