Priest is weak right now but if it gets any good spells to discover next expansion, it will be the sooooo annoying. The strategy isn't good yet but I agree with OP that it's whole strategy feels really lame to play against. It can discover copy after copy of board clears and it competes with mage and rogue for the most bullshit cost reduction. Luckily, they currently don't have any good value cards to take advantage of.
I mean, they were bad before rotation too and were still bottom 3 so unless Blizzard prints another Mass Rez they still aren't going to be that strong
Give back Northshire and print more proactive cards like High Priest Amet etc and Priest will be good without any Rez effect.
I think so. Regarding watchposts, I think it was a huge mistake from Blizz sending them to trash like that. Just look at the past week GM. Half of the matchups were agro. That's disgusting, it's a competitive game. Games shouldn't be a 7 turn top deck race...
3 mana watch post shouldn't have been nerfed. Now hunters roam fearlessly on the ladder with close to 0 counters.
People get happy when nerfs are announced thinking that all annoying cards are gone so they will win more not realising that all nerfs have one thing in common - to bring average win rates down to 50% —> more grinding
pretty weak nerfs. Looks like rogue is getting hit quite a bit. Lunacy is basically the same deck. Paladin also. shame it took so long to just change the mana costs.
Are you just trolling? I can't believe someone can look at the Pen Flinger nerf and straight-facedly claim Paladin is "basically the same deck".
Anyway, the community should have nothing to compain about for the inevitable aggro surge coming up. Despite the constant malcontents, Lunacy heading up to 4 mana will be a relevant issue to that deck and Paladins may or may not still religiously run Flingers, but they've lost a reliable source of damage.
I imagine Control Warlock will enjoy a couple of days in the sun and then the aggro builds will get RE-refined and Tickatus and Jaraxxus will go back to being tier 2/3 bench warmers.
Evidence proves otherwise. Penflinger is just an average winrate card in libram Paladin according to hsreplay and is actually on the lower end of win rates. It’s just one of the options available to libram Paladin and it will most certainly find another way to oppress the meta.
What winrate are you talking about? played or drawn?
Without Pen Flingers, Paladins will be unfavoured vs Control Warlocks by quite a margin. Secret Paladin should still be T1 but Libram Paladin will probably go to T2.
Spellemental is pretty cool. Has some tempo, has some board clear, has some value generation, has some damage from hand. It lacks draw, obviously, but between overload and discover it's generally not hurting for resources until very late. No healing, which is really just an issue against spell mage right now (hopefully a big nerf makes that go away). And then it lacks the ability to build a sticky board, but that's pretty much every deck in the meta right now.
I don't think it's gonna be a great deck, but it has transform effects to deal with Pally and taunts + AOE (handles those 3/1 stealthers pretty well) to fight Rogue. Wouldn't shock me if it were a playable deck post-nerf.
That assumes that Tickatus won't be playable post nerf. I would be really surprised if Shaman found a way to deal with Tickatus.

I like it, Priest desperately needs ways to end the game.

What nope ?

Both sides because it is a 1 mana spell, so it shouldn't be as good as the Counterspell.
And not random minion of the same cost because I don't like random secrets. Secrets are already pretty random, doesn't need more imo.

I would make it so if the opponent plays a X mana spell, instead, both sides get X/X minion on the board.

Paladin is literally the best everywhere except Top 200. Need to be nerfed few more times.

Play Warlock and stop crying.

Sometimes a secret resolves in between other spell's trigger but generally secrets triggers after the spell resolves.

? Rogue has been top for like 6 years.

Yes, 3 cards that saw play in Rogue decks got nerfed but it doesn't matter much since Rogue is still very good, just slightly less good.

What? average wr is always 50%.
