If you just rolled through, would it be any fun? Meeting a boss that seems overpowered, then later building a deck you destroy them with is a lot more satisfying.
The first bosses are easy like you said, so your early card picks should be in preparation for the end game; not just whatever makes your deck better right now.
I actually think everyone should be able to have all the cards at the end of an expansion (even F2P, and at the very least those that pre-purchases). Whatever is required for this to happen is what I want done to the game. I suppose what I'm saying is that those that spend loads of money on the game should get more gravy than just golden cards...
Another day, another rant out of proportion form the community, isnt this is just deflection from the fact that almost all hearthpwn and reddit got BTFO with "to my side" actually been good?
"Out of proportion" is just the right proportion to reach those that can do something about it.
I mean: other DK would not change their impact in time, and rexxar would improve on and on since kft indefinitely...so then would have been be nerfed.
That's simply not true.
If you add good beasts, the chance of getting something good increases.
If you add bad beasts however, the chance of getting something good decreases.
So you see, Blizzard would have every opportunity to keep Rexxar in check, or to reduce his strength would he become too strong.
It's the same with Evolve. You could argue that the more minions are released, the stronger Evolve gets. We can clearly see this is not true according to the analysis done by players.
Their decision had nothing to do with keeping him balanced.
My take on all of this, as someone who neither own the card, and probably never will.
I always found it quite annoying that when I see a zombeast, I cannot easily see the two merged cards. Even when mousing over the card, I can only see the art for one of the beasts.
I can read the text sure, but that is like learning a whole new card for this match only. A much quicker feedback would have been to just show a picture of both beasts when you mouse over it. I would instantly know the two effects I had to deal with via memory of card art. The text on the card itself could have simply said 'Zombeast'.
This would have solved any translation issues with too much text on one card, as well as making any new beast automatically be available for Deathstalker Rexxar.
I feel for everyone who has the card. Their solution is really inadequate...
Maybe in future expansions if Pally gets more dragon love...? The cost reduction wouldn't carry over when you resummon it though (correct?) which makes it not all that great. Also, it speeds up your play by one turn. Maybe it helps give you a tempo play turns 6+. Still, doesn't seem that worth. Would fill deck space for other cards.
It gets automatically equipped the second time, so you only ever pay for the weapon once. 6 mana -> infinite value (As long as you have minions in hand).
I'd be happy to see it work. I love me some Pally decks, but I just think there's better 4-cost cards to include. If anything, I would quote your point back to you. All I have to do is pay 6 one time, then it's infinite value. Why include 2 cards at Pally's most full mana cost just to reduce the cost one time? Not trying to sound snarky. Hope it doesn't come across that way.
Don't worry, you come across as someone making a valid point.
I did not try to make a point about Ebon Dragonsmith though. I agree it does not seem worth running. The mana cost is indeed quite awkward with the many good Paladin cards at 4 mana. Ebon Dragonsmith might have fit better as a 3 cost card, letting you play Val'anyr on turn 4. Even then, I would consider the interaction very optimistic, and still not worth running.
Hearthstone gives good feedback most of the time. Displays cards and animations an adequate amount of time so anyone can follow what is going on.
You are in complete control of your own turn. No waiting for your opponent to answer what you're doing.
It's engaging and varied enough so you have to think a little; but not too much so it's a strain. Competitive, yet very casual. A perfect blend.
You can still play Hearthstone, even if you have half an eye on something else at the same time; and can be played in both small and large chunks of time, depending on what you have available.
For me, it's the easiest game to start up to have some random fun.
Great review. Spent a lot of time reading this. Loads I agree with. I'm hoping Carnivorous Cube beats your 2 stars. I feel it's more flexible than you think. It could be used to kill off some taunt minions and re-summon, damaged minions or death rattle minions. I just feel that there is a lot of opportunities here.
In this review, 2 stars is not so bad. 1 star is a very wide range of cards from To My Side! to Aluneth, while 2-5 is a very narrow range from good to crazy as far as I can tell.
Pretty cool. Requires you to play only those two minions, draw correctly, stay alive, have 10 mana (8 with Embrace the Shadow), keeping armor off the target, as well as not running into ice block. Seems balanced enough to me.

I usually kept my golden cards, but the game is now just too expensive if you want a large collection to build your decks from.
Function over form. Disenchant golden cards that you don't treasure.

To those saying post a replay, maybe teach him how?

Why wouldn't you just run those spells in normal Hunter decks? There is no 'no minions' requirement to them.

If you want it balanced for spell hunter you could make it like this:
2 mana spell:
"Summon a 1 cost minion, or 2 if your deck has no minions."

Death Knights will be a common problem for a deck like this, with their innate 5 armor. Need some extra damage apart from the combo.
