Great with cards that make cheap cards. Firefly, Spare Parts, Flame Geyser, Steam Surger, Ronin?, Ghastly Conjurer, Raven Caller, 6Mana Mukla, and Feral Gibberer. But is it worth building around?
What you stated is just one of a handful where this card might be useful.
This should be your hint that this isn't strictly better or worse than Unleash the Hounds. Mastiff is effective against tall boards, it's better when topdecking, it doesn't require combos or specific board states, and you can even drop 10 power on the board late game. If they make control hunter viable, they won't be crying about spending 8 mana killing an 8/8. Trading cards 1-1 in the late game and Steady Shot-ting sounds like the dream.
There are a couple things I would change here, but this deck is totally going to be a thing. Kingsbane+DK means you can never fatigue; it's probably a better end game than the current wild version of the deck. The secrets are also a better defensive suite than taunts or healbot in wild. As for changes, I think Ferryman, Shadowblade, and the Striders are unnecessary. I'd replace them with another Deadly Poison, 2 Cavern Shineyfinders, and Zola. The Lone Champion spots need to be a cheap defensive body. Lone Champion is probably the best 3, but I wonder if Wax Elemental is just too cheap to pass up, I've had some successful experiments with Annoy-o-Bot in wild. I'd also like to sneak Counterfeit Coin in there, I'm gonna have to try various combinations of Coin, Vilespine, Curator, Flade Flurry, Doomsayer, and (we can't forget) Sinister Strike. I hope you don't mind me theorycrafting on your build like that, I'm just excited to troll will mill again :P
I don't think it's as good as many people are saying.
No, it isn't but it's a horrible design for a game like Hearthstone. The text reads randonly remove your opponents win condition. If it works you won because of RNG, if you lose it did nothing. That is "Yogg design" (Uncounterable RNG BS with no downside) and Blizzard should really stop doing things like that.
IMO this makes a great case for Gnomish Vampire. In a control meta, this card would keep those decks honest, forcing them to play multiple win conditions.
The wording would make it appear so. If you had more minions that missing crystals, I assume you would go to 10 then draw the difference... pretty insane. I think these interactions more than make up for any awkwardness this card might have in the early game.

I'd be interested to know if this could be played before LK Jaina

Does this change your hero, too? Some of the decks just have to be better with Life Tap.

Except for the part where they have a totally different mechanic.

Making stronger versions of basic cards is not power creep, they were meant to be the bottom end of the power curve, not the middle.
