Well for me a combination on otk and res. Can't go full otk because of all the agro I'm facing. Have tried it with less taunts, but that's just not viable. Jepetto is a liability, but most minions you draw are not bad as 1 drops. With all the aoe and taunts you are able to stand a chance against token/murloc (the decks I'm facing the most currently). You don't always win through otk (velen + malagos) but summoning a massive board and having 2/3 vargoths blasting a mind blast is enough as well.
One Holy Nova should probably be cut for Zilliax. You already had 2 Mass Hysteria, so you had enough board clear.
Yeah seems likely. I don't want to pollute my res pole too much, but not getting to the late games doesn't help ;-) I'll play a couple of games more to see how it goes but if I face too much agression I'll try out your advice, thanks.
Convincing Infiltrator should probably be Zilliax.
Yeah I was really struggling to make that decission. In the end I figured I had enough heal so infiltrator would stop more damage on average. And infiltrator felt better to pull from res effects. If that's allatrue, no idea. Just my idea ;-)
I now replaced infiltrator with joybuzz to see how it works. However it leaves the deck with 0 taunt/survival other than spells and makes for a worse resurrect. But tutoring 2 minions has to be good in this deck.
I need more testing to know if this is good enough to survive sort of consistently upto t5 though.
And please keep up any improvements. Really interested to read all of them!
I added joybuzz (as mentioned above) but kept the rest of my minions. This way it seems less like a one trick pony to me. I have won a lot of times by just rolling the archmage and mureuta from mass resurrect. If I would just have joybuzz, velen and maly the deck can far too easilly
Why Lazul Scheme? 2 card slots I dont see you gaining anything from them. Im really curious.
It combos amazingly with topsy turvey. Next to thaot it makes forbidden words and shadow word: pain have more targets. And you can also use it to hold out one more turn to set a high att minion to 0 attack.
Lazul scheme basically makes it possible to kill a minion when you play one many big mana cards when needed.
I just tested jepetto and removed the taunt and pulled both velen and malygos for an otherwise lost game against a secret pally. Will remain testing it.
Well I have been unclear on the subject, but the goal is to have a velen, maly or even sometimes the archmage on the board and do an otk with mind blast.
As mentioned thethe bigg problem is staying alive and haven't been able to optimize the list, which is which I ask for feedback :-)
Edit: I have been thinking on adding gipetto but no idea if that would be ok, it will clutter the ress pool quite a bit. But a 1 mana velen and maly will probably win you the have on the spot
This seems like half a res priest deck, and half a otk priest deck. i would say pick one or the other, and gear the deck towards that strategy.
Well I might have called the wrong archetype but it is actually an otk deck. What part did you see as resurect priest? I only have one taunt that is not helping in the combo and that one I found crucial for survival. Everything else is to stick a velen of maly on the board and copy it with vivid nightmare or cloning and hit the opponent.
I have made the following otk priest deck. Due to the amount of removal I'm generally able to get to the latter turns. However I haven't figured out yet what could make the deck better. Any suggestions are more than welcome:
However I don't believe big priest has enough early game/combo possibilities after rotation to actually keep a strong winrate. Especially the 4 mana resurrect and 6 mana summon 5/5 will be such a big loss. Just try to play a game without them ;-) this is ofc talking about standard
Yet, this topic is about Wild, and you comment regarding Standard, and rotation? Geez, discuss in Standard if you care about rotation because Wild doesn't care about it.
Relax, there is no tag and I can't see the forum breadcrumbs from mobile...
Anyway in wild he might be, I don't play big priest there, reno priest is what I play and I actually added him in that deck as well.)
No he doesn't. He just have to have died at some point. If you now resurrect him with mas resurrect than you will cast a second copy at the end of the turn.

Well mind blast just let me win vs a druid with 30 armor and 30 hp while have a board with 2 LK's and other taunts. How would priest otherwise be able to beat that?
But don't worry after rotation the deck will be a lot worse (just try to play a game without radiant, the 2 mana discover and 4 mana resurrect). I tried it and it's really crappy
Vargoth is the man. I just won with my reno priest vs a mill rogue. This mill rogue was hard core mill and I think he shuffled like 12 coldlights into his deck by t5. He milled a ton of my cards (and almost all combo pieces). However I play reno with dragons so enough pressure on him all the time. By t8 he has 13 hp and I have drake on my side and vargoth +mind blast in hand.
