I think this game works better in the arena mode. Which is obviously not good from their business standpoint when the arena is supposed to be a side-mode that some play a lot but most would play to spend their extra gold.
For example, see the game For Honor. When the main mode is not well designed, the playerbase drops like 50% in a few weeks. This is not as bad in Hearthstone which has sustained a sizable playerbase over the expansions.
Still it's too early to tell if Hearthstone is in trouble, considering Blizzard is good when it comes to retaining playerbase.
This makes me think Primal Zerg, especially Dehaka.
Idea of card adapting to situation is a cool mechanism and I think many are undervaluing what it means to have one card that can adapt better to a situation. It's kind of like how discover minions were undervalued before they were released.
Why hasn't Blizzard learned that "instead of a pack" is not a reward but rather a punishment to many players... Why can't they just do in addition to a pack like a normal person with a brain would expect them to do?
Because their reasoning to not add something to Hearthstone has been quite patronizing. They made up excuse when the players wanted more deck slots and yet they later did it anyway in a way that invalidated their claim. Essentially since the game is free to play, they want to make interface extremely easy to understand but once a while they do what the playerbase wants.
So they might think that displaying multiple rewards will confuse people.
This secret actually will be revealed when you play a deathrattle weapon tho (it triggered off my Tentacles for Arms). Blizzard coding at its finest.
Classic Hearthstone. The Four Horsemen encounter, the card text indicates that opponent's weapon get buffed if all other horsemen are dead, yet the actual coding only checks if they're on the field.
I know that they want to have simplified card texts but there are plenty of inaccuracies even in the stuff mentioned.
Obviously Standard format is a great business move and slows down the power creep. It also helps wild to be a bit more accessible as the new cards don't need to be that much more powerful than the earlier sets.
I thnk that the wild format will do just fine and wouldn't need that many drastic changes to keep its popularity as "the secondary" mode outside of the standard. The Arena is not taken account of course as it's the third wheel and for some it's what the Hearthstone is about and it doesn't really compete with other modes that much.
Unless brawl card pack etc reads in terms of service you agree or something, you aren't entitled to anything by them. This is just from a legal viewpoint.
Now, I'm not telling that you aren't allowed to complain but this is like when someone doesn't get their usual bonus and they storm to boss' office over it.
Personally, it would have been cool if they made card back just a bonus reward and still gave the free pack (defeat the cow king to receive the other reward.)

I'm amazed how many fell for it. The guy is trolling.

They could make it ignore taunts or do something directly against enemy taunts. Idea is that even if enemy taunts up, it would just crash through.

"Hey everyone! Get in here!"
Wild is going to be wild with this one.

It's because in card games where AI is well developed, they tend to plan their moves before playing them. Like in Yugioh card games.
Hearthstone AI is different, it plays a spell just because it can.

Where's your proof and why it would be a bad thing to be true?
Having more even matches is good for the players that aren't somewhere middle or top in overall playerbase in terms of skill.
Also, what it has to do with word "rigged" anyway?

As much it's supposed to be a "joke card" it could actually make a rager deck somewhat work.
