posted a message on Design Philosophy on Hearthstone's Golden Animations with Hadidjah

The core of the druid class has always been shapeshifting; therefore, Malfurion's golden animation should show the various druid forms briefly ghosting/merging with his portrait one after the other (i.e. you see Malfurion, then you see an epic bear form faintly superimposed with him, then Malfurion, then cat form, Malfurion, boomkin, Malfurion, sea otter, Malfurion, tree of life, Malfurion, swift flying, repeat). And it wouldn't even have to be all the forms; bear and cat are the iconic druid forms, just those two would be awesome. Just a thought.

    2. Pick all removal cards when offered, with the exception of naturalize

Don't be so quick to discount Naturalize, it's an amazing tempo swing when used correctly. My last few Druid runs were much more successful thanks to having a 1-mana hard removal available to me. So many times your opponent ends up with a handful of cards they can't use because they don't have enough mana and/or time. Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

posted a message on Arena Highlights: share your stories

I've got a few, but I think my favorite is from a Warlock run from a while back (Whispers meta). I don't recall the entire board situation exactly, I just remember I was playing against a Druid, I was coming up on my 7 mana turn with a Wrathguard on board and my opponent chose not to kill it... which was FINE by me! On my turn I played Floating Watcher, traded the Wrathguard, then played 2 Flame Imps... which resulted in my Watcher being 10/10 on the same turn I played it.

    Instant concede.

    Good times!

Aaaaand now I miss wild Arena again.

posted a message on Why arena will never be worth it.

Arena is worth it for one simple reason: it's more fun than ladder. Honestly, if you're complaining about an 11-win run, you've got issues. It's a game; have fun or quit playing.

posted a message on Blizzard is Considering Options for Druid - More Information this Week

    Ultimate Infestation - change all 5's to 3's (i.e. deal 3 damge, draw 3 cards, gain 3 armor, summon a 3/3 ghoul).

Jade Idol - change the "shuffle 3 copies" option to "shuffle 2 copies".

That should rein things in just enough.

posted a message on Which card to pick?

I'd likely take the drake. Doom and Nether, while powerful, give your opponent the initiative the following turn, so unless you have an insanely strong followup (hard to swing in arena), you're still behind, which is usually deadly that late in a game. Drake gives you a bit of board clear and a solid body on the board. Just my $0.02.

posted a message on Rogue... why is so good?

I challenged myself to play every class 10 times to help me learn each class, and at one point I had 2 consecutive rogue runs go 0-3, and I started 0-2 on my next rogue run. But finally something clicked, that 0-2 run ended up 5-3, and my 10th run with rogue went 12-2. Rogue is the best tempo class in the game. What is tempo?

    https://www.icy-veins.com/hearthstone/what-is-tempo-in-hearthstone

It's a generalization, but "make the highest tempo play" is a good rule of thumb for rogue. It's not always the best play, but it's a good start. Good luck!
