a mana reduction cap to (1).

Been suggesting this for years here and for months in other card games. Developers never learn. I am a fan of combo decks in general, though. You could make effects a little stronger but not reducable to 0 and be completely fine. But nope

    Unpopular opinion incoming :
Hands down, the worst and most uninspiring card ever made has to be the original C'Thun when it first came out.
Was the most boring and overused finisher for me - forced the meta at the time to be 100% C'thun decks with little variation and almost ended my enjoyment of Hearthstone right there.
Fortunately it was saved by the arrival of the next expansion (G&G I think it might have been)

Maybe I am remembering this wrongly, but was OG C'thun even played a lot? I remember especially druids and slower ctrl decks using it but I also remember that the Old Gods meta was pretty good with other potential finishers like N'Zoth that were more popular at the time. I could be wrong though

Literally what I said. It's not turn 9, it's turn 7 if you coin it on 5 and turn 8 if you don't coin it. All of this while assuming that you have the card in hand by then. On a sidenote, it's a dangerous card to slower decks because the secrets and the cost increase can protect this long enough to make the cannon fire. Aggro decks (if they have the board) should have no trouble clearing this

Yeah, I think people are already sleeping on this card because the titans look flashy in comparison. I can't see a world where this is no auto-include in pretty much every ctrl or combo mage deck. Frost + Arcane + Fire is very easy, but with random spell generation, 5-7 will be possible. And it starts at 1, so you just need two spell schools to make this a good card

Just dont play arena, it's a waste of time.

Arena is fun since you realize it needs SKILL and is NOT just a randomfest. Why not play it? Best mode in the game IMO. And I doubt there are any bots on Arena, though I have not played this mode for a while so... I don't know, I just don't believe. It would be strange if there would be any bots. Maybe it's time to check.

I would have agreed some years ago but from what I see right now, the skill part is no longer true. I have had an absolutely disgusting shaman draft that went only 7-3 just because I went 2nd and drew terribly. That deck would have gone 12-0 very easily in the past. Stuff like triple Party Animal with a menagerie deck, the 7 cost spell, the colossus, random card generation that creates legendary win cons like 2 of the 3 drop that discovers a legendary minion, Rotgill, etc. Also, it's quite insane how strong some decks are compared to the average draft. My last run was a 1-3 and in my last game, my rogue opponent literally started the game with 4 constructed cards with synergy (concoctions). The entire game ended with them playing 2 cards that are not in the meta right now. 2! It was a ridiculous game. And the dude I beat in that run had 5(!) Swashburglers. What the heck lol

I played this game for way too long to only have one most-hated card, but here is a list:

Genn and Baku, although I like deckbuilding restrictions

Shadow Benedictor or whatever the dude's name is. Seriously, no hero power changes on turn 0 please

    Prince Keleseth

"Who am I? None of your business!"

    Ice Block

Basically every second aggro hunter card because I hate aggro and hunter the most

Whatever the name of the 1-mana spell for warlock that gives +4/+4 and destroys the minion at the end of turn is. I used the card on my first run to mythic in zoolock but holy cow was that dumb

    That rogue quest from Ungoro

Spreading Plague and pretty much the entire Frozen Throne druid list before the nerfs (I had days where I played 80% against druid, wtf)

Almost half the questlines, especially shaman, warlock and hunter

Kingsbane (rogue main here btw lol)

Basically every meta-relevant card that got released for dh when it got into the game (Twin Slice, for real?)

    Trogg and Totem Golem

Everything in warrior that puts bombs into your deck (mainly because of Duels format)

That Death Knight weapon from duels before it got nerfed (or was it even nerfed, I actually don't remember hahaha)

    Shielded Minibot

Grommash, and almost every other card that says Charge (I have a soft spot for Leeroy, though, he likes chicken after all and that's very relatable)

Test Subject because it was a mistake to print the card

And who on earth thought that Lady Stheno is a balanced card to print?

My favourite card will always be Academic Espionage. I will never forget that moment when I drew a 1-mana Jaina DK on turn 2. I laughed so hard

To all those people who don't understand this: You want to play this with a near-empty deck, so b1ak1ce assumes that we will get cards that add more stuff to your deck to mitigate the fatigue problem AFTER you played this card. We have at least Symphony right now, though

posted a message on Problem with the most recent Neutral Legendaries

I am not comparing the metas because it makes no sense (game has changed a lot) and I am not arguing for or against either arguments. I would just like to point out that the game has a completely different problem and that is the limited design space. When you design new cards and you want to make them attractive enough so that you sell packs, you basically have the option to power creep existing stuff or create new kinds of interactions, win cons or explore new mechanics (take things like Soul Shards, bombs, heros, quests, or these colossal cards as an example). The problem with HS is that it is so old that almost all design spaces have been explored and almost the only thing remaining is power creep.

The only other option that could exist, and I am sad they haven't really done that even though the option once existed, is using the huge amount of card options of the core set to gradually reduce the power level of core and thus new sets. But this takes time because you can't have one year of garbage cards and one year of broken stuff in the same standard meta. I guess the devs are also scared that this will reduce the playerbase because the game might get a lot more boring.

On top of that, people tend to forget some of the broken cards from the past quite easily and look back at sets or metas that they wish to come back. Gods was a good meta indeed, but do people really want that back? Do people want quests from Ungoro back? Lackeys? Frozen Throne? Most of this stuff wasn't really balanced

Its probably worth mentioning that many (including myself) play constructed for the season rewards which are ultra valuable to us F2P / low-spend players

I have always been f2p in HS and I used to think that way too. HS put a couple packs in front of me each month and a couple extra cards and I was like "yeah, I have to reach at least rank XY". At some point I realised though that constructed formats have always been boring to me. And now that I can get a lot of wins in Duels or Arena, I realised that I earn a lot more resources (or pay very little gold per pack) just from playing these modes, which is a lot more valuable than what I would get from Ranked. BG, Mercenaries, and Duels also give xp for the rewards tracks, so it feels unnecessary for me to grind constructed anymore. It's also worth noting that I can play Arena, Duels, and BG with rather low dust investment (even after a 1.5 years break), so I kinda don't even need the pack rewards anymore anyway. But it's everyone's decision what mode they prefer. I just don't get the "every card is so broken" mentality when people continue to play. It sounds like people want to be frustrated by their game. A break can really work wonders
