AngryChicken posted a message on Mini Competition #2 Sudden Death - Submission TopicVaelastrasz the Corrupt is a red dragon and the second boss in Blackwing Lair. He has become enslaved by Nefarian and begs players to put him out of his misery before he kills them. One of World of Warcraft's original DPS checks, Vael puts a debuff called Burning Adrenaline on raid members that boosts their stats but eventually kills them, regardless of immunities or health.

ApothecaryAuguste posted a message on Mini Competition #2 Sudden Death - Submission TopicMind Control on a stick, but it greatly limits your turns, similar to Overload.
Note that the effect would be a buff, like how Shadow Madness works, so even if Razaan dies, you must pay the fee as long as you control the minion.
Also like Shadow Madness, the effect could be silenced to give the minion back to the original owner.

Make yourself a defensive minion or make that valuable enemy who hides behind the taunts killable or simply create more favorable trades (like your 3/4 for your opponent's 0/3, rather than 2/1).

'Remove all spells from your deck, and replace them with Dream Cards'.
"The Emerald Dream is Malfurion's favorite place to...disappear for thousands of years...relax".The Dream Cards are the same as the ones produced by Ysera. It's a costly card, but the value of each Dream Card is several mana more than their cost, and 2/5 of your spells will be replaced by minions, allowing you to switch to a more minion focused playstyle midgame.
The Dream Cards:The 5 Dream Cards are the same as the ones produced by Ysera.

Asylum_Rhapsody posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #39 - Discussion TopicPosted in: Fan CreationsHello everybody! Sorry for not making myself more available this week. It's been a pretty crazy Halloween weekend. =)
Two things:First, I finally settled on an entry concept!
Lots of people have done something like this, just a bigger version of Hungry Dragon, but I'm more in this for the thematic than the mechanic. Of all of the minion cards in Hearthstone, Loot Hoarder, Raid Leader, and Questing Adventurer are the ones that, interestingly, represent players rather than characters. You know, some people go into raids to collect rare items, some go in for the social aspect of coordinating the raid, and some are just in it for the story-line and the quests. So, here we have Generic Boss Monster, and it's going to spawn for your opponent a party of exactly those players. =)
Works best when combined with something like Consecration, but it's pretty late in the game by the time you can pull off a combo like that. And even if you do kill all of your opponent's minions right after summoning this thing, they still get a card via Loot Hoarder. Normally making your opponent draw cards would be cause for concern because of mill decks, but given the circumstances here I don't think it should be too big of a deal.
I'm not 100% on the art is the big thing.Second, the other mods and I did get to discussing some of the more grey-area entries of cards that produced tokens that screw with your opponent's minions. Problem is, we're having a lot of trouble defining a hard line, as even some of the entries that produce perfectly neutral minions for your opponent at the same time clog up their field preventing them from summoning more. And, of course, tons of the entries that just give control of one of your minions to the opponent can be easily used on, say, Venture Co. Mercenary, and we want that to be okay without drawing an arbitrary line between existing minions and new token minions (since, practically if they were really in the game, they'd be treated the same). It's been a tough week to deal with, and because we've not quite been able to come to a well-defined consensus, we're going to, as usual in times of disagreement, be more lenient about it and only disqualify the most egregious violators.

Battlecries...that's hot. Deathrattles...sooo not.
Background: Haris Pilton is an NPC in World of Warcraft. She is a vendor in Shattrah City who sells an expensive 22-slot "Gigantique" Bag which was an upgrade over the standard 16-slotters that most players had during that expansion.

Let's see Avenger's Shield. I am sure the animation would look great in HS.

This card summons two cannons and then two pirates, dealing 8 random damage from the cannonfire. The ship is destroyed after the Battlecry effect resolves. If you have a weapon equipped, your two deckhands also have Charge!
This idea was improved from my original Dread Ship Vazuvius thread.

A very simple and basic "combo enabler" card to promote a rogue murloc deck.

Rogue Weapon:

This piloted shredder prototype hasn't been fully tested yet...
This card provides a huge tempo advantage since it trades 2 to 1 with most 2-3 drops but has a big downside once it dies. Thoughts on balance?
The other options were a 2/4/3 or 2/3/4 - Deathrattle: Summon a 1-Cost minion for your opponent.
2
This summons a Dancing Swords for your opponent. Wondering if I should make the Weaponsmith a 4/4 as well. That way you can either kill the Swords right away with a spell or minions on the board or they trade and you draw a card.

Changing the crewmembers to 2/1s with same text would make the ship a 7/7/6 split between 4 minions that also deals 4 random damage and has pirate synergy.
Or I lower the ship to 6 mana which makes it a 6/5/6 split between the 4 minions.
