M0res posted a message on Expansion is great! Don’t believe the cry babysPosted in: General DiscussionSo the op enjoys a meta where you don’t care what card your opponent plays, there is no interaction at all whatsoever and you only focus on completing a quest in order to otk… you may as well play against a bot rather than an actual player as the experience is exactly the same

michael30 posted a message on Expansion is great! Don’t believe the cry babysPosted in: General DiscussionThis meta is truly shocking. The new quests although fun for now, create so many dead-games and in such a reliable way that it really makes you question if this game's worth your time anymore. Many others have mentioned how repetitive the game is with the new quests, and I agree.

Shadowrisen posted a message on Expansion is great! Don’t believe the cry babysPosted in: General DiscussionAgreed completely. There are definitely some balance changes to be made, but that is pretty much a constant. Folks would do well to remember, that there will literally always be cards and decks outperforming a majority of others, and banning those cards just elevates the next best cards to "broken" status.
I'll never forget the time someone seriously advocated for a nerf to chillwind yeti. He wrote this whole diatribe about how Innervate plus the four cost was horribly broken, and how the druid hero power added the extra point to get past Sen'jin Shieldmaster while still having a living yeti, at which point the game was essentially over.
Inevitably, there will be tweeks to rogue and mage, possibly hunter as well though I'm not convinced there yet. While we wait, this is a meta where at least seven decks have a serious chance at high legend. There have been far worse lacks of deck diversity in the past.

Akris posted a message on Quest warlock is cancer alreadyPosted in: General DiscussionPersonally I would just make Stealer of Souls only have the Mana to Health activate off the hero power...will that kill the card...pretty much but it still has some playability. Also this fix would allow it to be unbanned from wild obviously. Like I said above the fact the card is banned from Wild should just state how problematic this card could be potentially in a future expansion and clearly one of those cards that will limit design space, especially when Warlock got its face punched in all last meta.
Darkglare is fine and a cool interaction so far with Quest Warlock. I think putting Stealer of Souls into the ground will make the deck less like solitaire and more of the original idea of trying to balance life and death activating your quest while not putting you into a play where your going to get ganked by the opponent with a strong turn from them.

MagicalUnicorn63 posted a message on Quest warlock is cancer alreadyPosted in: General DiscussionQuest warlock's fine... all games, either they lose so much health from aggression + enemy damage that completing their quest practically means losing the game or get their win condition somehow messed up by having already wasted most card draw besides the hero power to take damage... OR get their win condition either snatched or eaten by stuff like Shadow Hunter Vol'jin, Mindrender Illucia and Mutanus, the Devourer...
Closest that deck has to an issue is indeed Stealer of Souls, who will PROBABLY end up nerfed as it finally started causing trouble in Standard rather than just Wild, and apparently that's Blizzard's line.

Pherosizm posted a message on [UiS] Your bold meta predictionsPosted in: General Discussion- Elwynn Boar will have a deck thats at least tier 2
MY bold prediction is that there will be Elwynn Boar decks that are actually meta.
I think this guy has a lot more potential to end games than people are giving it credit for. Especially with the Northshire Farmer now in the set, literally any class can technically pull this off. Albeit, some are still going to do it better and faster than others.

D_Lord posted a message on Something Blizzard does that I loathePosted in: General DiscussionQuote from sPacEtiMe19 >>Quote from BrindlePoint >>Agreed. Fuck streamers. Stupid how they get special perks and rest of us get the dick. They can still stream, why lock us out?
The instant response you’ll find from most is “it’s good publicity for the game.”
It isn’t. People are already hyped from the previews. If anything, I could easily entertain an argument that people would actually be (slightly) less hyped after seeing someone else already play the cards.
A huge part of the hype is playing the new cards, and I feel like watching someone else do it dilutes the hype a bit.
To add to this: From a purely in-game-economics standpoint, it's even negative value for Blizzard because there are fewer impulsive crafts early in the expansion and people mostly craft what they have already seen to work. And unless that fails spectacularly, which doesn't happen too often, this means that people waste fewer dust on bad cards, which reduces Blizzard's value.
However, it seems to create enough revenue for them to continue them doing it. It's also not the worst time for streamers tbh.
As much as I don't like these streams because they destroy the hype to me, I have to say that there wasn't much that surprised me, at least not this time. My hype has gone when I understood the Hunter questline.

gg1989 posted a message on Something Blizzard does that I loathePosted in: General DiscussionThe game is simply NOT fun at the present moment. They keep printing new and more OP cards in order to boost sales and attract more whales.
Battlegrounds are a breath of fresh air, but it is not competitive and interesting enough to attract viewers - face hunter, miracle aggro druid and no minion mage are the selling sheet - make your opponent rage quit due to RNG, which was a core NO NO before...

Slow. But, decent stats I guess.

Great against hordes of enemies with low attack power, or spells/effects that do multiples of one damage or similar.
3
Minionless Mage, eh? Looks like that'll be a thing more. Remains to be seen how strong it will be.

Seems good. Solid counter-aggro early game card.

Maybe best in Priest? I dunno. Seems okay.
