This may be what Elemental shaman needed to be competitive. Getting a "potential" maximum of 4x Blazcaller, 4x Servent of Kalimos, or 2x Kalimos himself is no joke.
This triggers all your 1-cost elementals for the following turn becauase it's an elemental. Also potential Ozruk combo?
The seals are always playable when the common "draw go" happens in a control game. The taunt is always useful in an aggro game. This card should be ranked Playable.
"Draw go" doesn't really happen with Warlock though. You can't afford to build a deck that's too reactive, because then you start to burn cards or skip your Life Taps. But if it does become common even then Rin takes a backseat to Jaraxxus. I can't picture a scenario where I'd wanna play Rin over Jaraxxus and I can't picture a meta where I'd want both. I'd also prefer Jaraxxus against aggro. There are redundant taunt options but almost no healing in Warlock.
If "draw go" doesn't happen, so what? It doesn't change anything. You only play seals when you have an opportunity to. If you don't have an opportunity then you simply don't play them.
I also don't think Lord Jaraxxus is needed since we have Bloodreaver Gul'dan. He fills that roll arguably better. You also can't really compare Jaraxxus to Rin because one is a 6 mana 3/6 with Taunt (early game) while the other is 9 mana and can't always necessarily be played on turn 9.
The thing about this card is that Rin herself isn't unplayable. 6 mana for a 3/6 taunt is decent, whatever. You aren't going to lose the game for playing that.
But people keep saying "OK, next turn you play the first seal, then next turn you play the second seal, then..."
No. You would immediately lose the game due to massive tempo loss if you do that. Instead, she sets you up for a longer control game. You play the seals as they become available to play, over a multitude of turns.
Against an aggro deck you will likely play Rin for the taunt, but you will NEVER play the first seal. Unless you're already winning...
I believe this card will definitely be played in Control warlock and will sometimes do "the big thing". The seals are always playable when the common "draw go" happens in a control game. The taunt is always useful in an aggro game. This card should be ranked Playable.
Really looking forward to this expansion. I love how they keep taking a new perspective on class legendaries - Quests, Death Knights, and now "enchantment" style Weapons.
One thing I don't like is the uncertainty Blizzard has with the information on these expansions. With MTG you know when spoilers start, how many weeks spoilers will last for, and the release date of the set. We have no idea when we'll see a new card or when the set will even be released :/

New theory: warlocks actually get no other cards this expansion. Just the one weird legendary.

The tribe must be Elemental? Looks like they're pushing elementals this xpac?

Very good with Valeera the Hollow

How is this card not Meta-Defining! If there's a weapon-heavy meta, this card will be run in most decks AT LEAST as 1 of.

Like everyone else is saying it's very good with Medivh. You get an 8/8 Medivh, the Guardian, the Ultimate Infestation package, the 10 drop from Atiesh, then probably a 7/7 Kun the Forgotten King, into a 10/10 Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound, which maybe pulls The Lich King or Deathwing, Dragonlord?
11
Summon a 7/7 Kun the Forgotten King. Deal 5 damage. Draw 5 cards. Gain 5 armor. Summon a 5/5 Ghoul. Gain 10 Mana Crystals. Summon a 10/10 Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound. At the end of your turn, put Deathwing, Dragonlord from your deck into the battlefield.
Nice card.

Don't underestimate the power of being able to actually kill a minion with your weapon

Turn 4: Voidcaller
Turn 5: Carnivorous Cube + Lord Jaraxxus
Turn 6: Defender of Argus. 5/7 and 4/16 taunts.
Turn 7: They killed the Carnivorous Cube? Now Mal'Ganis and whatever else coming down.
