    Quote from Citadel1 >>

Its grandmasters tournament this weekend, Blizz does not want to make changes during tournaments, even though the current meta is a dumpster fire.

This is false, HS Esports is in the top 5 things related to HS that Blizzard gives 0 shits about. Blizzard has done balance patches 1 day before GM before. If they wanted, they would have released the balance patch this week.

Don't know about others but I won't complain about the meta if there is a viable Priest deck.

posted a message on Hearthstone Esports suspends Zalae

It doesn't matter if Zalae is innocent or not, it is pretty clear that there is a clear side that society will take and so will Blizzard.

Maybe it is sad that people don't care about bringing justice rather want to paint one party as guilty and be done with the case. There is certainly a way to not dismiss/blame the victim while also not treating the accused as guilty without any 3rd party evidence, but that requires nuance, which is clearly lacking in many people (including myself).

Personally, on my impression of Zalae, he appears to be one of the biggest douches in the HS community and I don't think he is completely innocent. But I also believe that Blizzard, based on how they have handled previous allegations in the WoW community, has done NO investigation at all instead, they realised today that they have an accused player on the GM roaster and decided to take the safest way out.

posted a message on How accurate is Metastat's winrate chart?

I mean most of those decks have 1 card different from each other, but yes Paladin is ultra broken.  Realistically, there are 4 different Paladin decks with winrates from 52% to 57%.

posted a message on blizzard team 4 expeansions ahead

They are 4 expansions ahead, that's why Paladin is so broken now.

In Year of the Dragon, Paladin was super shit, so decided to pump steroids in Paladin for the last whole year and this expansion - Librams in AoO, Hand of A'dal in SA, Weapon in DMF, secrets and draw in FIB.

Since they are 4 expansions ahead they can't stop and change the cards based on the meta.  Paladin should have gotten meme cards for this expansion instead, it got the best set out of all class.

I don't see much hope for Priest and Shaman this expansion.

Shaman have a early game of minions and weapons really good now, if broken of the charts stuff like paladin and mage being nerfed the deck have a chance, priest is out of the meta until something really broken in next expansion bring they back from the tomb.

Shaman had good aggro and burst but no consistency. If they would give 1 draw card from Rogue or Mage to Shaman, it would T1.

posted a message on Who will rise post-nerf?

If only Mage and Paladin gets nerfed then Rogue will be very strong, not that it isn't already. That 3 mana auctioneer is just too broken.

Warrior, Warlock, DH and Hunter should also be pretty good.

I don't see much hope for Priest and Shaman this expansion.

posted a message on everyone needs to play new Nozdormu

Nozdormu is a bad solution to a real problem.

A good solution would be to show a prompt at the start of the game to each player asking whether they want to play in the Blitz mode (15 secs turn), if both players agree then turns are 15 secs.

No need of putting a dogshit card in the deck and pray to match up with someone who did the same.

posted a message on How are they going to fix Paladin?

Paladin wouldn't be OP if pen flinger didn't go face and literally, every single counter to it is kicked out of meta by Mage and Warlock.

well, people post very often that they do not like to lose to rdm. But its just not true that deck of lunacy is really rdm. There are very few cards at that high mana cost and if you make your spells cheaper twice your deck of lunacy gets worse. So if you think about it its not very rdm at all and you will see very similiar results different games.

     This folks, this.

People complaining about the randomness of Deck of Lunacy are missing the point. It's not problematic because it's random. it's problematic because it was supposed to be random, and it became consistent after rotation.

Mage have (at least) 4 7+ mana spells

there are only 2 10 Mana cost spell : Nagrand Slam and Survival of the fittest.

Thus Mage has a 50% chance of each card turning into 7 mana Nagrand Slam (which might get discounted once again), and a ... 6,25% of at least one of those becoming a 7 mana Nagrand Slam. at this point it's not random anymore

Let's check the 6 mana spell pool now:

    Skull of Gul'dan
    Nourish
    Runic Carvings
    Initiation
    Sprint
    Hand of Guldan
    Deck of Chaos

4/7 of those are card draws... above 50% odds of drawing at least 3 cards.

Mage usualy have 5 or 6  3 mana spells (combustion, arcane intellect, and usualy 1 or 2 secret)

which increase the odds of drawing a copy (or more) of Nagrand Slam... which usualy wins the game as 7 mana summon 4 3/5 with charge is ridiculous to deal with for most classes.

But even the other options are decent/good except deck of Chaos.

The spell pool is just too good now that the bad cards have been moved to wild. The odds of getting a bad outcome out of lunacy are just extremely low.

Nobody cares about it being random or not. It shouldn't be a viable card at its current mana cost.
