posted a message on GvG Packs: The Hidden Extra Cost

^^ this is exactly what I did, Just played arena and did dailies for a couple of months and accumulated nearly 15000 dust and 4000 gold, so bought 30 packs and kept a bit for arenas and will just craft the cards I want for messing around on ladder and should accrue the majority of the GvG cards that matter and will just pick the rest up later. So Blizzard was actually extremely kind to let players do that. This favors people who have been playing the game for a long while and I almost feel like its some sort of appreciation to the gamers who have stayed loyal and continued playing the game.

The one issue I see for the growth of the game are the people who pick the game up now only, as they will be even further behind and almost have to invest financially in the game to enjoy the game on ladder. This will be where Blizzard will make up for the experienced players who have saved for GvG.

posted a message on Are any old nerfs not necessary anymore?

1/2 Novice is insane, draw card is valued at 1.5 mana and a 1/1 is just about 1 value so right now it is perfectly balanced as it can be removed by the majority if decks at 1/1. At 1/2 Im sure it was a utterly annoying to play against for so many decks.

I think the one card that has recently been over nerfed is Starving Buzzard. I hated the sight of this card with those dogs so Im grateful it was nerfed. I really think this rework could honestly have been made to 4 mana however. I havent seen this card since the nerf, like at all, not even in arena. Card destroyed (Unnecessary but I'm grateful. Hunters too much Ammo still)

posted a message on Wrote myself a Tough Love Letter about raging at the ladder.

This is a brilliant article to read and right after I post here I am going to read the article above submitted by Equal1ty. I have this problem with HS, I have been playing for around 4 or so months now and season 1 i got to 9 and gotten to 5 each season since. I hit that 5 wall and the frustration of win/loss win/loss kills me, I tilt so hard and I eventually stop playing ranked. I am pretty good at arena and tend to do well generally so its always my fall back as I still want to play HS and do well so I revert to that for a few days, Earn more gold and and get free packs. I dont have the full collection but have all the cards I need to make any of the meta decks, I just use the excuse that I need to get all the cards in case. I have 5000 dust and no need to craft anything but still find myself playing arena more then ladder.

Im currently sitting at rank 6, was 9 last night and after just a few games I shot up. My thinking was that I better play arena incase I start losing and I get upset. This is "You Suck" mentallity. I have wanted to reach legend since my season 3 where I felt I could make a go at it but I have been my own worst enemy in this regard. I always want to find the deck that beats the meta and just waltz into legend unopposed, but its not as easy as that for most players anyway. I watch streams daily and generally make the same in game decisions as the pros but what this article has shown me is my 90% same is not 100%, that 10% is why they are pros and dont have the problems I have. I have this sense of entitlement and that I should easily walk into legend, I'm just straight up wrong and I need to change my attitude about this game.

Excellent post, needed to read this. Got 6 days to give it a proper go and not give up if it doesnt all go my way. If I dont make it so be it, next month is a new month and with naxx cards all sorts of possibilities. Thanks all previous posters

posted a message on Do you hate emotes? Why do people hate emotes?

Some games its just good fun to use the emotes, because I know how I feel generally when I emote. If I can see the opponent is a clown I will squelch him and that's done but  sometimes it will go something like this.....

Me: Greetings (Hey bro), Opp: Well met (Whats happening)......... Opponenent forgets to end his turn on turn 1, I greet him again (Hey bro end your turn I want to play!). Opponent: Sorry that happened (Oh shit I didn't even notice).... Me: Thank you (All Good it happens).

Play play and game is good and My opponent makes a good play. Me: Well Played (Didn't see that coming, props to you for that)..... Me: Justice Demands Retribution (You got me there but watch this). Opp: Well Played (hahaha Nice comeback).

Play game till I have Lethal or Vice Versa... Me: Well Played (I got You bro, Checkmate)........  Opp: Well Played (Damn it, that was a good game well played).

Games like that are great win or lose as I feel like with 6 blocks I have had a conversation with my opponent. Doesn't happen very often but its nice when it does.

I was watching Trump play an arena priest last night and he drafted 2 shadowforms, I also had no idea that you could use the hero power twice in 1 turn.

Yeah. I learned that completely by accident myself a few months ago. Shadowform apparently resets the hero power.

Learning by accident, I know all about that. playing a knife juggler late game and your opponent plays Leeroy, I will never forget that first time, I laughed so hard I cried a little (into instant concede from him). I would pay money to see peoples reactions to that, THE RAGE IS REAL!

I have been playing for almost 3 months now and I still don't know how some cards work. I have no idea what Elite Tauren Chieftan does, Something about rocking? its never been played against me so I'm utterly clueless with regards to that. I was watching Trump play an arena priest last night and he drafted 2 shadowforms, I also had no idea that you could use the hero power twice in 1 turn. Guess its a trial and error game till you have experienced everything or they release some sort of guide.

    posted a message on Counters

Zoo counters everything, Even zoo. Zoo even counters life itself. Zoo is the anti Hearthstone, its not by chance the class has a demonic connection, if you play zoo you have embraced your inner demons (He says with 80 wins from Zoo). BWahahahah

posted a message on I hope this Draft's a winner

I see a few things I personally wouldn't have gone for, the wild pyro is actually a counter to you but as a 3/2 for 2 it gives you options I suppose. There is a mix of some good things there though, There is a bit of unusual synergy and it seems its doing fine for you. I feel like there is a max of 7 or so wins here however unfortunately, if you get past that and reach the dream then that's some effort. All the best man
