FortyDust posted a message on Is inevitability a good thing?Posted in: General DiscussionIt seems counterplay has been set aside in the name of shorter matches so people can play Hearthstone on the toilet.
That is literally the trajectory this game has taken, no exaggeration.

Tallaris posted a message on Burnt out from card gamesPosted in: General DiscussionI've started playing Hearthstone on GvG launch. After enjoying almost every aspect of the game for like 2 years it started to annoy me more than it made me smile. Tried going away for few months, then coming back etc. Switched to Elders SCrolls Legends and got pretty good rank there. Tried magic the arena. Eternal card game. Legends of runeterra for like a year starting from beta.
No matter what, at some point, all I'm starting to see is that I lost/won due to rng impact. Yes, I'm talking here about drawing badly, poorly, facing counter decks. No matter I lost or won in such situations, It would have always left me with feeling of injustice and that neither I nor my opponent couldn't have done anything to prevent it.
Deep down inside Id love to don't give a shit about matchups like this and focus on skill testing games and so on. But even then I remind myself about pro players on twitch who 90% of the time excuse their losses or wins with stuff like "better hand, didn't draw, counter decks etc".
I feel like when I started my journey with ccgs, there was a ton of things to learn and there was no place for focusing on stuff like bad draws etc. I would just accept it as it is, just focusing on my misplays, animations, interactions. But once I get to know it pretty well all I'm starting to feel is a terrible fear of RNG. In my mind, it's just not acceptable to let things get out of my hands. I love to have control over things and when I feel there is nothing I can make to work it out I just leave it cause it slows me down. Here in card games I just feel like too much depend on RNG and despite great moments, there are too many that make me feel bad.
It just shows how people's minds differ from each other. I mean some people just accept shitty matchups and only focus on what's nice. Maybe somebody had been in such phase before and managed to overcome it?

Pr1ncipe4i20 posted a message on United in Stormwind Card Reveal Stream - The Remaining Cards?!Posted in: NewsEvery "content creator" who decided to cancel their card reviews should just quict hearthstone now and start doing activism/preventions from now on.
Cannot express how much of a disrespect and disservice they are doing to their own audience and the community as a whole with their selfish virtue signaling. And besides everything: ITS NONE OF THEIR GOD DAMN BUSINESS what happened or did not happen at blizzard!!!Hope Blizzard doesn't commit same mistake and call them again. They need to refresh the content creators. Find new ppl interested in play the game without all that sjw bullshit.
They are always the same, always bad players doing troll decks with no return to new and competitive players. Hypocrites taking pain from stuff they doesn't even care about it. They lay down their heads on their pillows and sleep 12hours a day and go back online to pretend being something good to all their zombie followers.
tsk, what a load of bull -

Bloodmoth posted a message on [BLIZZARD SUE / LAWSUIT] Hearthstone's card reveal schedule canceled after Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy calloutsPosted in: General DiscussionSo guys, I am interested in trying LoR (Runeterra) card game, but I need some information because I'm not familiar with the company behind it:
a) What are the political stances of the creators? Which sides are they supporting if any in major conflicts across the globe? (Palestine/Israel, China/Hong Kong etc, especially curious about their stance on the Aegean Sea disputes cause I'm greek). Extra information about some of the political parties that the company top heads have voted for/support are also welcome.
b) Is the company environmentally friendly and against animal cruelty? I hope all materials used within the company are biodegradable and not animal tested, and that the game servers are powered by renewable sources.
c) I hope every race/colour/sex/gender/religion and belief is equally represented and paid, and that the company top heads are well distributed. Seeing how the shareholders that are members of the board in a company are usually too few to have representation of every group I can think of, they should be as diverse as possible, i.e. an atheist communist asian bisexual male that identifies as a female with visual impairment, a conservative Christian transgender vegan black woman etc.
d) Is every person within the company screened for criminal activity in their personal life? I wouldn't want to play the game just to find out 2 years in that a person of the staff is a wife beater or that the cleaning lady does drugs.
e) Despite it being a corporation, I wouldn't want the end goal of the product, the game, to be money and profit but the promotion of gaming as an art form and as a means to soothe the soul in these troubling, difficult times. I would want it to be 100% free with no microtransactions, no paid cosmetics and free expansions. Also guaranteed support for at least 50 years and live servers, in case I want to show my grandchildren what I used to play when I was their age. Now if the creators want to give back to the community and send me some pocketmoney through PayPal or credit card for playing the game it would be considered a plus.
Thanks in advance for providing me with the crucial information every sane gamer would need before enjoying their hobby. I know you guys are really up to date with all that so it won't be that troublesome.
EDIT: Stop sending me private messages about how the game works, the art, the world building, the sound and other irrelevant stuff. We are here for the activism, not to actually play the game.

Aegis24 posted a message on New Druid Legendary Card Revealed - Lost in the ParkPosted in: NewsHypothetically speaking you don't need to finish the quest early. With the 2 mana spell that copies taunts to your hand this is potentially 24 damage over 2 turns. It's just a matter of making the deck work around a mechanic druids have been avoiding for years because it's typically not good. It's still pretty easy to complete, and does give you some really good armor gain making it possibly a good anti aggro option, but it's incredibly boring in design.

i think they at least nailed it with the new name , MERCENARIES

feels focused nerf? this is odd... i guess they mean Stealer of Souls + RNG = Dead on turn 5

''''' leaked '''''

Little set up means : stick big minion + play Battlemaster = win the game, Warlock play Giant for nothing , Paladin play stealth minions + Blessing of Authority then Battlemaster... Rogue play Scabbs + stealth buff then Battlemaster , decks that played Battlemaster are going to kill you in the same way , so a 1 mana 'nerf' on Battlemaster does nothing.
4
delaying the play by 1 turn is huge for Face Hunter.

Il'gynoth and Incanter's Flow nerfs are good but nerfing Battleground Battlemaster to 6 does absolutely nothing, it doesn't solve the problem with the card, what other card in the game deal 15+ damage with little set up most of the time? this is so dumb , Darkglare delayed by 1 turn isn't a big deal when it cost 0 most of the time.
2
because almost nobody is playing it and the data is distorted , it says Rush Warrior has a 53.3% wr but what's the number of games ? 10 ? 100? 1000? i.e. Aggro Hunter probably has like 10 or 20 thousands games recorded. So this is why that data is misleading... also there's no bracket difference between Diamond, Silver, Legend, etc... there's no # of games for each deck, so probably Rush Warrior is crushing everyone on the bottom of the ladder where nobody care with a sample size of 100 games.

is good to see blizzard sharing this info BUT this is really misleading , this data use Diamond, Silver,etc... brackets , and there's no way Rush Warrior (which i've faced 0 times since expansion release) is number 5.

fu%&ing SJWs , you guys are pathetic, NOW you're raising awareness, because NOW everyone care, like with the Holywood '' metoo '' , EVERYONE knew that this bs happened , but NOW you're ''' raising awareness ''' ... pathetic...

people always underestimate face damage and this one is so easy to complete and then you can dupe the reward , so i think this is far from trash as some people says, the problem that i have with this deck is that it seems similar to Soul DH but without the insane board clears
