posted a message on First Turn Advantage [video]

For those interested in game theory, here's a great video about balancing first-turn advantage in turn-based games. The video even directly references Hearthstone a few times. Enjoy!

I used to hate CW as well... then I started playing Shaman.

Black Knight for sure. I have a Bloodmage and it only sees play in spell-heavy decks, but Black Knight is much more malleable. Whenever you start seeing a lot of Handlock it's super valuable, or nearly any Druid match.

On the side, thumbs up for the awesome Queen lyric in your sig!

posted a message on Is this Shaman Death deck any good?

I've been working on a Deathman deck as well lately. I'd STRONGLY suggest a second Reincarnate, Sylvanas, Stalaag/Feugen combo, and more sticky minions like the Golems or Shredders.

Windfury is a nearly-useless card when you can run Windspeaker instead.

In my deck, I found that Haunted Creeper didn't quite make the cut. It makes sense on paper, but in reality isn't quite right.

Right now your deck looks like a mix between being a zoo deck (Juggler, Dire, Creepers, Stormwind Champ, Bloodlust) and a midrange deck (Piloted, Yeti, Loatheb, Fire Ele). I'm curious to see if it'll actually work out. I haven't played enough Shaman on ladder to know how to properly pace it.

If you're curious, I once encountered a Priest death deck who ran Auchenai, Baron Rivendare, and 2 Zombie chow. In the right circumstance, those 2 little 1-mana creatures can cause 20 damage to the hero!

In fact, you could argue that Mechanical Yeti is already an instance of power creep.

I would argue that Mech Yeti and Vanilla Yeti are on par with each other. While mech yeti has the advantage of mech synergy, you're also giving your opponent a free spare part card when it dies. I only run vanilla yeti anymore, can't stand the thought of my opponent getting a Freeze or Taunt part at crucial moments (which have certainly happened to me before!).

posted a message on Shield Slam OP. Nerf?
    Quote from TouchedSage »

Ive never understood why Shield Slam does not take damage from the target since it is basically an attack with your shield. Can't imagine that Blizz would ever change it thou.

This is how you fix the card, right here. For 1 mana, this card is essentially another removal in the right deck. I've seen the Sjow CW deck everywhere lately, and this card is part of why it's so strong.

If Blizzard introduced a "Destroy Opponent's Shield" neutral it'd make shield slam much more balanced, even at 1 mana.

posted a message on Iron Sensei Rogue deck?

I've got a really fun Sensai deck that I run casually that actually makes good use of Target Dummy. It makes a great target *ba-doom tsh* for Sensai to boost if you play on the same turn, AND can be used to great effect as a 0-cost combo trigger.

posted a message on Why No Paladin Hard Removal??

    Hey All!

I realized recently that every single class has a hard removal (or really good soft removal) except for Paladin. Is there a reason for this?

posted a message on Wrath or Anodized Robo Cub?

Robo Cub is a cool card and serves a good purpose when needed, but Wrath is a stronger card card imo.

It's Mortal Coil AND Darkbomb in 1 single card depending on the circumstance. Very valuable, very good for early removal or even late-game damage (only on minions).

As someone above posted, I'd look into Zombie Chow more than Robo Cub for a Druid deck.
