This is a control mage. Not a freeze mage, cool deck though :)

fruitbat7 posted a message on freeze mage back again?[Finished with in-depth guide]Posted in: freeze mage back again?[Finished with in-depth guide]maybe value mage would be a less missleading title..although the lack of freeze spells as other people say (Ice Lance) it kinda tries to slow down the game ("freeze") to win late game

Chimera posted a message on Karazhan Dragon-ZooPosted in: Karazhan Dragon-ZooThat sucks dude! The beginning of the season can be really hectic though. Really aggressive decks racing for legend. It can e tough for sure. In this situation i would try to get your hands on your aldors and consecrations asap, and just poop tokens to try and stall through their early turns, then it will taper off and you can gain the upper hand if you make it to turn 6 or so. Twilight guardians are also crucial here. Good luck! Ill try and get some more/better tips to post in the guide later :) Thanks for your feedback.

The board is definitely important and it this sort of deck does rely almost exclusively on minions, so you would be right to be concerned about losing it. There are 28 minions in this deck, so you will definitely be slinging them onto the board constantly. It's always likely the enemy will have removal to deal with some initial threats, but there are just so many valuable minions and effects here that often i find myself overwhelming my opponent regardless of their removals. It's important to ride the curve whenever possible. I love nightbane templar for recovering some board presence with the whelps, then allowing me to buff one afterwards. After the first few turns you want to try and get out a twilight guardian if you have one, or just some increasingly large bodies. It's crucial not to over-extend; it can be quite easy to get carried away. Once it gets into the late game you have a bunch more options, and the curator and tirion will totally slow them down in most cases as well.
I have tried using equality a few times as well as truesilver champions, but they did not seem to contribute towards the success of this deck because when you play them you aren't building your board up. You can destroy theirs easier fore sure, and they are very good cards, but you can often clear a lot of their threats with your minions anyway and now with book wyrm it should be a bit better yet.
Regarding keeper of uldaman, i have also tried them in this deck as 1 and 2 copies. After several games i came to the conclusion that although the effect was useful here and there, there were also times where i didn't really have any use for the effect and i would have rather had another card to play. Having 2 aldor peacekeeper seems like enough in the vein of neutralizing the stats of threatening minions. I didn't use it much to buff my own minions because i already have cards that do that. I swapped them out just recently actually for an equality and second dragon consort (of course i just removed the equality in favor of book wyrm which i will explain more later).
On the beast side of things, i would like to begin by saying that of the 3 tribes beasts are of the smallest priority in this deck, there are only 3. The murloc hero power is very useful so i didn't want to include so many beasts. Jeweled scarab has proved to be very valuable many times. The 1/1 body can be buffed (and often will go ignored if there are other things on board) and the 3-cost cards you can choose from are very applicable. I really like having it in my opening hand as well in case i don't get a decent 3 drop. You can get many things. More nightbane templars, another brann, minion buffing spells, murloc warleaders, stewards of darkshire; it is quite versatile and fits well in my opinion. I like having the one dire wolf to go with this because it can be very useful when trading. I decided to use only one in this list because if there's not much on board at the time you have it it's not very good to just play on it's own, you ideally want to have minions already. Huge toad is a valid choice and i can see why a lot of people would choose it, but i don't think that it does too much. Sure the stats are better, and the deathrattle can do 1 damage randomly, but you don't get more cards and it is a bigger target in the eyes of your opponent before you buff it.
Book wyrm seems to me like a very nice card and much better than kodo because as i said beasts are the smallest priority tribe in this deck, dragons being the highest, so i went with a ton of dragon synergy. For the extra 1 mana you get +1 health, you can destroy enemies 3 attack or lower rather than 2, and you get to choose the target. Another reason i really like this is because it is a dragon it can combo with dragon consort and get a discount, which means you could easily play it for 4 mana if you strategize well enough and it can be a very nice tempo swing i think. I can not say with certainty that 2 copies is better than 1 yet because it just released so im going to give it time, but i figured it would be much more value than scaled nightmare and equality. I thought about it and decided that although there are not a lot of 2 drops, the murloc hero power can spawn buffable murloc tokens which can be sufficient for the 2 mana if you don't have a 2 drop.
Sorry for the huge reply but i like to be thorough :). I appreciate your feedback and interest in the deck, and i really hope you enjoy playing the list if you try it! Hope most of that was understandable, i typed really fast lol. I am more than happy to discuss or explain more if you desire. -

I find coining Totem Golem is usually good. I used to avoid it but lately i've been coining it every chance I get a a test and it usually works out having that early board control. Then if you get an evolve you can trade then evolve...works quite nicely...

Everything kills it, costs a lot of mana (it will be the most expensive card in the deck, considering Prophet is not really a 6-drop) and requires evolving right after battlecry. Too many conditions for really fast version of evolve deck.

So my son is 7 years old and plays Herathstone. He understands the concepts pretty well and does great for his age. So I save up 1600 dust to craft Mal'Ganis. He is watching me on my ipad and I craft him and he animates and does his catch phrase. Of course my son loves the animation and sound so I click on Undo and decide to craft all the legendaries for him so he can hear what they say etc. So I do that for a couple of Legendaries. I do it for Onyxia and instead of clicking undo I accidently just click on the side. Therefor making it official that I crafted that legendary. ARGH!!! I yell. Holding back the extreme urge of cursing a blue streak in front of my son. I mean.... she isn't the worse Legendary but she isn't the best either lol
Anyhow, I figured you fellow HS players would appreciate my misfortune :)

Ugh, this is even more effective than previous face hunter. I feel bad for playing this. I am sorry to anyone I play against and beat with this deck.

Your deck is annoying as hell and thanks for the easy predictable wins. Your deck is too over used and sure you come close to winning many times...but close doesn't count as a win. Here's a tip for ranks 10 to 1. You are playing higher ranked players that know how to play against your deck because EVERYONE is playing this boring deck. I am honestly bored of beating it all the time and I like having variety!!!!! To fredfredz that I played against as a warlock and lost tonight. I wanted to friend you because your warlock deck was actually original and a breath of fresh air lol
(removes his soap box and goes to play against yet another warlock rush zoo zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz deck)
