I'm surprised to see griftah cut, I have an extra 4 wins against control decks from duplicating the 1 mana deal 6 amulet with Pip and a few Acupunctures or 1 mana deal 3 damage potions to burst them from ~20 HP. The draw 3 amulet is great for refueling and the opp's is nearly useless (draw 3 discard 2). Heal 12 can actually buy you an extra turn in the aggro mirror too, as their amulet only heals 6. If you low roll, you summon a free 4 cost with taunt and use it for tempo. Seems like a great card! I won't be cutting my copy
went 5-0 but stopped when I felt my soul drying up. it's fun for a few games, but the gameplan of: play a 1 mana minion on turn 1, a 2 on turn 2, etc finish with amanthul to scam you the win every game got dull fast. I'm just not built to grind aggro decks on ladder lol. I'mma go back to losing as rogue
sasquawk works badly with trying to res amanthul. infact, using this card post-amanthul gets really weird since if you pick minions with higher cost they get rezzed instead. maybe with amanthul x100 running Ra'den would make sense
no restriction here! 3 mana tutor 3 minions with minion types from your deck should NOT cost 2 mana. you don't need to run an 'only menagerie minions' deck. simply include a clutch selection of typed minions (almost every minion these days) and draw them for 3!
played 5 matches, lost every single one. There's no tempo, hardly any draw, only running awkward 2+ card combos to clear a board. Odd deck so no Heartbreaker Hedanis for closing out games. I saw your update to the decklist, I like the later-game threats you added. But I really don't know how you plan on winning matches.
I am a big fan of your deck and write up. I too am a Rin enjoyer, such a stupid fun card.
My first game was against a reno warrior who I beat SUPREMELY easily. He ratted my sarg post reno which irked me, but then I played Rin into reverb, and with the 6 cards already burned from symphony he conceded pretty quickly afterwards. I had a 10 mana windfury gain 8 armor weapon so I had 30 armor stacked by the time he gave up.
I tweaked the list slightly for personal preference, tell me what you think of my changes.
Gemtosser is good, but it's better in a tempo deck than an attrition strategy. I think 3 forge cards in a reno deck is the perfect spread to hit the forge cards consistently without sitting on ignis as a dead draw. Mechagnome can also offer you a clutch discover at discounted costs. 2nd Symphony of Sins for 2 mana anyone?
I also moved around the ETC cards, I took out 2nd viper and Encroaching Insanity (if you could explain it's purpose better that would be amazing). Added Gul'dan's Gift and a Defile. My philosophy with ETC in reno decks is to use him to run extra copies of key removal for situations that I don't have an answer to.
For Zilliax, I've been running Virus + Perfect in all of my control decks. The poisonous with rush means it can take down any threat while healing you for 4. It then leaves behind an ELUSIVE 6 health taunt, and with the 'nerf' that took stealth away it reborns and puts a 4/1 divine shield taunt on board. Many games have been turned around because Perfect Virus Zilli couldn't be targeted with a burn spell. The opponent has to trade and give you the lifesteal to get through.
I'm thinking of cutting Doomkin in favor of Audio Amplifier. Doomkin is a good card, don't get me wrong. But it's pretty much only good played on turn 6. I'm just not that kind of gamer, I like consistent cards that do their effect no matter when in the game I hit them. Kind of like Gemtosser, Doomkin is a good card but not in this kind of deck I believe. I always run Audio Amp with 9 mana reno so I can play reno and shoot the 1st bullet in the same turn.
With all the small minions, how consistent is Loken? I haven't actually drawn and played him in the few games I played. I'm interested if he low rolls too much in a deck like this. Maybe run Flint Firearm in his slot?
And what's your idea for the ideal Saloon Brewmaster bounce? Ignis seems obvious, but what else are we bouncing in this deck? If we do fit Audio Amp in this deck, you could play 9 mana Sarg into Brewmaster to double down on portals and protect against reno clears.

and the mixologists are EXCELLENT. card draw, minion freeze, armor, aoe, you can pull basically whatever you need out of him. great idea!
