I just don't see you getting a board presence in this deck, and unless you are trying to delay til [card]Pyroblast[card], you just won't be able to deal enough damage to the opponent.
BGH is a must-have when you get up to Rank 5. If you don't want to completely drop Mirror Image, then don't. I only run one BGH in my Rank 2 control Druid. Just drop one of whatever you feel you don't need. M.I. really just isn't necessary against most decks. It get you an 0 for 1 in terms of card advantage. While it can be useful against aggro, it won't help that much, and aggro isn't the only type or deck out there. Against things like handlock warlock or control druid, it will be useless.
If you want to get anywhere in this game, Mage probably isn't the way to go. Unless you're a pro (like Trump) maybe play some Warlock aggro. Most of those decks are relatively cheap to craft and can dominate if you know how to play them. If you are set on this deck, drop the Mirror Image and Arcane Explosion immediately and craft a Faceless Manipulator and a Big Game Hunter, as well as maybe a couple of Argent Commander. Some better legendaries like Ragnaros the Firelord would be nice here to give you that surprise finish you say you rely on.

Eager Trainee would be really OP.

Add two Ancient Watcher for that combo with Sunfury Protector. That should help with your hunter aggro problems. Maybe swap out your Acidic Swamp Ooze and Starfall. BGH is also almost mandatory in Druid control.

Yeah... even with that change that card is broken. Basically a 12 damage Pyroblast with an 8/8 tacked on? Really?

Though i can see Army of the Dead+Obliterate+Hero Power becoming the new Force of Nature/Savage Roar combo.

Like the hero power.. not OP yet viable in the current meta.
