Anyone notice Ben Brode is simply outright lying to us here? "Poisoned Blade's intention was to bring back the original Rogue hero power in a more balanced form. It does seem less good if you didn't get to play with it during Hearthstone's beta." No. The intention of Poisoned Blade was "let's make an unplayable, laughably garbage epic to have a good laugh at the Rogue players' expense". That card was so OBVIOUSLY designed to be unplayable that I can't even attribute it to naivity or ineptitude. It MUST have been designed to be useless (like so many other cards in TGT, such as Mogor's Champion and Demonfuse) because the alternative -that there's someone on the design team retarded enough to genuinely believe that this card may be playable- is just too horrible to contemplate.

Posted in: CutpurseHonestly, if this was a 2 3, it'd be pretty good, but probably not OP. Because it's a 2 2, it dies to zombie chow + the majority of 1 drops + most weapons/annoy-o-tron and early taunts. LOVE this card though, you can't get cooler than this mechanic though. I can only see this working in arena/ against unlucky opponents without turn 1/2 plays though, but if that situation arises, it's like a better wild growth. Cool as hell.

= pint-sized summoner (which is not good)
...can't imagine substituting it for defias ringleader or goblin auto-barber.

I have a feeling it'd be really cool with Shadow Priest.

FunkyPuffer posted a message on Hearthstone is ruined.Posted in: General DiscussionBefore i say anything, i dont want a stamp of a crying rank 20 player, and i dont think you'll read this through, but give it a try, i just want to say this because i think the game is going downhill really fast, someone needs to do something.
I was just playing Hearthstone as i noticed, i had faced 8 facehunters in a row. I got really. really. frustrated. Lets start off with the fact, that Hearthstone (IMO) should be a fun card game, am i right? It should be played for fun casually, and competitively. The truth is nowhere near that.
After the facehunter reached its true potential it got out of hand. And the only one we have to thank for that is Blizzard. I dont get the fact that they release BRM in order to maybe slow down the meta and stuff, then they release Quick Shot for hunter. Are u kidding me? It is a Darkbomb, Frostbolt (Wrath) plus a card draw, its just like Dr. Boom had power creep over War Golem, thats the exact same thing, Quick Shot is just strictly all around better. And for a class that plays aggro? You give them a bonus for dumping their hand and playing cards fast, thats just ridiculous. Why not try this: Deal 3 damage. Oh wait, it still buffs face hunter.
And when you try to make the meta slower without nerfing facehunter, the facehunter gets even stronger! Do you even realize this Blizzard? Yes, i bought Naxx, and BRM in order to have new cards that would have an impact, and i would have fun and try out new decks. What do i get? I get screwed over by facehunters more, im really losing hope on this game. You are making it so that players with high skill equal with players with lower skill. Which is really sad. I love the game, but i hate the game.
Then theres the thing that makes me sad the most. The players that do play those decks (outside of a tournament). I almost feel sorry for them, they would have so much choices, all the BRM cards and stuff, but they choose that path. By saying that i mean its not just about Blizzard, its also because of the players.
Im literally stunned about how you managed to make so promising and fun game, into so sad, and meaningless. Blizzard you really need to change the way. We pay you to get cards and adventures that at the end dont matter at all. Im not mad, im just sad. Im not blaming anyone i just want a change. Please tell your opinion and lets have a serious discussion. To all you who still wants to play the game for fun- FunkyPuffer

AmadeusNing posted a message on Monk class concept - Chi Chi Chi!Posted in: Fan CreationsMonk is a very interesting class to me. I've played with my Gnome Mistweaver Monk in WoW for about one year, so all the cards I designed are mainly based on my understanding of this class in WoW.
I suppose Chi is the key for a monk, so I introduced this concept to this class and hope it to be a fascinating characteristic.
The second thought is about Taunt. Monk may have a plenty of minions with Taunt but with reflectively low Attack. Low Attack can be buffed with Chi and abilities, so these minions won't be so useless in game. Also, I'm going to design some interesting cards to restore heath to minions with Taunt, therefore they could be more powerful once you have other supportive minions on broad.
Hero: Chen Stormstout
Hero Power: Meditation
* Chi can be restored over turns, but with a limitation of 5. It's a second resource for monk besides mana.

