Here are some lovely things that can help you present your fan-made cards in a nice, new way! This is a recreation of an old thread I created, but this one's a bit more cleaner and concise, and it includes some new Hearthcards tips. Enjoy!
Custom Card Templates
In order to create custom card templates, you will need to go to: http://www.hearthcards.net/customsubmit/
This is for very advanced creators who want to make their custom class really pop and stand out.
However, every creator can use custom templates with ease. In order to use them, simply put in the code (for example, "{{CLASS=customclass1111}}") at the end of card text you want to add to the card.
Here is a list of some additional custom class borders.
Some do not have a hero card, or may use the old style of weapon card border.
{{CLASS=custom1}} Chef, CheeseEtc |
{{CLASS=custom4}} Firelord, Logovaz |
{{CLASS=custom5}} Gambler, Tox |
{{CLASS=custom6}} Gambler, Otovent |
{{CCLASS=ninja5958}} Ninja, McF4rtson |
{{CCLASS=warden1846}} Warden, Jengus |
{{CCLASS=riftblade5344}} Riftblade, McF4rtson |
{{CCLASS=beepboop5916}} "Motherboard", Jengus & McF4rtson |
{{CCLASS=seawitch25473}} Improved Sea Witch, McF4rtson |
{{CCLASS=runic9352}} Runic, original artist unknown, McF4rtson |
{{CCLASS=ringmaster9507}} Ringmaster, Walrus, McF4rtson |
Furthermore, here is a list of custom emblems. Simply click on them to get the code you need to put in. Like a custom class, they go at the end of your card's text.
http://www.hearthcards.net/setsandclasses/#3875->>>Emblems-
In addition, two emblems were added later on: {{EMBLEM=custom50}}, {{EMBLEM=custom51}}

I knew it!
Not really, but it seems like the right reply. :-P

So we're down the the final month of Hearthpwn... But there's a new website being run by the same people. Bittersweet!
I'll take a moment to list features I'd like to see in Hearthstone, one more time for posterity:
-Tournament Mode - This exists in most digital card games at launch. I want to que up with 7 other players, and compete to win prizes.
-Other Constructed formats besides Standar/Wild casual and ranked. Pauper mode, No spells, No Legends, one of the Brawl formats... there are a lot of options aside from Casual and Ranked, which have the exact same card pools and rules for both. Maybe Casual could be replaced by "Mega" with 60 card decks? There are literally dozens of options they could explore without any huge changes to the game, and hundreds if they want to get creative.
-Auto-Squelch - it can be deep in the options menu, but for those who want this, it should be easy to implement and harmless. If my opponent has me auto-squelched, you don't even have to tell me.
-Option to craft card-backs - even if cost is high, like 3200 dust, I think they should open this door, at least for the monthly card backs. I'd like the Pirate back for Pirate decks, and I missed that one. If the cost is really high, you respect the people who've had them for a while.
-More deck slots, even as a purchasable option - Yes, 18 is more than the original 9, but there are 9 classes, and two formats, plus single player modes that require deck building. Shouldn't we be able to build more decks if we want? Even if only 5% of users want it, it should be so easy to do this! I vote for 9 pages of 9, so each class can have up to 9 decks... That's 81 decks, and there'd just be an arrow to scroll through, either class based deck pages or just all mixed up so users could organize them how they want.
-Multi-player content. Think 2v2, or 2vE - fighting the Lich King with a friend would be pretty sweet. Fighting two players with a friend would be even sweeter.
-The Return of Adventures, which introduce roughly 20 new cards and have a low cost, shaking up the meta a bit. With the newest single player content costing $20, it blows my mind that they didn't bring back the cards, like old Adventures. It's a fun way to introduce a few cards between sets.
-Monthly emails with stats (they sent me one of these, not sure what happened) - They've already done this, just bring it back!
-A "first win of the day" bonus, perhaps 50-100 gold. This would be separate from daily quests, and in addition to the ten gold for three wins. Personally, this sort of gimmick makes me want to log onto Eternal and MtG:A more often, and I'd love to have something similar in HS.
-Other limited modes besides Arena, like Draft or Sealed - How sweet would it be to open ten packs, and then build a 30 card deck.
-Optional Chat - Sure, chat would probably be toxic. But it'd be something you could turn on and off. I'd love to be able to talk to my opponent when I'm in single-digit ranks, because we're both putting some time into the game. At rank 20, I'd probably leave it turned off. But shouldn't we have the option? Granted, it'd only work if both players had it enabled, but some people actually like to interact.
-In Client Deck Tracker - Why should you have to download and install an add-on to see what cards are left in your deck? Couldn't they add this to the game client, as an option?
-Dual-Class Deck-building options - Okay, this isn't as much of a Hearthstone feature as it would be an idea for new content, but it'd be great to build decks with cards from more than once class. Maybe this is just the Magic player in me that loves making decks with two or more colors, but I'd love to see this in HS, maybe with the downside of having no hero power when you dual-class. This would be hard, and might screw up the balance of the game, but I can dream, right?
I had some more ideas, but those are the big ones. To the Hearthpwn team, thanks for maintaining such a great website for all this time, and I'll look forward to seeing your new site as well.
Cheers,
Chantry

Regardless of what you think of these buffs, here's the bigger point: they're willing to do buffs!
Guys, this is the best news for Hearthstone in many years, seriously!
Will this help Warrior? Are some of these a mistake? Okay, okay, but listen: now the door is open. The can buff a few cards here and there, probably from a set that has been out for about 6 months, to inject some changes into the meta-game and give weak cards a chance to shine. Some of the current buffs may prove to be bad, but isn't it awesome that they're willing to try?

I've played tournaments in other card games, and it seems to be both feasible and interesting.
While I can't speak for the community, I can say that I know some of the features I'd like to see:
- Tournament Mode
-Other Constructed formats besides Standard and Wild
-Auto-Squelch
-Option to craft card-backs, even if cost is high
-More deck slots, even as a purchasable option
-Multi-player content
-The Return of Adventures, which introduce roughly 20 new cards and have a low cost, shaking up the meta a bit.
-Monthly emails with stats (they sent me one of these, not sure what happened)
-A "first win of the day" bonus, perhaps 50-100 gold
-Another limited mode besides Arena, like Draft or Sealed
Those are off the top of my head, not in priority order or anything. Anyway, there are a lot of things HS Devs could work on that I think a lot of the community would really enjoy.
Cheers!

I agree. I didn't pre-order the last couple of sets because I haven't been super-into HS lately, and now I'll have a hole in my card back collection... forever!
Maybe they'll introduce a way to craft/earn missing card backs at some point? Even if they make them an absurdly high 3200 dust (on par with a golden Legend), it'd open the option for people who really, really want missing card backs. Or different costs, depending on how it was originally obtained?

Picked JustSaiyan. Three packs, thank you very much!
Cheers!

If this was two men's wallets and one women's wallet, would people be triggered about inequality across genders?
It's neat that they're giving away some stuff, but this prize pool is pretty comical. Sure, I'm complaining about "free stuff" but it seems a little pitiful.

Sounds like a deal!
I only wish it included Shadows packs too (for a corresponding price increase, of course).
3
I'm super excited about War of the Spark. That's what this stream is about, right guys?
hehe

I'm not sure that having a game migrate to a new platform is a "birthday." There are cases to be made either for the start of the beta (August 16) and the post-beta release. Personally I view today as the "true" birthday for Hearthstone...
Happy Birthday, Hearthstone!
