Easily RATTLEGOREEEEE! - He just sounds so hyped to be there.
Also a fan of Brightwing, which sounds just magical, Kel'Thuzad as the first instance and in my opinion best of the "long speech" style of play sound, Eadric the Pure as just a really good line-read on the VA's part, all of the original versions of the League of Explorers for tonnes of personality, Sunkeeper Tarim for one that I've not been able to get out of my head for no apparent reason, Professor Putricide for how likeable he sounds, Griftah for immediately conveying the card's fantasy, Madame Lazul because the music is perfect, Goru the Mightree because I just like it, Mindflayer Kaahrj for how satisfyingly basey and inhuman that "bod-eeh" is.
And for the meme category... "I am Mal'Ganis, I AM A TURTLE!", Tyrion's "Put your face in the light", "Unity, Precision, Perfection" and of course "I'm in charrrrge here!"

What? I like a lot of play sounds.

posted a message on For everyone who was crying about how amazing Glide was pre-launch and how it needed to be nerfed immediately...

The problem I had with Glide was never that it was necessarily OP - I was conflicted about its power level. Its problem is that it does the same thing Divine Favor got hate on for years on end - it punishes control decks for just existing, with no real counterplay at all (what, you're going to waste board clears so that they don't Glide them out of your hand?) - but it does it in a way that feels even worse by not just benefiting the aggro player, but by actively taking resources away from the control player when the whole point of the archetype is to have a lot of cards in hand to be able to answer everything. They took one of the worst-feeling cards in the history of Hearthstone and made it feel even worse. The design of Glide is pure garbage, whether it costs 1 mana and is amazing or it costs 10 mana and is the worst card in the game.

Also I want to throw my voice in to say that yes, the meta is currently completely wrong for Glide. I'm not convinced it'd be all that OP even in a control-heavy meta, but pointing out an anti-control card sees no play in a fast meta as though it's some sort of failure just betrays a lack of understanding of how card power levels work.

posted a message on what happens at D3?
    Quote from fabjx >>

It cannot be me. There is no way it is me

I'm sorry, I really don't want to be rude, but it absolutely is you. It can only be you, in fact. Over fifteen thousand people got Legend this month (and that's just on EU, where I play). Some of them, including me, hit a wall at some point during their Diamond climb and lost a lot of ranks (I dropped from D2 and D1 to low D a bunch of times), but none of them were like... sabotaged by Blizzard in such a way that they're 100% guaranteed to drop down to D5 once they hit D3. What's most likely happening is that around the time you hit D3 your MMR gets high enough that you're matched up against better players. Even if the game is coded to sabotage people once they get to D3 by picking bad matchups and giving you bad draws, thousands manage to overcome that sabotage and keep ranking up to Legend. Not to be that memetic "git gud" guy, but there's nothing you can do other than up your game and beat those players.  The only advice I can give is to take a break once you start going on a loss streak. Even if you don't know it you're probably getting frustrated, tilting, and playing worse. Take a breather, watch something on YouTube or pour yourself a drink, and get yourself to the best mindset you can have. Also, unless you see the meta shift completely against it, try to stick with one deck and perfect your play with it. You'll do better piloting a deck that has problems in the meta expertly than constantly switching to try and counter the meta and playing five different favoured decks poorly.

    Best of luck!

posted a message on The D5-Legend grind

My advice is to keep a close eye on your own mood. As soon as you start going on a loss streak and are starting to feel annoyed or desperate, stop. If you're just playing a casual session, stop altogether, if you're trying to grind up some ranks take a ten minute break, watch something on YouTube or something, anything to take your mind off HS for a short while. Don't convince yourself that if you play one more game you'll stop your loss streak: You're probably a lot more on tilt than you realize, and it's causing you to play way worse than you usually would. As soon as you notice yourself sliding into even a little bit of a sub-optimal mental state give yourself a bit to refresh and get back to your best. It's a lot more beneficial to your rank to spend ten minutes refreshing yourself than to spend them losing another game and tilting even further. For me it usually takes three or four losses in a row to get me to the point I need to take a breather - find what that number is for you.

posted a message on another 2500 gold is bullcap

In the shop it very clearly states these perks last "during the Scholomance Academy expansion cycle", and I'm pretty certain it said "Ashes of Outlands" before the expansion released. I'm sorry you accidentally wasted your gold, but come on, the text is right there and incredibly clear, you cannot blame Blizzard for this type of thing. Complain all you want about the price being too high (and it is), but the communication on how this pass works is clear.
