If it hits the late game, Shudderwock is absolutely brutal! Wish I had the cards/dust to give it a crack myself!

Well first u should take out the bad cards: Nefarian, Chromaggus, Rend, Hungry, Volcanic, Spellstone (this cant is not good for a dragon deck). I dont see any use for Emperor, Velen, Crushers, Nova, Mind Control. U are missing some of the best wild dragon cards. Making a midrange dragon is the best way to go i think. I would make it like this:

Yeah, I've found I'm getting annihilated a lot in the late game. It seems my opponent is aggro and runs out of steam, after which my bigger dragons steamroll. That, or my opponent plays for the end-game into Shudderwock, N'zoth, DK Jaina/Rexxar/Gul'dan, or some other super card/combo that can't really be stopped once it's rolling. Kinda sucks, I really wanted these dragons to work!

I think I definitely need to tone it back a notch and play more for the early/mid-game. Cheers for sharing what you're using.

Also, what's the value of crafting Scaled Nightmare? Does it work alright? Is it too slow? Does it see much use in other decks? I remember reading that it can be useful for a Lich King (PvE) combo, and feel it would slot nicely into wild dragons. Just want to know if I'm looking at it with rose-tinted glasses. It is, after all, an epic.

In regards to this, would I be better off crafting a second Twilight Acolyte and possibly even Cabal Shadow Priest. I'm not really keen on crafting another Cabal Shadow Priest, as I'll probably crack one in my next classic pack. Twilight Acolyte is safe: I can't see myself spending coins on any more K&C packs.

Oh man, Drakonid Operative, how I love you! Amazing card.

Did some tweaks, but, oddly enough, have gone back to a win/loss/win/loss set of matchups. Guessing my original run probably included some favourable matchups! Shadow Ascendant hasn't really worked the best for me. If opponent is more aggro, running smoother tempo, or control, it just feels like a dead card. It might be better if I used more smaller minions, like Netherspite Historian, but I'm not yet ready to buy that adventure or throw 70 dust into the wind just to trial her.

I did end up dropping Shadowreaper Anduin and Prophet Velen. Despite being amazing cards, that I just can't seem to find a home for, the other top end stuff feels more effective. If I find myself in a meta-bubble constantly outplayed and stuck against controlled boards of high-powered minions, I'll gladly bring my DK back.

Some groovy decks! I had a crack at odd hunter, utilising Clockwork Automatin. Couldn't quite keep up the tempo. Felt like it was missing a little something. Not sure if I abused the Glacial Shards as needed. Might have another crack at it!

Oh wow, play on NA. I find the lower ladder decks, in wild anyway, aren't super good. Usually it's all homebrews or standard netdecks with a few changes.

Interesting deck idea. Probably the biggest issue I can see: there are 4 minions that buff, if you're holding a dragon, and only 4 dragons. I haven't played Even Pally before, but other than Sunkeeper Tarim, is there any other reason to stick with the one mana ability, and the even restriction?

He has 6 dragons, a little more would be nice but there arent any good at the even cost for a midrange deck, maybe hoarding dragon could work, but then it has to become a more midrange deck to work. The 1 mana dude is really strong heropower.

Derp, I didn't take in the Dragonsmith.

So the quest is most likely a safe disenchant? I hate getting rid of legendaries.

Ooooh... Anything could happen. I don't disenchant my legendary cards, especially non-gold ones. Unless you can use the dust right away to craft something you really need, I'd hold off.

While I don't have the quest, my Clutchmother Zavas and Blood-Queen Lana'thel are yet to find a comfortable deck in standard or wild. If we could choose what cards we discarded, it could be a lot more powerful, but as it is, the mechanic kind of sucks. Also, if my legends do hit a point where they are looking alright, my opponent's board is already up, and he can play better cards next turn.

I've not used the quest and the portal, but I don't think it's going to work very well in the meta. Might be fun in the adventures?

Consider that: You don't need to win against everyone, you need to win against a great part of meta decks...
Also, Velen is good if you are playing a control deck, but with a 1 spirit lash is pretty useless.
Also, shadow reaper anduin is not good because you literally kill your own minion.

    https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1132096
Look at this deck i made for you, it's just an idea... but why not?

I had a pretty interesting Velen combo earlier: Emperor Thaurissan >> NEXT TURN >> Prophet Velen >> Holy Nova
Literally swung the game right around! But yes, spirit lash and DK, and possibly even Velen, might not be the best choices.

I like what I'm seeing in that deck! Is Shadow Ascendant worth it without protective taunts? I've got a couple already, but every time I've used them, they die before they can be too effective. Also, Kabal Talonpriest, are they mainly for Tempo, or are they pretty good at keeping our buddies alive? Would definitely give more presence early game.

Yeah, Drakonid is by far one of the best tempo play at turn 5, check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dyk-8HiTtwg

    Really useful.

