Here is a better idea, just make paying health go through immune. MTG already has rules in place surrounding similar scenarios (Paying health, losing health, and taking damage are considered three separate things).
People complaining about Mutanus like he is the second-coming of Tickatus, he is literally a direct counter to him and Control Warlock in general. Most minions in that deck are either important legendries or chaff that will be played immediately anyway. Just wait until the warlock plays a seven cost card and slam Mutanus down, 'Extraordinary' followed by concede guaranteed.
Commenting to resurrect the thread due to it seemingly being buried. Seen a number of Tickatus threads which should have been posted here if you're wondering why I have done this.
I personally believe that the cost of crafting Wild cads should be half, Leg 800, Epic 200, etc and the packs should cost 50 gold (May have to adjust dust refunds and dusting obviously). Would make sense as they can only be used in half of constructed modes (We don't talk about duels) and because of the sheer mass of cards which are needed to effectively play wild. Wild battle decks would also help as well, but not secret mage as we already have enough bots.
As a Tickatus player myself here is my two cents. I believe that while he is not overpowered in the same way as the Caverns Below or Patches the Pirate is, he is still debatably one of the most feels bad cards in the game. I also believe that their is no real way to properly nerf him without killing the card, to the extent that those who hate him will agree with at least. To be honest he should never have been printed in the first place, another equally powerful card with a less abrasive effect should have been made instead. To reiterate, I do not believe he is necessarily overpowered, just annoying mechanically (Shown by the 49% win rate held by decks using him). So to conclude we realistically have two options, just bare with occasionally having Tickatus matchups or find an equally powerful yet less annoying replacement.
Mechanically fun card yet way to risky to actually be playable, alongside the fact this really did not need to be spellburst from a balance perspective.

I didn't say it was good just said it was technically -17 mana.

Edit: This is also from a Ticklock main as well.

That moment you realise Quillboar was officially supported before Undead as a minion type...

All they have to do is add a defile check and cap it.

This will give deck trackers a run for their money.

Depending if this tracks health while in hand or not, this may be overpowered.

Read the wording, for nerfed standard cards rotating to wild like Dr.Boom Mad Genius.
