7? Whats wrong with their RNG implementation?

I'll only say this: a 0.00002% chance shouldn't happen as often as a 0.2% one.

@Dean Ayala:  I will keep it simple.

    1. Instead of nerfing, start buffing some of the cards.

    2. Move away from the rock-paper-scissors approach.

    3. Make this game as good as it can be instead of giving us bits and pieces every once in a while. Having one (large) feature expansion every year, that doesn't have to do with new cards and such, can actually be done.

    4. Move away from "let's see what changes to make so we get more money for as little work as possible" and go back to your old selves, when there was a balance between income and quality/design/etc.

    5. Move away from designing overpowered cards when each expansion hits, just so you have what to nerf later. This goes hand in hand with all of the previous points.

    6. Lower the time investment needed to have fun in this game. I know you want to cater to two crowds and it is hard, but you can always start rewarding playing the game, not just winning. Right now I'd rather spend my time playing something else, because it's too frustrating to lose and takes too much of my time to do anything meaningful for me. This again goes together with the point regarding the design of the game.

    7. Design your own random number generator and use it. Or stop doing so if you already do that.

posted a message on Gallery Priest is a problem.....

I have just one question: who comes up with these stupid names like "gallery priest"? It's like a priest is sitting in a gallery trying to sell you religious stuff. Lonely, forgotten, having a deep sadness in his heart, yet filthy rich.

posted a message on Mana Cost Nerfs are Lazy and Bad Game Design

    @op: costs for cards:  5 / 1 / 5

1st: i chose 5 and not 4 because the true value of the card is 4.5mana. The battlecry is a hit or miss - but when it hits it becomes a good card. When not, it's a worse fen creeper. So it balances out.

2nd: too low in power to be of any real use. You can cast it on a minion that has at most 4 health to prevent it from attacking, but the opponent can still keep it just to lethal your face or destroy a huge threat, making it a 2 for 2 cards.

3rd: the only reason I think it should be 5 mana and not 4 is because of the rhyno that gives it charge. That combo should be 10 mana and not 9.

This issue still seems to be present. No amount of waiting fixes it though (already waited for 10 minutes...).

Also cleared all caches and folders related to Battle.Net, Hearthstone, Blizzard Entertainment.

Nevertheless, these morons don't seem to acknowledge the problem, not even after many other reports have appeared. Their so called "basic and advanced steps" to solve it are useless like always.

The good thing in all of this is that we'll spend less money on this game and maybe end up never playing it at all :)

posted a message on I need help of controlling anger/sadness when losing

@op:  why do you keep playing this game if it makes you feel that way? Wouldn't you be better off with positive emotions instead? Unless you want to prove to yourself that you can change your inner core without the help of a psychologist (i.e. being within like 0.001% of the world's population), then I don't see the point.

Besides, there are far better games out there in which you actually have control over everything you do. So, if you have free time to spend and want to stay positive, do try something else. They don't need to be single player games, they just don't need to be HS and/or similar (in which outsmarting your opponent is a matter of luck due to the draws or rock-paper-scissors lazy design).

posted a message on Help Hearthpwn. Help me return to my favorite game!
    Quote from Dragonsscars >>

@OP: if you are asking us to help come back to your "favorite" game, then this is NOT your favorite game at all.

I have long since moved on from HS and never regretted it (having played since closed beta too). There are many other games out there, not necessarily card-related ones, that are really cool and worth spending time with.

For example, why should I ruin my good mood by playing this "rng shitfest" when I can play any other strategy game in which I can actually control what I do or be given the tools to at least manage what I don't?

I suggest you try to spend your free time in other games and see how that feels for a while.

This is not a "blame the game" thread.
This belongs to "group theraphy" thread.

You misunderstand. What I wrote is a "blame the game" only in your view, probably because of some deeply rooted frustration about this game (most likely).

I simply expressed my view and the fact that the OP kind of contradicts himself. You can't say a game is your favorite if you need help coming back to play it.

Also, the group therapy thread is useless for me - haven't played HS in over a year and I don't have any frustrations to vent there. Actually I felt much better during this time instead of getting mad because of stuff I cannot properly control in game.

I suggest you stop putting words into other people's mouths. Just because you think I blame the game, it doesn't mean you are right. The proof is easy - I stopped playing it long ago. Maybe you should try to build a comprehensive post for the "group therapy" thread... Maybe it'll help you cope.

Why would anyone keep playing something that makes them angry or sad is beyond me... but to each their own. Everyone is free to waste their lives/time however they see fit.

    Have fun.
