Adding 2x Crystology allows you to be more flexible with buffs in your oppening hand since it draws both your Young Dragonhawk. It will also decrease amount of restarts you need to achive the perfect hand.

Copyrighted posted a message on [BUDGET] Young Dragonhawk Buff (Paladin vs Lich King)Posted in: [BUDGET] Young Dragonhawk Buff (Paladin vs Lich King)This and only this. Only deck I had fun restarting over and over, way less cancerous than other matchups, not so rng reliant, theoretically only 1 card needed in mulligan, at other matchups you needed 2 or perfect hand!
Just beat it! Thanks a lot for the deck OP! -

Sorry you had such a rough go with the deck. Were you able to get a win with another deck?

The murloc rush strategy does work eventually for several classes, but since Murloc Warleader got nerfed this absolutely does not work for Paladin. Paladin took me by and far the longest to finally find a strategy that works and win. Here's the deck that worked for me: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/972955-budget-young-dragonhawk-buff#c6. I know you mentioned that you don't need budget solutions, but this deck only needs commons and rares.

I too spent a bunch of time and dust on other strategies, primarily murloc paladin... sadly since Murloc Warleader got nerfed, that is apparently a terrible strategy. I'm glad this helped and you got the win!

Thanks for the inspiration! I couldn't quite get there with this deck, so I modified it to run almost no minions and finally won after that. Here's my modification: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/972955-budget-young-dragonhawk-buff.

I was excited when I thought the 4th button was going to be for some tournament mode, but I actually way more excited by the reveal of Tavern Brawl. Also, a card back section in the collection is unexpected, but totally welcome too! I've been wanting something like that, and the ability to give unique backs to individual decks, for a while. Good news all around. =)

While it's likely to be a tournament system, I think it'd be cool if it were some multiplayer mode. Hm... although as I type this I suppose that would wind up being under the "Play" button. Either way, I'm pumped!

Hello, everyone! This is the start of my second quest to improve in the arena. My first quest (Teach a Man to Fish #1 [Druid]) was a thread that covered an Arena draft were I made my picks after getting feedback from the fine folks here. I shared my gut reactions to my options and got feedback from the community on what they'd pick, and more importantly why. It was super helpful for me; I got 5 wins out of my run, which was the second best I've ever done. Surprisingly I got a lot of positive feedback from others that they appreciated reading through the thread to help themselves as well, and because of that, I'm doing it again. So join me for another arena draft quest: Teach a Man to Fish #2!
OPTIONS FOR PICK #20: Mind Control Tech vs Stampeding Kodo vs Sunfury Protector. All a bunch of tech cards apparently. MCT sounds like it would potentially be the most difficult to use properly, but a 3/3 for 3 also isn't terrible. The Kodo can certainly be quite helpful, but is also rather situational. Then again, perhaps the greater focus on 2 and 3 drops in arena match-ups makes this a more powerful option. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on that. And finally, the Sunfury is a 2/3 for 2, which is decent and can give taunt. I've seen this used with deadly purpose of course in constructed. Does that translate over into arena?

MAGE CLASS ARENA DECK

Sounds like a pretty obvious pick then with everyone voting for Frostbolt. It certainly is a versatile card.
OPTIONS FOR PICK #10: Coldlight Oracle vs Mana Addict vs Mana Wraith. Gut reaction is the Oracle. Mana Adict sounds like it could be potentially good, but with arena generally skewing towards minion heavy decks, would I really expect to get much mileage out of it? As for the Wraith, it just sounds like a terrible pick? Am I wrong there?

This was a really tough pick. I finally decided to go for the Blackwing Corruptor. There's definitely benefits and detractors to both. For me personally, I went with the card that I'm just more comfortable with. The Unstable Ghoul could be great or it could backfire on me. I know some of you will disagree, but hopefully this next pick will give some interesting food for thought as one of my options is a dragon.
OPTIONS FOR PICK #9: War Golem vs Frostbolt vs Faerie Dragon. As I see it, this is an "arena bomb" vs a staple Mage removal spell vs a solid 2-drop that could bring some synergy to my Blackwing Corruptor. What to do, what to do?!

Learning is definitely what I'm after. I would say that I'm probably most comfortable with Mage in constructed play, although none of these three classes are what I main in. I'm primarily a Druid and Hunter player. Based on what I'm seeing, most of you would go Mage and I'd be most comfortable playing Mage out of these three, so Mage it is!
Options for pick #1: Hungry Crab vs Fel Reaver vs Doomsayer. Yikes... I feel like all of these kinda suck for arena picks. These don't sound great as constructed picks either unless you specifically build around them. I frankly have noooo idea which of these to pick. #startingstrong
