If it has already been broken with some buffs it would probably work as the buffs appear to become permanent after it breaks, but you could not buff it, Doomerang, and expect those buffs to stay.
Ya I just watched the reveal video on IGN and it is just a deathrattle, I guess text space on the card forced Blizz to word it the way they did. Either way it looks like it could be fun with Doppelgangster and Saronite Chain Gang. I also wouldn't be surprised if someone tries to buff Leeroy Jenkins multiple times with this (since Doppelgangster could give multiple buffs while still giving back the weapon) and then using Blessed Champion to hit for 30+. Won't be a good combo, but it would be fun when you finally hit it.
I wonder if the "When it dies, re-equip this weapon" is silence-able, or if it works similar to the rogue quest and can't be silenced off. This card does not say "Give it deathrattle, re-equip this weapon" however Hearthstone text is notoriously inconsistent. If you cannot silence the re-equip this is the best weapon yet, if you can silence it the weapon is still solid, but not completely broken. This card has its best synergy with Chillblade Champion, use both weapon charges, get a 7 damage removal that might stick plus 7 points of healing to enable more weapon hits.
I really like this card, at first it seemed kinda bad, but if you're playing against a midrange deck they really have to think about whether they can afford to leave up the 4/3, or whether they give you 6 armour. Most of the time I think they will be forced to trade, making this card pretty decent.
Actually you can discard this card and bring it back off of the Cruel Dinomancer deathrattle, however there is quite a bit of RNG involved if you have discarded 5 or 6 cards until that point. Also its attack can increase while on the board, or even if you discarded it, since the attack is just a running count of the discards, so its not as bad as you think, still not good, but not completely terrible.
This leads me to believe that the warlock deathknight hero will allow you to choose which card you discard. The RNG related to discard effects just makes it too inconsistent, meaning choosing your discards is the only way to make it viable (although potentially that would make it too strong?). I'm also curious, does anyone know how this would work with Shadowflame, if you get the healing that could be pretty much a full board clear plus Reno if this thing gets enough attack, but with the current state of discard this card is mediocre at best.
It's likely going streamers, wouldn't be surprised if Toast does one at the end of his stream (I think he usually finishes around midnight EST/ EDT, which is in an hour and a half)
Yes, the cards were likely all in their final stages of development around the time Ungoro was released, the article is stating that there were issues with "partners" aka streamers who they let do the reveals. It appears that multiple streamers dropped out last minute/ didn't tell Blizz they couldn't reveal today, at least that is what the article seems to be implying.
I was thinking this would be used with negative deathrattles/ effects like the Ticking Abomination or even Doomsayer, but you could also just use this on something like a Cairne Bloodhoof and use Potion of Madness to trigger it, and who knows maybe there will be a new legendary with a powerful deathrattle that makes it very unappealing to kill, allowing the threat of this combo to force the opponent to pop the deathrattle, or risk this combo.
Check your wild collection for GvG cards, if you have a bunch of random commons and rares from GvG then you probably opened some GvG packs. If you have disenchanted all of your wild cards then I don't think there is anyway to know for sure (unless you can check your credit card purchase history, assuming you are still using the same card you would've used to buy GvG packs).