Cabal Shadow Priest is a counter this meta card, if you are facing a lot of big deck (big priest, big hunter and such) you should use her. Otherwise, just go full tempo because she is more control oriented.
Why not try spiteful priest deck? You could use a lot of dragons and cool legendaries, only 4 spells (200 dust :) ) and 2 Spiteful Summoner (really good card played in Tempo). Doing this mean that you should cut your other spells, mainting only these 2 spells :
    Mind ControlFree From Amber.

Speaking about your deck, spirit lash is pretty useless if you want a good tempo play, try Netherspire historian. Rend Blackhand? Don't like this one, it seems that you are putting random cool cards. It's ok, it's cool to see something new, but you should try to make a game plan when you are deckbuilding. Tempo? Control? Aggro? Combo?

Your deck is a midrange, as i can see, with a balanced mana play.

Just personal advices as old Spiteful Priest player

I think my deck's goal is to be dragons! Haha!I think as an old MtG player I always try to keep decent tempo. I'm not much into control, but I understand this deck, and dragons, thrive in the late-game. I also know there are some way more powerful late game decks. I want to keep pressure building, then strike with big dragons. It has been playing pretty slow, however.

Netherspite Historian will definitely find a home in the deck after I buy my final adventure! So far, I've found Rend Blackhand pretty useful. Yeah, he can't murder any minion, but he's snapped a couple of Lich Kings for me! I personally think his great, and I'm yet to go up against someone in Wild who hasn't played a legend! If I later find him sitting in my hand, not being played, I might drop him.

I think I've been including Spirit Lash as my only decent standard deck is Odd Paladin. I'm terrified of that card! But yes, it sits in my hand, not being used. An easy drop!

Deck looks good but i don‘t believe in thaurissan, chromaggus and nefarian. They might be too slow to climb. Maybe thaurissan is ok to increase your cost of cards a little bit (because he usually dies next turn).

Check out my dragon priest deck which helped me to climb to 15 and some times to 13 ;)

It‘s more expensive, yes. But you don‘t have to take all legendaries of course.

Ah, I don't think I'll go highlander. Lots of cards in your deck that I don't have! Ysera would be an awesome end-game for any dragon deck. How do you find the Dragonfire Potion? It might be a good craft option for me, but I'd imagine it would suck when going up against another dragon deck!

I've avoided [card]Northshire Clericas I feel she is too easily dealt with in wild. I also never feel lacking for cards with this deck (my version) as it plays pretty slow. [card]Chromaggus and Nefarian will help fill the hand later on. I also avoided the destructive power words, as I feel they can be a bit situational. I'm an absolute beginner with priest, so tell me if you think my thoughts are wrong.

     Hi,

try Drakonid Operative, such a strong card/tempo play.
Try Cabal shadowpriest with acolyte cutting mind control, it's stronger than mind control alone

     Cheers Then3lli!

I've actually got one Cabal Shadow Priest in my collection. I put it in at first, then took it out to make room. On paper it seems to have amazing synergy with Twilight Acolyte, but I never seem to be able to pull it off. Only having one of each may be a problem.

Drakonid Operative does look amazing, 5/6 for 5 is great, and that battlecry is some nice icing! Probably a safe craft too, as I can't see myself purchasing any more Mean Streets packs!

Played through Blackrock Mountain Adventure today, and oh boy, do I love those cards! It's my third adventure--only been playing for a couple of months--and I love how these adventures open up Wild to new players. Was a toss up whether to go for One Night with Barnes, as I recently obtained Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound after purchasing 7 packs of each old set for legends. Glad I opted for dragons. Dragons are awesome. I also cracked a pair of Duskbreakers recently too, so I'm all set to rock!

Here's the deck I put together:

    Blackrock Priest
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (21) Ability (8) Playable Hero (1)
    Loading Collection

Mucking around with Wild (Everyfin is Awesom Murlocs, Reno Highlander, Terribly attempt at C'thun, cheap sorta-Jade ramp) I usually win as often as I lose, hovering around rank 20/19. Well, after a few games of up and down, getting a feel for this build and tweaking it slightly (poor Cobalt Scalebane) I went on a winning streak up to the verge of rank 16 before a loss. Pretty happy with that! The non-Blackrock stuff are all cards I've collected (nice to finally put my DK and Prophet into an effective deck!). I don't like crafting willy nilly, but interested to see if folks think there's any chance something like this could rank close to legend.

Initially I thought about dropping the whelps and technicians to add more spells and increase the value of the spellstones, but the tempo feels really good, and I'm not sure if it is worth it.Games usually start with a bit of trading, then a wipe from the Duskbreakers, then onto the bigger stuff!

Emperor Thaurissan is the bomb, love throwing him out on curve. He usually dies, if that happens, but man he helps! Chromaggus is a legend, and seems to always ensure I end up with 2x  Shadowreaper Anduins in my hand. I actually wonder if he is worth keeping, but it seems to help out a lot when I'm up against other priests.

Just realised that, outside of Blackrock, I've only used standard cards. I may also pop in Troggzor the Earthinator. I know he doesn't get much love, but he was insane to use during the adventure!
