I just went through the comments of the new Regis youtube video and I saw someone mentioning Odd Warrior getting a buff in wild.
Now, I don't think that this archtype will be that strong immediately after the nerfs (Big Priest will benefit from Kingsbane Rogue's absence the most), but if the priest deck gets weakened one day, then warrior players will have a reason to be happy there. Increasing Elysiana's cost to 9 makes that deck stronger against other control ones, so Odd Warrior gets a strong tool in that MU.
Control is not viable in wild till Blizz nerfs Barnes/big priest. You can't outvalue big priest's insane late game of diamond spellstones and resurrects. Only aggro has a chance by rushing them down by turn 6/7 before diamond spellstones just wins the big priest. Barnes will win big priest turn 4 in many games as well. Odd Warrior wouldn't run Elysiana anyway, useless vs. aggro and big priest anyway.
I have a stupid question. How does the current Big Priest deck look like? I haven't played competitively in wild for 2-3 weeks, so I can't speak from first experience but some users claim, that the newest ladder Big Priest decks cutBarnes in favour for Catrina Muerte. They claim, that Barnes became obsolete and only ruins the resurrection pool. If this is true, then nerfing that card won't affect the deck that much. Archmage Vargoth made the deck even more annoying than before and it's not just one card that needs balancing, but I don't know what the perfect nerfs can be. Before it was obvious that Barnes was responsible for all of this, because he enabled early-game mana cheating and Big Priest was vulnerable if they couldn't resurrect the big minions early on. But with every expansion priest improves its arsenal of good defensive tools and manages to delay the game.
Now that Kingsbane rogue will be nerfed, this will be even more visible.
Cutting Barnes from Big Priest is suicidal, it is the only card that makes the deck somewhat viable.
1. Mulliganed away Talonpriest, one of the best cards in Arena, but kept that 4 mana 4/2.
2. Played that 4/2 instead of Proud Defender on turn 4, while opponent had Stormforged Axe equipped.
3. Turn 5, you played Murloc Tidehunter and evolved it with Witchy Lackey, floating 2 mana. Proud defender was certainly a better play.
4. Turn 6, Holy Nova was better than playing Doppelgangster.
5. Turn 9, you played Undertaker instead of Proud Defender, floating 5 mana.
There were couple of other questionable plays, but you need to realise that in Arena, tempo matter a lot more than in constructed. You can't be sitting with full hand and making low tempo plays while waiting for some big swing turn like in constructed.
So stupid question. Where do you find what format the tournament is playing? Entering for Seoul qualifier and can’t find details. Thanks
Format is bo3 Specialist. One main deck and two side decks, each having at most 5 different cards than main deck. First game you have to queue with primary deck, you can switch decks in other two games.
I have found Nomi Priest to be almost unwinnable against as a control warrior. Might be a hard deck to pilot and has a bunch of other bad matchups, but I think if you are good with it then control warrior doens't stand a chance.
Maybe control bomb warrior might, but even then...
(just keep Nomi in your opening hand, don't want to lose it to some random hecklebot)
If Warrior gets Dr. Boom early then Nomi Priest is not a bad matchup.

You Seance the enemy Archivist when they play it.

Shaman and Priest can still do the combo.

Nobody plays FoK and Vanish main deck. Only Myra's and Raiding Party are affected by this nerf.

Play Hunter, Mage or Mechathun Warrior

Proven where ? Rafaam is only slightly useful against Control Warrior and is a burden against everything else.
