Reknar427 posted a message on Cloaked HuntressPosted in: Cloaked HuntressDecent card, good. The only problem might be hunter card draws. With this you will end with empty hand really quick. The best solution might Lock and Load. But maybe some decks will take advantage from it and try to make Core Rager viable. 4mana 7/7 for Hunters? Who knows...

The rare first boss in the kobold dungeons, Bink the Burglar, makes an obscure reference to one of the earliest computer gaming franchises when you emote him, but I seriously doubt anyone under the age of 40 would get it.

I've had multiple legendaries and struggled. I've gone 12 with zero epics and zero legendaries. It's not that important.

Call me crazy, but I'm actually starting to think Warrior may surprise people in arena this expansion. Common wisdom for arena is tempo and board control, with life gain and armor gain being less important. However, the sheer volume of armor-synergy cards is making me wonder if an armor-centric arena draft would actually work. It would take a vastly different mindset from current arena play, but given Warrior's abysmal performance lately, maybe a new approach is needed.
Of course, my first Warrior draft after the expac will offer none of the new armor cards, so...

Where's my Snowflipper Penguin?

I want to make a quick point about Lesser Pearl Spellstone: it doesn't matter what the target is that gets health restored. It could be your hero; it could one (or more) of your minions; it could even be your opponent or your opponent's minions, though the situations where that would be advisable are rare. I can already see a turn 5 play: value-trade with 4-drop, damaging it by 3; heal 4-drop with Farseer for 3; drop 4/4 taunt for 2. Corrupted healbot synergy as well.

C'thun cards, including c'thun itself, have always been possible in arena as a result of random or discover effects. The same holds true for all other cards removed from arena. The removal is from the drafting pool. Example: hunters cannot draft Snipe, but rogues can still get it when playing against a hunter via swashburglar, undercity huckster, shaku, hallucination, etc.

So now instead of getting sniped by Wild decks, Kripp will get sniped by Death Knight decks!
Out of curiosity, I checked hsreplay.net for stats on hero cards in arena. Average win rates for decks containing hero cards are over 50%, as are average win rates "when played" for all except Valeera the Hollow. What's really crazy, though, are the "when played" win rates for Frost Lich Jaina and Bloodreaver Gul'dan, which are both over 68%.
This is probably a good change for arena. This also means I only have 4 days to finally draft a death knight...

So my last dual-class arena got retired at 2-2. I login to check my quest and get rewards, open my pack from the run and get 4 blah common cards.
And this:

It's still really early, but the combo I'm already dying to try is to hit a Carnivorous Cube with another Carnivorous Cube. Immediately spawn 2 copies of the minion eaten by the first cube, then the second cube dies and spawns 2 more cubes, which will each spawn 2 more of the original target... yes, please.
Of course, with my luck, my second cube will get silenced. Or Mind Controlled.
