So I'm trying out a new Shaman deck and kept hex 2 times in the mulligan against spiteful druid and drew it during a game against a spiteful mage pre turn 6. Now, I know I have an 80% chance to get a huge turn 6/7 tempo swing by hexing their 10 drop, but I forgot that blizzard recently removed every 10 drop but Tyrantus, so my hexes would just be completely useless. I know the problem is Spiteful Summoner and not Tyrantus, but that has got to be one of the worst feelings in hearthstone. Facing down 12/12, 16/16, or 11/18 stats on turn 6 is bad enough, but why is there a 20% chance for you to lose instantly unless you have a BGH or Voodoo Doll, neither of which are very appealing in most decks. If they do not nerf spiteful I would love to see about 15 horribly stated 10 drops in the next expansion, then again that would make the high roll feel so much worse.
Went from rank 3 to legend in about 2-3 hours with this even shaman list I made, it certainly isn't good in every deck but if you actually consider cards that aren't usually played but have synergy with your turn 1 hero power (note Cryostasis) it can be a very powerful effect.
Similarly to Warlock/ Priest in Kobolds, Shaman is getting a couple very high powered cards this set. In addition to Shudderwock, I have been messing around with building an even shaman and did a fairly in depth write up, and it appears to be an excellent midrange deck. I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on this and other new deck ideas for Witchwood.
Wrote a pretty thorough description for this deck, hoping for some feedback/ ideas for possible inclusions and removals. Thanks to anyone who checks it out!
As I mentioned in the deck description any thoughts on potential inclusions/ cards you think I should consider removing would be greatly appreciated, and thank you to anyone who takes an interest in my deck :D!
A 4/7 rush for 4 is very strong, which is probably the best case scenario for this card in a warrior deck catching a Woodcutter's Axe buff. If warrior has more rush synergy this could certainly make the a rush tempo warrior list, but only if there are already two copies of Militia Commander because it is just better than this card except in rare circumstances (when you need to deal exactly 6 damage and this card is in worgen form for example).
I recently played this match-up back to back against the same player, losing both, however I had a win condition set up in the first game. The goal is to, as previous comments have mentioned, summon as many Doomguards as possible through Carnivorous Cube, Faceless Manipulator and Prince Taldaram. Get some chip damage with the Doomguards throughout the game and finish him off with Bloodreaver Gul'dan. My mistake was not drawing Bloodreaver Gul'dan in my top 28 cards (he actually well played me because he was so sure he was dead). But yes focus on Doomguards and face damage and you can win the mirror without N'Zoth, the Corruptor.
Here's a handbuff list I have been using for the last week or two, and the deck I have had the most fun with this expansion. I think there could certainly be some changes but it was doing pretty well between ranks 5 - 1 at the end of the December season. http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1015889-keleseth-handbuff
Best moment was dealing 20 damage from hand with 6/6 patches, 11/7 Leeroy and Rallying blade to kill cubelock on turn 8 .

This has some serious even shaman synergy, still dont know if that makes it good enough though
