Ok so this is what I want to Know, You are playing shaman (No Surprise) and you are trying to get your quest done Unite the Murlocs when you get Hydrologist from Megafin are we assuming that Hydologist in shaman can discover any of the Secrets?
In my Opinion, As of right now I don't think this card will see any play. It's too inconsistent even if Your opponent has a board and you don't. Also Shaman already has a lot of efficient board clears, A.K.A Maelstrom Portal and Lightning Storm. It's definitely a cool card but will I be able to make it to turn five to use this card Efficiently? I don't think so. I'll keep an open mind but right now it seems bad
The Fact that Quest cards Always appear in your opening hand makes this card ten times better than I thought, We will have to wait and see if Quest Cards will Newly Define the Meta. I certainly hope so
I remember when Quick Shot was first used, it was such an OP card for aggro hunters back in the day, Powershot was also a great card that I wish was used more in midrange to control hunter. Lastly Naga Sea Witch is definitely an awesome card, although it saw little play, it was definitely a card that could be used for some cool combos. Thanks for sharing!
The Year of the Mammoth is Upon us! Pretty soon Black Rock Mountain (BRM), The Grand Tournament (TGT), and League of Explorers (LoE) will be rotating out of Standard into the Wild Format. I had the urge to know what cards will YOU miss when the New Year hits. You are encouraged to list as many cards as you like but please try to explain why you will miss them.
For me I will list at least one card from each set so the list won't be that long
From BRM:
Gang Up The reason I'll miss this card is because it had such a crazy effect and it was one of the first cards that made Mill deck somewhat viable for a time being, Mill Druid I know for a while was a thing but I feel Mill Rouge just took it to another level.
From TGT:
Astral Communion This card is Super wacky, It gave Ramp Druid an interesting way to Ramp out with Mana crystals. Although Astral Druid never became a serious deck on ladder mostly because of it's inconsistency, it still gave way to some really awesome gameplay in my experience.
From LoE:
Dark Peddler Dark Peddler was one of the first Discover effects that was introduced into the game. No one really knew at the time How good Discover was going to be when it was released but as Hearthstone Progressed the Discover Mechanic really took off. I remember when I was laddering with zoolock During LoE and adding Dark Peddler was absolutely insane in zoo. This card is probably going to be one of my most missed cards when the New Year Starts
I'm hoping that this isn't the original card text because if so this card is pretty bad, Demonfire is way better and it isn't even being seen much if at all in constructed. Even in the best case scenario of running a demon zoo deck the card by it self is very mediocre. It is possible that the reason why this potion is underwhelming was because Kabal Chemist would perhaps be too strong if all the potions we good. Anyway I hope the text is different otherwise I can't see this card working out.
I don't think this expansion is going to be lame for a few reasons:
So far as of today November 11th, 52 of the cards have been release out of 132, That is less than half the cards so there is still a chance that the expansion might have some good stuff.
Priest as of right now has some pretty exciting cards coming with this expansion so it's definitely going to change the meta with (hopefully) priest being viable
Most of the card that have been released like you said have effects that say "give a minion in your hand +x+x"" which is fine, it may not seem to flashy but the effect is indeed strong in a deck filled with cards that have similar effects to it. Even if you don't the Grimy goons have that big of a deal we still haven't seen the legendary Don Han Cho which is suppose to be the tri class legendary for hunter, warrior, and paladin.
We also still have yet to see most of the Jade lotus and The Kabal cards which i am hoping will be pretty awesome, also they haven't reveled any cards from shaman and warlock yet so that is still something to look forward to.
In a brief summary, I would say it's too early to tell, it feels a little underwhelming right now but only time will tell how strong this expansion really is

Does this card work with the GrimeStreet mechanic, like if you buff this card to like a 6/6 does he trigger on HIS own stats?

I want the flavor text of this card to be "One of the First Applicants to be a Servant of Yogg Sauron"

"That belongs in a museum"