Jab
* Jab is a basic card and essential to provide Chi when dealing damage.
Tiger Palm
* Tiger Palm is like Druid's Wrath, but more efficient to draw cards with Chi.
Raising Sun Kick
* Good way to deal huge damage.
Spinning Crane Kick
Renewing Mist
* a typical HOT of Monk.
Brewing: Mana Tea
* In WoW, Mistweaver Monk is able to gain Mana Tea from the previous abilities which cost Chi and then consume Mana Tea to gain mana. I simplified this system into gaining mana through spending Chi.
Surging Mist

Apparently this card is "Balanced"....
I always thought that balance as a definition of a middle ground between overpowered and crap. This card is nothing more then plain crap and is an insult to logical card costing.
Heck it is an insult to the game designers intelligence.
4 mana for a weapon not worthy or being worth more then 1 mana HOW??? It literally blows my mind how they take a card then add 3 extra mana then what it should cost and then call it balanced.

^ Hobgoblin only buffs minions you play, not summon. And therefore does not work with Violet teachers tockens or Dr.booms boom bots.
1
Yall are forgetting about Headcrack!
If you even know what that card is...
TBH I think it would be fine if it was deal 2 damage to any character rather then just the enemy hero.
In most cases it would still be worse then SI:7 with the same cost and combo effect but at least it would be usable in niche decks that really struggle with card retention.

Hey man, done some changes.
I swapped out one sludge and one sap for 2 voilet teachers as this allows slightly early tempo catch up and synergises greatly with the huge amount of spells.
Also it's not a bad thing to be swapped by alarm-o-bot granted not as good as some other minions in this deck, but violet teacher allows your spells to create 1,1s which are great at dealing with the current metas early board flood.
Because she helps with the early flood an extra sludge is not needed as much which is why one has been swapped out.
It also adds some 4 drops to the deck allowing something good to be played turn 4, and it lowers the big spike of 5 cost minions.

At the moment this deck is not possible since Chromagus and Dark iron dwarf are not released. For this reason I don't want to make adjustments to add back sinister strike without knowing how the extra cards will help.
My thinking is Chromaggus might be enough to help with draw to remove a single Azzure drake. In this case a sinister strike will be substituted.
Like wise with dark iron may be able to substitute a deadly poison or a blade flurry, and then we can add another sinister here.
The reason why they are not in this deck currently, is because the times they are needed is when you verse very controlly/tanky decks and believe it or not these are already favorable match-ups. And so as many additions focusing on making the match up verses aggro and tempo better are more important then sinister strike.
Hopefully this explanation makes sense.
I will add that it will be very likely that I will swap something out for at least one sinister strike, as the draw with Chromaggus multiplying them sounds too good to miss out on.
1
Similar to Malygos in the fact that versing it and leaving it alive may mean your opponent could snowball out of control with comboed spells. However completely opposite in the fact this snowball comes through potential crazy healing rather then crazy damage.
2
It definitely can be you are right, I'm hoping however that dark iron can make up for some of the early game slack.
Plus keep in mind that you do not have to save conceal for auctioneer , the combo is AMAZING and easily worth the conceal on Emperor Thaurissan.
And I imagine chromagas as well.
I think you are wrong about control match ups however, this guy single handily DESTROYS control match ups since their role is to make you run out of steam with value trade, but you simply don't run out of stream with Gadgetzan and it will lead to easy 30+ damage combos.
2
Very true I will update it :)

Thanks man! Deck is almost the same, this version has chromaggus and dark iron replacing sinister strike and an antique heal bot however I'm thinking I might sub something else for those when I can play the new BRM cards.

What do you guys think of trading a Sap for a iron beak owl?
Benefits for the current meta:
- Counters paladin's aldor fucking peacekeeper.
-Counters mages freezes
-Still removes taunts for face combos
-Counters death-rattle bull shit rather then postponing it (with sap)
Disadvantages:
-Have to deal with the minion, unless you can go full face to win.
