That feeling you get when you're on a hunter run in arena, you have a Scavenging Hyena on board behind 2 taunts, both of which happen to be beasts, and you have both Snake Trap and Venomstrike Trap active.
The core of the druid class has always been shapeshifting; therefore, Malfurion's golden animation should show the various druid forms briefly ghosting/merging with his portrait one after the other (i.e. you see Malfurion, then you see an epic bear form faintly superimposed with him, then Malfurion, then cat form, Malfurion, boomkin, Malfurion, sea otter, Malfurion, tree of life, Malfurion, swift flying, repeat). And it wouldn't even have to be all the forms; bear and cat are the iconic druid forms, just those two would be awesome. Just a thought.
Speaking from my experiences in arena as of recently, the arena is in a state of chaos. There are still certain cards that are overpowered, but some of the Frozen Throne cards are broken OP. Bone Drake, which is new by the way, is ridiculous. If one gets a couple dragon synergy cards and a bone drake, they have not one, but two activators for dragon cards. There is also the issue of some classes lacking hard removal, specifically Druid and Paladin. And is it just me, or does swipe not appear in arena? This makes gameplay with and against certain classes pretty hectic.
And if you think it's a horrible card that should be avoided at all costs, The Lightforge disagrees with you (145 rating, 5th highest rated Druid common).
I've got a few, but I think my favorite is from a Warlock run from a while back (Whispers meta). I don't recall the entire board situation exactly, I just remember I was playing against a Druid, I was coming up on my 7 mana turn with a Wrathguard on board and my opponent chose not to kill it... which was FINE by me! On my turn I played Floating Watcher, traded the Wrathguard, then played 2 Flame Imps... which resulted in my Watcher being 10/10 on the same turn I played it.
Played the stupid tavern brawl twice, lost both times, played once more just to try and get the stupid pack... and "Your opponent left." Done with this idiotic brawl!
I confirmed today the issue is not related to my browser choice. I used my phone's default browser (Samsung Internet... /shudder) and tried to access Hearthpwn.com, but rather than the "user-is-banned" tag on the address (seen with Firefox), I got a "Runtime error" (???). Again, all other internet traffic worked fine, and the default browser accessed fine over mobile data, just like Firefox. /perplexed
I have no idea if this is related or not, but I'll mention it in the interest of full disclosure: occasionally while browsing hearthpwn, both on mobile and on my PC, I'll get a splash page from Firefox reading "The server isn't redirecting properly." This issue almost always resolves itself by simply clicking the provided "Try again" button, but similarly to the other issue, it only happens with hearthpwn. /shrug
Thanks for looking into this, Flux. I know enough about programming and networking to know how much I really don't know, but I'm struggling to even hypothesize on this one.
Arena is worth it for one simple reason: it's more fun than ladder. Honestly, if you're complaining about an 11-win run, you've got issues. It's a game; have fun or quit playing.
At least as retarded as Innervate's nerf is tho, u will no longer have to fear a T2 4-drop from a druid ever again, noone will ever pick that card in arena again, ever.
I'm posting this from an open access WiFi other than my work, so it's definitely something specific to my workplace.
I should add that this is a recent problem (no more than a week or two). I'm not sure exactly when it began, but it's a new issue, as I've been freely accessing hearthpwn from work for over a year.
I don't think that's it. I've seen the "access denied" splash page for a blocked website (accidentally tried to refresh a, shall we say, "inappropriate" website one day... whoops!). I'm not getting that splash; as I said, my address bar read "hearthpwn.com/user-is-banned". I think there's something else going on.
Greetings. I'm having an issue connecting to Hearthpwn on my phone from work. While I am connected to the WiFi at my workplace, when I try to access the hearthpwn.com domain, I get an error from Firefox saying "The website isn't redirecting properly" and the address shifts to "hearthpwn.com/user-is-banned". I've done some troubleshooting and testing, this is what I've hashed out:
If I disable WiFi on my phone, I can access the site just fine.
I have not found another internet destination that gives me the same issue on my phone while connected at work.
Accessing the site while my phone is connected to my home WiFi works fine, as does access from my PC.
I haven't specifically tested accessing the site from other public WiFi's, but I don't recall it being an issue anywhere else. I also haven't tested using a different browser while connected at work; I'll try that tomorrow if necessary.
Based on what I've tested, it seems there's an issue in communication between my work's WiFi router/server and the hearthpwn server. I don't want to post my workplace publicly, so if it's needed please PM me. Thanks!
