Does this work in questless quest mage? For the combo to work you need to draw one sorcerers apprentice, archmage antinitus, leyline manipulator, molten reflection, and two simulacrum. Most of those are minions, and if you already have two simulations in your hand this thins your deck by 3. Losing some defensive spells sad but your speeding up your game plan by 3 truns. Also because this combo requires so many cards hand size is a real problem. When I get to the late stages of a game my hand is at ten cards so I can’t draw, and because I can’t draw much I have trouble finding the last few cards. This card will allow you to draw without picking up useless cards to clutter up your hand. I don’t think this is a good deck because it’s currently not a good deck and it’s losing ice blocks, but this card would be included in it.

I think it is a fun card to try out but I can’t image it will be good. It has to be played in a slower mage deck with only odd costing cards, and that deck just won’t be strong enough. Without blizzards,  meteor, frostbolt, arcanologist you will have trouble fighting for the board against aggro. A 3/3 on 3 won’t be game swinging, and the upgraded hero power can’t kill 2/3’s(which is the commonly played stat line). It’s a good edition to the deck, but that deck just won’t be good, especially because you want to change your hero power on 9 anyways to The frost lich.

Mages also will lose ice block and can’t run sulking Geist, which means you lose to every cube lock and control priest. If this deck somehow manages to work I guarantee normal control mage is better.

I have won with 6 classes so below are the type decks i used. One of the biggest problem i see people making is drafting too many early game minions. Early pressure is good in every deck, but plan for the final bosses with 70 health, and broken board clears. Always be a little greedy when drafting, especially with some of the powerful treasures that make it possible to draft heavier decks with less downsides. Full agrro never works. Secondly, look how deck or class can make broken interactions, and exploit them. If you end up drafting a double heal potion, and you have a option to pick a second one, this is usually the correct move because they work well together. If you have a lot of Molten giants, discount them to 5 mana, and tap twice. they become free on turn 4.

Rouge-This was my easiest win, but i got extremely lucky in my draft. The Exhaust build works amazing, especially with double potion of health. As long as your round Eight isn't against the boss that mills you, its a instant win.

Druid- I played Quest druid and picked and the treasure that made minions cost 0 for a turn. When you have enough 5 attack minions, you play your spell and finish the quest.

Warrior- I built a tempo warrior with extra crystals, and the ice wall. This was a probably my luckiest win because the deck wasn't that great, but the build allowed for fast starts and always won you board control.

Mage- Spell power +3 and big spells.

paladin- I got double health and reduce big minions to 5 and weapons to 1. Draft Big dragons, and big weapons. It is powerful in the early game with cheap removal, and allows you to steamroll late game playing two Yeseras a turn.

Hunter- Draft a good mid range deck and get Death stalker Rexar. Win the early board, Draw Death Stalker rexar, win. The wax rager is fantastic in this deck, especially against darkness.

I am a big fan of this card design in rouge. at the moment miracle rouge is the viable archetype of rouge, which does not utilize having a board. To be good, this card would have to either be paired with a charge minion or have a minion stick on the board, and neither of these things generally follow the play style of rouge. the best case scenario i see is on turn 4 swashbugler, pull patches, and combo this to clear something, but in genral i think this will just clog up your gadgetzan draws. in the current meta, i don't believe this card would see any play. it is not good against board flood decks like token druid and evolve shaman, which runs the current ladder; not to mention in most draws in rouge it would be a dead card.

with life steal becoming a new mechanic to give rouges healing, a new more board centric style of play may allow rouge to drastically change its decks to include cards like this. I believe this card can be good if the meta does shift to a tempo midrange style allowing early game single target removal to be viable.

Th first day of the release I'm playing 2 of these and will try to find any remaining pirate warriors. God I just want to crush the dreams of a pirate deck with a double upgraded arcinite reaper. I don't know if I'll ever have the chance, but I will pray for it.

This card is actually pretty good. It's a one drop that feeds the hunter quest. Basically the entire hunter class is gonna play the quest and like 15-20 one drops and try to flood the board early. The reward for playing this is gonna give the hunter insane card cycle to continue in the mid game. This card will make the cut for the one drops in hunter.  The only redeeming part of the hunters play style is they cannot do anything on turn one because they have to set up a quest, but this card is good off curve.

You mention that you don't want to topdeck a 1 mana 4/3, which is generally true. If this card was added in an earlier expansion it would not be as good, But because the hunter reward is shuffle 1 mana minions with card draw into your hand, I doubt you will ever be in topdeck mode. his card just fits into the new hunter so well it's nearly an auto include.

(I also don't think death rattle hunter will be viable but decent death rattle minions are still played)

If pirates remain apressive, this will see play in slower decks. But if this sees play, pirate decks will have a much harder time curving out, and will see less play. When pirates see less play, golakka crawler will see less play.

i understand it has a lower opportunity cost implied with putting his in your deck than my analogies, and at its worst, it's a river croc, but no one runs river croc, and it will rarly tigger the effect. Similar to kazean mystic which had slightly better stats as well( I still understand subpar, but the point remains).

It's better than infested Tauren so it may see play, and on turn 10 with n zorth it's good, but extremely low tempo on curve. We'll see but priest can't effort to miss turn 1(quest), turn2( priests don't have good 2 drops, and have a low tempo 4. We will see what the meta settles at but this doesn't seem great.

I problem is how many times can you activate this. Even in miracle you only have a few turns were you play over four cards, I think just I. Those turns you play much more than four. I love the design but not competitive

Why is it a 7 mana 9/9. It's acting like the ability is a drawback, but it seems genrally good. I guess it bad if you play a card with poisoness, so I guess there is a hard counter if it becomes apressive

I don't imagine this card will see any play like eater of secrets and hungry crab, but it's good that it exists so it preemptively discourages pirates.

Secret mage will be a thing. Maybe not this expansion, but secret mage will eventually exist. Blizzard really wants it to happen

Well this seems broken, given the new warlock quest. I'm not sure what the neither portal will look like, but if it pull togather some of the powerful midrange discord warlock cards it be meta defining. Either way, this card will see play if the warlock quest sees play. A water elemental or priest of the feast are already hard to deal with on 4 so this seems powerful.

I don't think this will be played even in death rattle priest. They already have a competitive 4 mana slot with shifting shade, which I think is better than this. The 1/1 buff would be nice but it requires you to have your 3 drop still alive. It doesn't seem outright bad, just not contructed level

Well that's misleading. The card has no stats or ability printed on it yet. It's just the art. The link is to a video of Danny Pudi so I still recommend watching, but no card reveal at end.
