Interesting card, very similar to Bronze Warden. I wouldn't be surprised to see this become a mainstay in a lot of DK and Paladin decks, it's really hard to remove without transform effects, and if you're just using it to trade with minions it will deal 12 damage before it's gone. It's also two divine shields for cards like Jitterbug and Funkfin. Looks somewhat unassuming at first but I think it's really strong.

Finalstan posted a message on New Warlock Rare Card Revealed - Touch of the NathrezimPosted in: NewsI main Warlock and it's a fantastic card in any scenario, almost too good (6 stat points for 1 mana with a minor condition), whether playing the quest or not. And of course the questline would get support - it needs it, otherwise it is dead on arrival. I fear that ignoring the quest completely but using all the supporting cards, which will inevitably be printed will give Warlock enough survivability for all Tickatus shenanigans imaginable etc. I expect more complaints about it in the new meta.

It's so strong that it's probably worth running quest before hand, then getting 4 8/8 rushes on 9 mana.

Not true. This is amazing against any token deck and will be particularly good against quest shaman.

Whomper is currently seeing 0 play, no popular lists run it, in fact I have not seen it even tried a single time on ladder, on streams, or any credible deck list site this expansion.
Naga mage is currently sitting at incredibly low winrates and could absolutely use a big buff like this.
All of the best mage lists do not run Artificer (Mech Mage and Burn Mage) so calling it a very strong 1 drop is ridiculous
Jazz Bass and Record Scratcher are not run in popular shaman or rogue lists and look underwhelming in the lists they are in
Astalor is not run in Frost DK, Pure Paladin, Totem Shaman, Mech Paladin, or Undead Priest which are all incredibly strong. The card is quite strong but with the loss of Brann I don't think it needs to be nerfed and it certainly is not the best neutral ever printed, not even the strongest in the current standard set.
I am going to assume that you don't play meta decks and that's why your reactions to these cards go against the stats in every way possible, because if you do actually play the game at a high level and have these takes you must be paying very little attention.

The expansion came out one week ago today, if you're whining about balance maybe you shouldn't play the game when expansions drop, it has been a mess every single time they drop an expansion and people act like it's never happened before. They will put out a balance patch soon, please stop filling every forum and twitter thread with your tears.

The whole expansion has repeat legendarys of the mercenaries, that's the entire point of these 3 sets

"The main fel spell" is not a fel spell bud

I like that we're seeing cards that are designed to beat aggro decks to slow down the game for quest lines. So far nothing insane but hopefully it's enough

They literally said patch notes would be announced Wednesday, y'all don't read

Some quick points I see in here
Priest is not and never has been the only control deck, tempo is just overshadowing most control decks right now.
Priest is doing well right now but even if they weren't the nerf is to address the fact that they win by discovering cards instead of actually building a deck with a win condition. This problem is more about Hearthstone as a whole and the abundance of 'created by' cards but Priest is the worst offender by a mile.
The druid nerf is also not because druid is OP or doing too well, it's because getting glowfly swarmed on turn 4 or 5 and losing off of that one card feels really bad. Unless you are able to clear it right away a pride's fury or arbor up locks most decks out of the game. Unless of course you're playing priest and discover enough healing and aoe to deal with it
I hope Blizzard will fix all this by buffing other cards in these classes to give them a more fun and balanced way to win games but most likely they won't. I understand people's frustration but most of the comments on this thread are just objectively inaccurate.
