posted a message on Deathwing hero is insane

So I'm a 5k rated player, so am aware of my limitations, but I've never seen anything like it. I know some people luck out hard but this didn't feel that way at all. Picked new hero for lulz, +3 attack all round.

Sweet lord, I've never had a run this easy.

Turn 1, the 1/1 divine shield dude,

    Turn 2, level up,

Turn 3, there's a rat pack and a hyena, (this is fortunate I know but rat pack is the problem card - hyena died very early on in most battles). I sell the divine shield, reluctantly, and buy both.

Then i fast teched with 2 minions, wiping the floor with everyone, my next 7 turns consisted of 5 level  ups, and 2 purchases of rat pack and hyena. Never traded perfectly favourably.

Got to level 5 in short order, matched up a hyena for level 6 mama bear (agree is helpful) and then wiped the floor with anyone I faced.

tl;dr - rat pack and deathwing is massively strong, given how accessible the combo is from an early stage. I'm not the first person to find it, but not fun to play against.

posted a message on New Neutral Epic Card Revealed - Tentacled Menace

Forcing the enemy to draw at all is a mechanic they intentionally removed, (coldlight was a pita).

a 5 manage 6-5 is ok for its stats, and in giant decks gives them unplayable cards, while giving you a potentially free 8/8. Given that handlock revolved heavily around (initially) a turn 4 giant, a turn 5 6/5 and 8/8 in any class is pretty mad with the equivalent of burning a card of theirs.

I really like this card, with the caveat that giants are viable in the new world.

posted a message on Tombs of Terror Heroic Guide - Xatma, Plague Lord of Death

So I'm a bit of a solo adventure fiend and have done a fair few runs of this. It's a solid guide (thanks for making). I want to add a few bits.

    1) Let's acknowledge all the instawin combos for all the bosses and then discard them for the pointless abuses they are. The moonfire hero power on elise combined with Jr Navigator means any 0 cost non damage spell is an instant win. (heal her, 3 spells, heal, moonfire proc, -moonfire her, 3 moonfires, etc.) It's extremely boring and unfun (suggested fix, moonfire cant target her)

    2) Multicasting the gnomish obliterator, in a variety of ways, typically done with the warrior/. Even against the "immune" phase 1 murloc boss, it's a flat kaboom. This is easiest to do with multi proccing the battlecry/deathrattle treasure relic 4/4, you're looking for gnomish/hearthstone to give you more chances of getting it and slow playing the build up levels to unleash a 250+ damage blast to OTK the PL. I love the 4/4 relic dude, and will amp him up (duplicates from tavern, double legendaries/battlecry/reborn minions with death rattle, resurrect first 4 deaths, start in hand etc) making that play my entire game plan, but just ignore obliterator when you get it.

So, now for the actual ways to take on the baddies. I LOVE the +1hp & taunt buff. Especially when combined with the tomb, this single one makes it possible for you do adopt an endure build deck, as you just need to put out stuff, and eventually you'll get something out of the tomb that wins you the game (violet wurm becomes self sustaining). This is a fun way to play if you like surviving an onslaught and then building up type games. These pair ridiculously well with recycling.

A great hero power is the discover your next draw one. This means you can play aggressively into Hakkar (you'll need a few), and again, endure more than they can. Once you get the Runaway Gyrocopter (5/1 charge 5 damage explode minion), you can reliably clear the board regularly (thinning the deck down too) without worrying about it being stolen by sylvanas.

If you can pick up a togwaggle and a Hakkar, that can make for a pretty entertaining game.

Other endurance items that really help out, burning blade (4/2  -give all minions in deck +2 attack) being recycled endlessly turns every minion into big damage.

a final fun way to play is with the odd cards reduce your hand cost and spell spam. Just chuck out enough stuff, preferably randomly generated and reap the rewards.

Mini whinge time: I've played this mode to death, ALWAYS picked the VIP membership and still I've never seen the crazy decks or anything that cost 3 in the VIP tavern. So I'm salty. Hope this helps.
